The Los Angeles Lakers are still in a play-in spot, but James is carrying a heavy load.

The Lakers are in the midst of yet another tumultuous season. Thankfully the regular season is ending soon, but the team will once again have to claw their way into the playoffs and then go on a miracle run to reach the NBA Finals.
After dropping a game to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers lost by double digits to the Warriors on Tuesday night. James did everything he could, dropping a 33/7/11 stat line while shooting over 63% from the field.
Lakers fans believe LeBron needs more help
Many fans called for Los Angeles to “get Bron some help”, implying that he was upset with the performance of his teammates. Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves went over 20 points in the game, but there just isn’t enough talent on the Lakers roster.
Others began to wonder whether this is the end for James. LeBron has consistently said there isn’t much time left when asked about retirement, and it could be arriving sooner than many hope.
With his son Bronny James declaring for the NBA Draft, it’s looking increasingly likely that the 2024-25 season will be LeBron’s last in the NBA.
