Jason Kelce is embracing a totally new fanbase thanks to his brother Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift.

The former Philadelphia Eagles star shared how his public interactions have shifted dramatically over the last year on the Wednesday, June 12 episode of his and Travis’s New Heights podcast. “Before, it was mostly fat, hairy guys who’d recognize me. Now, it’s 12 to 14-year-old girls saying, ‘Oh my God! You’re Travis Kelce’s brother!'”

This change comes as Travis has been nominated for the “Favorite Male Sports Star” category at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Travis, up against other notable athletes like Patrick Mahomes, Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, and Stephen Curry, expressed his disbelief at being included among such elite company. “What the f**k,” he exclaimed as Jason read the nominees. “It’s insane that my name’s even in there,” later adding, “It doesn’t make any sense.”

Swift also received multiple nominations for this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards, including Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Album for The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, Favorite Global Music Star, and Favorite Ticket of the Year for her Eras Tour. She also has two nominations for Favorite Musical Collaboration with “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone and the “Karma” remix with Ice Spice.

Travis may begin to look into other endeavors, as recent retirement rumors have been circulating. The 34-year-old’s recent contract extension secures his place with the Kansas City Chiefs for at least the next two seasons, but many wonder if he will call it quits after. However, the star tight end seemingly remains focused on his football career, as reporter PJ Green of FOX4 Kansas City posted a response from Kelce on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, June 11.

In the post, Kelce expressed, “I know there’s opportunities outside of football for me. I’m still a little kid when I come in this building… I love coming to work every single day and doing this. I’m gonna do it until the wheels fall off.”
