Following the departure of Tyreek Hill, the team faced significant challenges in the wide receiver department, a weakness that opposing teams exploited in the previous season, resulting in several losses. Additionally, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes expressed frustration due to this deficiency, prompting the team to seek a new receiver ahead of the NFL offseason.
