Former NBA star Kevin Garnett’s notorious trash talk has earned him a reputation that has rubbed several players the wrong way, including former Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem. The critics of Michael Jordan have always wanted to address Garnett’s unfiltered comments and took the opportunity again to call out KG.

Udonis Haslem Says Kevin Garnett Isn't As Tough As Kobe Bryant And Tim Duncan - Fadeaway World

In an interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Haslem did not hold back his feelings about Garnett. He criticized KG for his behavior on and off the court, suggesting that Garnett’s trash talk doesn’t equate to being tough.

If we would’ve been at the park, I would’ve had to pop the trunk. You probably want to take KG off that tough guy list. Now, great basketball player, yes!” Haslem said.

Despite Garnett not making any direct remarks against Haslem, his comments about other Heat players often infuriated Haslem. These instances of Garnett’s trash talk fired up Haslem, leading to his recent public statements. By calling out Garnett, it seems Haslem used to address the long-standing issue that has bothered him for years.

Udonis Haslem Has a Long Disdain Against Kevin Garnett

The Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics rivalry from the early 2010s left a lasting impact on both franchises and their players. This fierce competition is one reason Udonis Haslem frequently calls out former Boston Celtics star Kevin Garnett.

In 2022, Haslem paid tribute to Garnett’s illustrious career. But, he couldn’t resist adding a cheeky note highlighting his disdain for Garnett’s off-court remarks.

Much respect to the career that Kevin Garnett had. But the s*** that come out his mouth sometime ain’t got nothing to do with basketball and is the most disrespectful s*** I ever heard in my life,” Haslem said.

Garnett earned a reputation as one of the nastiest trash talkers in NBA history during his time with the Celtics. His sharp tongue was part of his game, often intended to get under the skin of his opponents. This style left a sour taste for many, including Haslem.
