Travis Kelce may not feel pressure on the football field considering he’s coming off back-to-back Super Bowl titles. Away from the gridiron, however, might be a different story.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Matty Healy, one of Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends and the lead vocalist for the 1975, proposed to his girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel.
“I have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged … They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York and I woke up this morning to the fact they’ve put it on Instagram. Instagram official … he’s got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel — Gabbriette she’s known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her,” Healy’s mother said on Loose Women, via People. “I couldn’t be more thrilled. We couldn’t be happier — she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law. I’m thrilled.
Once this news was made public, people started questioning when Kelce will propose to Swift. OutKick even said the All-Pro tight end is now on the “hot seat” because of Healy’s actions.
“Hot Seat: Travis Kelce after Taylor Swift’s ex boyfriend Matty Healy just got engaged,” OutKick wrote. “The pressure’s on!”
Some fans of the 14-time Grammy winner also mentioned that Kelce may have to act swiftly.
For what it’s worth, it was previously reported by Us Weekly that Kelce has “no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon.”
Even though Kelce isn’t ready for the next step, it’s been reported by multiple outlets that he’s on great terms with Swift. If they continue on this path, they very well could take their relationship to the next level.
