Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was spotted getting off the team plane on Sunday as rumors persist that the NFL star will propose to Taylor Swift this festive season.

Kelce, 34, and the Chiefs play the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in their penultimate regular season road game. Kansas City is on a two-game skid after losing against the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills this month. Swift attended both games, the first time she had seen the team lose this season. The latter marked her return to Arrowhead Stadium, where she has watched three games this year since going public about her relationship with Kelce.

Now, their romance could be intensifying further with suggestions that the Chiefs player plans on proposing to the singer-songwriter months after they began dating this summer. The pair were only seen out together in September, but their relationship appears to have accelerated quickly.

Kelce seemingly recently sought the blessing of Swift’s father, Scott, before he takes the plunge and proposes to the pop superstar. The Kansas City star previously spent time in her dad’s company while watching The Eras Tour live from Argentina during the team’s bye week. Scott was seen in Buenos Aires wearing a Kansas City lanyard. And it seems Kelce has made a good impression on Swift Snr.

Page Six reports that he now has permission to propose, citing a source. “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it. Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.” The suggestions are that Kelce is even in the process of having the ring designed, with it by now in production or potentially ready to go.
