Actor Paul Rudd cherished his hug with Travis Kelce following the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, he has revealed.

The Hollywood star is a longtime Kansas City Chiefs super fan and attended the bug game in Las Vegas with his son Jack, 17, a fellow supporter of the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Following Chiefs’ thrilling 25-22 overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers – their third Super Bowl victory in five years – the A-Lister made his way down to the field where he shared a celebratory hug with Kelce.

‘Travis Kelce is the greatest guy, he really is,’ Rudd said to MTV News. ‘He’s been involved in a charity of ours in Kansas City for years and years … And then to get to hug Travis Kelce right after a Super Bowl win. It just makes no sense. It’s unreal.’

‘When they won, it was pure elation. It really is truly the greatest feeling,’ he added. ‘And I was there with my kid and he’s feeling the same way, and to share that with him…’

The Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire star also opened up on his nerves throughout the showdown at Allegiant Stadium, revealing he’s superstitious when it comes to football.

‘If I did help the win at all, it was because I didn’t mess with all of the things that I had set around because I’m superstitious,’ he admitted.

‘And I think the collective superstitions of all fans probably helped contribute to that win. But you know, I’m a big fan of that team and I have been my whole life.’

However, Kelce wasn’t the only star there that Rudd is a fan of with the tight end’s girlfriend Taylor Swift cheering on her NFL beau from the stands.

Rudd attended one of the pop superstar’s concerts in New York last year with his daughter Darby, 13, but he insisted he’s not just a fan by proxy.

‘No, I think she’s really very good, I think she’s great,’ he said, before naming his favorite of her songs.

‘I really like “Mastermind,” I sing a lot of that one. “Cruel Summer,” sure, like everybody else, right? “The Archer,” maybe? “August,” maybe? I’m just going through the A’s, really.’

Rudd, who grew up in Kansas City and went to college there, even once narrated the 2007 edition of the long-running sports documentary series Hard Knocks, featuring the Chiefs.
