The name, 1587 Prime, is a fusion inspired by their jersey numbers. Teammates on the football field, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have now teamed up off the field, venturing into the restaurant industry together.

Their latest endeavor was unveiled on Thursday as the Kansas City Chiefs’ star players disclosed plans to launch a steakhouse named 1587 Prime. This culinary venture promises to be the epitome of experiential dining and will be nestled within the confines of the Loews Kansas City Hotel. Collaborating with the athletes, global hospitality group Noble 33 is instrumental in bringing 1587 Prime to fruition, with a slated opening in early 2025.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Kelce remarked, “We’re thrilled to embark on this culinary journey with Noble 33, crafting a dining experience like no other, and what better locale to kick off than our beloved Kansas City.”

Spanning an impressive 10,000 square feet across two floors, the expansive modern steakhouse will feature various private dining spaces, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, and an awe-inspiring meat display. Furthermore, subtle nods to Mahomes’ and Kelce’s football achievements will be interwoven throughout the ambiance, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Reflecting on the partnership, Mahomes shared, “Travis and I have frequented Noble 33 establishments in other cities, so bringing something exceptional to our own community in Kansas City felt like a natural progression.”

Kelce’s recent visit to Mēdüzā Mediterrania in New York City and both athletes’ patronage of Toca Madera in Las Vegas have provided insights into their culinary explorations. Following their Super Bowl triumph in February, the duo has been relishing the offseason alongside their loved ones.
