Khloe Kardashian Gets Candid About Her Current Relationship With Baby Daddy Tristan Thompson: ‘He Did Make Mistakes’

Khloe Kardashian updated fans about where her relationship with the father of her children stands on the SHE MD podcast on Tuesday, years after his cheating scandals.

The 39-year-old reality star – who recently wished her ex a happy 33rd birthday via social media – revealed that she and Tristan Thompson are sticking to being co-parents.

She opened up about her and the NBA star’s time together admitting that he is ‘incredible father’ and avoided any ‘bashing.’

‘He did make mistakes,’ the Good American co-founder said, ‘He’s the nicest guy and we get along so well now.

‘We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids. And we do get along so well and I’m really grateful for that because my parents got along so well,’ she told hosts Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney.

The mother-of-two previously revealed that she has no intentions of getting back together with the Cavaliers star saying she’s ‘not attracted‘ to him.

During their six year relationship they shared 6-year-old True and 1-year-old Tatum.

Khloe and Tristan were first linked in the summer of 2016 when they were spotted at LA’s Bootsy Bellows nightclub.

In a 2017 interview, the Good American co-founder said they met via a blind date set up by their mutual friend, Brandon Jennings, and was reluctant at the time.

October of that same year, the pair went Instagram official in a romantic Halloween post where the two posed as Marvel’s Storm and the Black Panther.

April of 2018, the 33 year-old Canada native fathered daughter, True, with the reality star until their world came crashing down.

Just days before the birth, he was caught in an exclusive video locking lips with a sexy brunette at Manhattan club.

At the time, a source revealed that ‘Khloé carried his child and is much more in the limelight than he is, and she doesn’t think he understands the consequences of his decisions

‘She thinks the cheating scandal is a way bigger deal than he does, and he doesn’t fully understand the repercussions of his actions affecting not only him and Khloé but the entire family as a whole.’

In February 2019, TMZ reported that he cheated again kissing Jordyn Woods, a close family friend. Woods, then best friend of Kylie Jenner, confirmed it in a Red Table Talk.

The socialite gave him a second chance but Thompson went on to father a child with Maralee Nichols in December of 2021 – around the same time and Khloe were expecting their second child via surrogate.  Now, the ex-couple is on friendly terms.

Khloe was previously married to NBA star Lamar Odom from 2009 to 2016.

After one month of dating, they said ‘I do’ but could not make it last as they quietly separated in 2013 amid cheating rumors.

The reality star put a three year pause on signing the official divorce because of his near-fatal overdose in a Las Vegas brothel.
