HEARTWARMING: Travis and Jason Kelce overcome with emotion discussing their mother Donna on New Heights podcast

TRAVIS Kelce and his brother Jason have broken down in tears discussing their mom Donna.

The NFL pair welled up during a special recording of hit podcast New Heights following last year’s Super Bowl.

Travis is looking to win a third ring as his Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.

The 34-year-old tight end has endured a remarkable year both on and off the field.

He is currently dating pop sensation Taylor Swift and already has three touchdown catches in the NFL postseason.

A year ago, the Kelce brothers came up against each other in the annual NFL showpiece.

Travis found paydirt as the Chiefs triumphed over Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in a thrilling game.

In the run-up to the contest, Donna had captured the nation’s heart by wearing a half-and-half jersey to support both her boys.

During a recording of New Heights from February 2023, Travis and Jason got emotional talking about her reaction following the game.

“Well for some reason when I saw you I wasn’t that emotional,” Jason said, recounting when he met Travis on the field.

“I was really, really happy for you. I think I was still caught up in the game though.

“I just wanted to try to not bring you down. Just wanted to say congratulations and was really happy for you but was still caught up in myself a little bit,” he recalled.

“The moment when I saw mom was when I got real emotional, because, man, it was so awesome. She was on top of the world for a week,” he said.

At this point in the podcast, Jason began to break down and struggled to get out his words.

“Come on now!” he exclaimed as Travis wiped tears away from his own eyes.

“F**k!” sobbed Travis as he went on to pay tribute to Donna’s efforts across a grueling Super Bowl week filled with surprise media appearances and sporting drama.

“She was the heavyweight champ, man,” Travis added.

“She was on top of it and she shined the whole time. That was the coolest part. Mom, you absolutely killed it.”

Travis and Jason are already in Vegas ahead of Sunday’s showdown at Allegiant Stadium.

Swift is due to jet in from Tokyo, Japan, before the game after performing in the city on Saturday night.

Travis was forced to bat away rumors he was planning to propose to Swift during a frenzied Media Week.

Jason has already made himself at home in Nevada, hitting the blackjack tables and attending a U2 concert.

Super Bowl LVIII begins at 6.30 pm ET on Sunday, with live coverage on CBS.
