Golf Paradise Unveiled: Explore Grove XXIII, Michael Jordan’s Exclusive Retreat
Michael Jordan’s recently-opened golf club has been the talk of the golfing world for a good deal of time now, with snapshots of the course and its facilities making their way onto social media despite its rather secretive nature. Opened by Jordan near his home in Florida and dubbed Grove XXIII, the course is meant to be a modern slice of luxury in a part of Florida already seen as bit of a golfer’s paradise.

The super-exclusive club consists of a private 18-hole golf course, main clubhouse, gatehouse, practice range and learning facility. And the main building of the clubhouse has now been revealed, courtesy of the club’s architects NBWW.

Per the architects, the 15,000 sq ft building houses men’s and women’s lockers, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a retail shop and kitchen/dining facilities.

“We wanted the precision and flow of the golf swing as well as Michael’s athleticism and corporate finesse to inspire the contemporary form and detailing of the Clubhouse architecture,” said Don Wolfe, principal at NBWW.

The course itself has been designed by renowned golf architect Bobby Weed, who has designed and renovated some of America’s best courses. The course occupies an old orange grove (hence the name), and rolls effortlessly through the grassy Florida marshland it occupies.

The course reportedly plays hard and plays fast, per Jordan’s own requirements, and can be configured to play in a bunch of ways. Natural canals, sand ridges and banks form the hazards, with the course reportedly taking a large dose of inspiration from Shinnecock Hills.
