Michael Jordan was the greatest.
The G.O.A.T. debate has been very controversial. It depends on the viewer’s age, and whether they could watch players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. But the two justifiable arguments are for Jordan and LeBron. Both have many accomplishments, from multiple championships multi-time all-stars, and being great defensive players. But the obvious answer is Jordan. He is a 14-time all-star, 11- time all NBA, while also an amazing 10-scoring title – the highest of any player. Michael Jordan was also in 9 all-defense. With all those accomplishments, the only problem is he retired twice, first in October 1993, but ultimately returning in the 1993-94 season. Some might say LeBron has almost every statistic over him. Recently there was a poll done by the athletic asking active NBA players to find who is the best NBA player of all time: 58.3% went to MJ and 33% went to LeBron. 6.8% going to Kobe Bryant, and small percentages going to Bill Russell and Tracy McGrady. It is known throughout players who is the undisputed best player of all time. An argument LeBron fans say is Jordan has only played 1072 games compared to LeBrons 1421 and still going. His fans also say he came into the NBA with the most pressure and still overachieved. But still, he will never pass MJ. Believing he played less was because he isn’t as available as LeBron is wrong.
