With a combined net worth of $100 million between them, and Mahomes being on a $450m contract, the pair are not exactly strapped for cash. This has allowed them to give something back the city that has supported them through their NFL careers, and Mahomes confirmed this to media.

“I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15,” Mahomes said to Fox 4 Kansas City on March 22. “All honesty though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced, that not everybody can go.”

Mahomes will link up with Noble 33 to launch the business, which also is associated with New York’s Meduza Mediterrania and Las Vegas’ Toca Madera – both high-quality restaurants with a reputation to match.

Mahomes-Kelce’s joint will open at the Loews Hotel on Wyandotte Street, Kansas City (MI), and will have two floors and around 10000 square feet of space

Currently, there is no official, estimated or projected opening time other than somewhere around next year’s NFL play-offs, which will take place between January and February 2024.

“Me and Travis have been working on that for a while,” Mahomes added. “We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together.

“We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.”

Kelce has been focusing on his post-NFL life of late as he pursues business goals such as Prime 1857 and television/film production as the 34-year-old bids to wind down his career as it enters its twilight phase.
