Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his fiancée Brittany Matthews are embracing the summer vibes.

The new mother shared two heartwarming snapshots on Monday, capturing the couple sharing a kiss while sailing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, during their recent vacation. Matthews captioned the Instagram photos, “Us & Ster,” in reference to their darling daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, who is four months old.

In the photographs, Matthews can be seen in an orange swimsuit, while Mahomes holds her hand, sporting red boardshorts. Fans couldn’t help but gush, with one commenting, “The cutest couple in sports,” and another writing, “You two are couple goals.” Mahomes and Matthews, who have been together since high school, got engaged in September of last year in Kansas City. Matthews was presented with an enormous emerald-cut engagement ring, estimated to be worth approximately $350,000. Both 25 years old, Matthews and Mahomes welcomed their first child later that month, announcing the impending union on Instagram with Matthews saying, “Mom and Dad, making a brief detour to the wedding.” Matthews, a fitness trainer, gave birth to their daughter Sterling in February 2021, just several weeks after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The couple, preparing to exchange vows the following year, recently shared photographs of Sterling’s face for the first time. Initially concealing Sterling’s face during the birth announcement, Matthews assured fans that they would “share photographs of their daughter when we feel the time is right.” In February, Matthews addressed her Instagram followers, saying, “I know the internet will immediately take photos of her and share them everywhere, so I’m just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared with the world,” as reported by E! News. “At the moment, all we can do is enjoy every moment spent with her,” she continued.
