Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Maya Benberry gave a warning to the football player’s rumored new girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Benberry noted, “Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart!”

She shared advice based on “the man that I knew him to be when we dated,” before alleging that Kelce had been unfaithful in their relationship. “Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater,” said Benberry.

Benberry also expressed that she “can only hope that [Swift] comes out the teacher in this situation and not the student.”

The marketing expert was one of the 50 women—each picked from all 50 states—who competed on Kelce’s E! dating reality show, Chasing Kelce, in 2016. She was picked by the NFL player at the end, but they broke up after less than a year together.

In since-deleted tweets, Benberry accused Kelce of cheating on her with another contestant from the show, Kayla Nicole. According to the UK tabloid, she reportedly wrote, “When you and your ex broke up five months ago but you find out via social media that he’s supposedly been in another relationship for 6…”

At the time, Kelce responded, “This is fake news…a lie…and not why Kayla and I broke up…take all your hatred somewhere else please.” He went on to date Nicole on and off between 2017 and 2022, per The Daily Mail.

After rumors swirled of their romance, Swift and Kelce were spotted together for the first time at Arrowhead Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs player’s game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 24.
