The Next Face of NBA’ – Carmelo Anthony believes only Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards

With LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant nearing the end of their NBA careers, there is great speculation among fans and players about who will be the future face of the NBA. The league boasts a few young players who appear to be ready to take on the responsibility. During a recent episode of Carmelo Anthony’s podcast, ‘7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony and Kid Mero,’ the Hall of Famer discussed why he believes Minnesota Timberwolves youngster Anthony Edwards and Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum are the NBA’s future faces.

“Are you committed to doing what you got to do constantly to be the face of the league because they throwing that out there too loosely,” Carmelo Anthony was quoted as saying. “These talking heads are like, ‘Oh, he’s the face of the league now. Get the heck out of here. It’s two people who may have a shot to be the league’s face if they want it: Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics leading their respective conferences, Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards are undoubtedly two of the NBA’s most promising young players right now. Both players should be in contention for the league MVP title.

However, additional players may be included in the conversation. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Oklahoma City Thunder standout, comes to mind. Victor Wembanyama, a rookie phenom for the San Antonio Spurs, has the potential to accomplish the same feat.
