Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce spent some quality time with his family while practicing for the NFL Pro Bowl Games on Saturday.

Kelce is in Orlando for this year’s Pro Bowl games as a member of the NFC team, trying his luck in the ‘snap shots’ challenge on Thursday’s opening night.

As he gears up for Sunday’s decider, a video posted by the Eagles on social media showed the 36-year-old and his daughters Wyatt and Elliotte playing on one of the obstacle courses set up on the field inside the Camping World Stadium host venue.

 

His wife Kylie was also present on the field, with pictures showing the couple posing with all three of their daughters, including youngest child Bennett.

Another video shows Jason holding one of his daughter’s hands as he swings her through the air, which is captioned: ‘The Kelces are having too much fun.’

The Kelces also seemed to have fun on Friday after they were spotted spending the day at Disney World.

‘I don’t even know what you do in the Pro Bowl anymore. But it’s down in Orlando so I get to take my kids to Walt Disney World,’ Jason told reporter Zach Berman.

Kelce has been busy during his time in Orlando after he also took part in the NFL Pro Bowl Games skill showdown, where he hilariously competed in the ‘snap shots’ challenge. 

In the snap shots challenge, Kelce attempted to long snap a ball through several targets of varying size for 1-5 points depending on the target he hit.

He spent the entirety of his turn attempting to hit the five-point target, but hilariously struggled to do so before eventually finding some luck with the only success of his entire run.

‘If you’re not first you’re last, right? So you gotta go big or go home,’ Kelce said after the event.

‘I don’t know man, the five was just speaking to me. Unfortunately, I didn’t answer too much when it called.’

The NFC took a 12-6 lead over the AFC after Thursday’s opening day at the Pro Bowl Games after some lively dodgeball encounters and tests of precision.

The two teams will resume their battle on Sunday, with three flag football games and additional skills competitions in store.

Although his determination to hit the five-point target was never in question during the event, one thing that has come under question is Kelce’s future in the NFL.

Following the Eagles’ elimination from the playoffs, reports indicated the NFL legend told his teammates he was planning to hang up his cleats, however he and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, have refuted those claims.

Jason is yet to clarify what decision he will make as he weighs up whether to continue his lengthy stint as an NFL player for at least another season.

The Chiefs appear to have overcome their regular-season offensive struggles, and even won two playoff games on the road as underdogs against the Buffalo Bills and No. 1-seeded Baltimore Ravens. As for the 49ers, the No. 1 seed in the NFC scraped by the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions to make it back to the Big Game. 

This is a rematch of Super Bowl LIV four years ago, where Patrick Mahomes defeated Jimmy Garoppolo for his first Super Bowl victory. Brock Purdy is under center for the 49ers these days, and as a former “Mr. Irrelevant,” he will become the lowest-drafted quarterback to ever start a Super Bowl. What does this matchup hold in store for us? Will it feature plenty of points, or more defense? Who will win Super Bowl MVP? Let’s break down five early predictions for our final game of the 2023 NFL season.

Nick Bosa records 2.0 sacks

Last week, Mahomes became the first quarterback to not be sacked and not turn the ball over in three straight playoff games dating to last year’s Super Bowl, but he was taken down two times against the Ravens. Getting pressure on the quarterback will be a point of emphasis for Steve Wilks’ unit.

The 49ers defense has struggled this postseason, allowing an average of 386 total yards per game, which ranks No. 6 among the eight teams that played at least two playoff games this year. Bosa is going to take it upon himself to be a game-changer. In 11 playoff games, Bosa has recorded 10 sacks. He got to Mahomes once during their last Super Bowl meeting. This time, he gets to the quarterback twice.

Game comes down to a pivotal fourth-quarter drive

In the last Super Bowl matchup between these two teams, the Chiefs were down 10 points entering the fourth quarter. However, Mahomes’ offense scored 21 unanswered points to win by 11. We won’t see that much scoring in the final stanza this time around, but the ball will be in Purdy’s hands with a chance to win the game late.

Down 24-20 with two minutes remaining in the game, the 49ers offense takes the field following a Tommy Townsend touchback. Purdy begins picking up chunk plays through the air, first on a Christian McCaffrey screen that picks up 12 yards, followed by a 10-yard pickup from George Kittle and then a 20-yard catch and run from Brandon Aiyuk. It looks like San Francisco is going to pull this off. After all, Purdy had zero game-winning drives in the regular season, and two game-winning drives in two playoff games. However, it’s not meant to be for 49ers fans, as Purdy and Deebo Samuel aren’t on the same page on a timing route, leading to a Nick Bolton interception.

 

Chiefs win while the Under hits

The 49ers opened up as slight favorites over the Chiefs, but the line immediately started moving in Kansas City’s direction. People realize getting Mahomes at plus money is an auto-bet, just like it was in last year’s Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see how the line moves over the next two weeks, but underdogs are 3-0 against the spread in the last three Super Bowls. Favorites are 29-26-2 all time.

Mahomes is 10-1-1 ATS in his career as an underdog, and 9-3 straight up. He’s also 3-0 SU as an underdog in his playoff career, with two of those wins coming over the last two weeks.

The Chiefs have led for 2:05:36 this postseason. That’s the fourth-most by a team entering the Super Bowl since 2000. As for the 49ers, they have led for 27:30. That’s the least amount of time led by a team entering the Super Bowl since 2000. The Chiefs also have the best defense of the Andy Reid era with 17.3 points per game allowed in the regular season, and 13.7 points per game allowed in three postseason contests. The Chiefs aren’t going to waste the best defense Mahomes has ever had, and will cement this team as a dynasty.

That’s also why I have this game going Under. The Under is 14-6 in Chiefs games this year, and 9-9-1 in 49ers games. The Chiefs didn’t need an offensive explosion to defeat the Ravens, while the 49ers needed to create a second-half offensive explosion just to have a chance vs. Detroit.

Mahomes wins Super Bowl MVP

A whopping 12 out of the last 17 Super Bowl MVPs have been the quarterbacks of the winning team. In fact, when Kansas City defeated San Francisco back in 2020, I thought it should have been Damien Williams that won Super Bowl MVP, not Mahomes. Mahomes turned the ball over twice while Williams averaged 6.1 yards per carry on 17 rushes, and scored once on the ground and once through the air. But, MVP is a quarterback award, whether that be in the regular season or Super Bowl.

I predict Mahomes will become the first player to win three Super Bowl MVPs in a five-year span. Another Super Bowl MVP would make him the third player in NFL history to win three Super Bowl MVPs, along with Joe Montana (3) and Tom Brady (5).

Travis Kelce retirement speculation heats up

Kelce is already a Pro Football Hall of Famer, and an NFL postseason legend as well. He currently ranks second in playoff receiving yards (1,810), first in playoff receptions (156) and second in playoff receiving touchdowns (19).

After his third Super Bowl win in which he scores a touchdown, with Taylor Swift by his side as confetti falls from the sky, Kelce makes an eyebrow-raising comment concerning his future, saying he’s going to take some time to ponder what’s next. That ramps up retirement speculation, and Kelce ultimately does step away this offseason, just like his brother.

Dυring a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the Soυth Aмerican leg of Taylor’s Eras Toυr. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, at the Nov. 11 show in Bυenos Aires, bυt he also got a special shoυtoυt froм the stage.

After the show, the <eм>Midnights </eм>artist was seen rυnning υp to Travis backstage and greeting hiм with a passionate kiss.

Taylor joined Travis on the football field when the Chiefs won the AFC Chaмpionship, a victory that ceмented the teaм’s spot in the 2024 Sυper Bowl. The coυple shared a celebratory kiss before exchanging the L-word.

“Tay, I’м gonna enjoy with the gυys,” he told her. “I love yoυ—so мυch it’s not fυnny.”

Philadelphia Eagle star Jason Kelce doesn’t see anything wrong in the NFL focusing too much on Taylor Swift during the broadcasts of Kansas City Chiefs games.

Ever since Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce, began dating Swift, the NFL has really capitalized on her appearances during games. While many purists hated it, there’s no denying that it brought a lot more attention to the league and garnered new fans in the process.

For Kelce, that’s a big positive for the NFL and something that shouldn’t be criticized.

After the Chiefs secured a ticket to Super Bowl 58, plenty of fans pointed out how they would see another game with Swift being a focus. Of course, the negativity only increased from there.

Some even went as far as to saying that the NFL rigged the AFC Championship to make sure the Chiefs make it so Swift will be there. Considering the attention that Chiefs games are getting because of the pop star, a lot of people actually shared the same conspiracy theory.

Jason, however, doesn’t understand the criticisms. After all, it’s only normal for sports leagues to highlight celebrities attending games. And Swift’s situation is no different.

The Eagles center  also pointed out that it’s only right for the NFL to give Swift some attention because she is a great role model. Why would the league not show her with such figure supporting her significant other?

“The attention is there because the audience wants to see it, I know that. If people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. She is the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer-songwriter. She is an unbelievable role model for young women across the globe,” Jason Kelce said, via Caleb Noe of WCPO.

“The NFL probably would be foolish not to show her.”

 

What Jason said certainly makes sense. And besides, there’s really nothing wrong with what the NFL is doing.

For what it’s worth, it’s not only Jason Kelce who has come to the defense of Travis Kelce’s girlfriend. Recently, former NFL star JJ Watt also noted that he doesn’t understand the hate directed towards Swift.

First and foremost, she’s only there to support her partner. Secondly, it’s not her fault at all that the NFL is showing her on broadcasts.

“I think it’s great. I can’t understand why people are so upset about it. I mean, they show celebrities at games all the time. Don’t act like we don’t show male celebrities at games all the time. I don’t really understand why it’s caused such an uproar,” Watt said.

“I mean, she’s literally there supporting her significant other, and that’s what you should do as a significant other. I think it should be nothing but celebrated,” Watt says. “I think that it’s not her fault they put the camera on her, just it is what it is.”

Regardless of what people say, Swift can rest easy knowing for a fact that she has several people supporting her from behind.

After the lifting of the January 15 restrictions, most NBA players around the league are completely eligible to be traded from now until February 8. The Lakers, Warriors, and Bulls are all expected to play some role in deadline-day madness.

The Lakers and Warriors are expected to buy for their win-now projects while the Bulls are expected to teardown for a rebuild. Bill Simmons has a suggestion where all three teams get what they want, with Draymond heading to the Lakers being the centerpiece.

Trade Details

Bulls Receive: Rui Hachimura, 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL)

Warriors Receive: Nikola Vucevic

Lakers Receive: Draymond Green

“They gotta end the Draymond era. Send him to the Lakers, he’ll be super happy… LeBron keeps him in check, it makes too much sense.”

To make the deal feasible, the Lakers would need to include one other player. The most out-of-place with another addition in the frontcourt would be Jaxson Hayes, especially with Christian Wood recently finding his way into the lineup.

The Bulls get off Nikola Vucevic in this deal and receive the assets of Rui Hachimura and a first-round pick from the Lakers, while the Warriors land Vucevic. It essentially allows the Bulls and Warriors to swap frontcourt players while the Lakers pay the price with a talented 24-year-old forward and a draft pick that will convey after this current iteration of the Lakers is long forgotten.

Would This Trade Make Sense?

Despite Simmons’ belief that this deal makes sense, this likely won’t materialize because it goes against what the Lakers need. This is a franchise that could lose LeBron James as soon as this summer and needs to keep the pieces on the roster young just in case they need to reshape a winning core around their players. Draymond has a long-term salary and is past his prime, making this a tough deal to swallow. He’s averaging 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists this season.

The Lakers need a guard so offloading with either Hachimura or an extremely valuable draft pick for anything less than an All-Star guard would be an unnecessary lateral move for the Lakers. The team needs to add scoring, not a player like Green who would make their defense meaner but wouldn’t add a scoring spark.

The Warriors walk out as winners in this deal by upgrading personnel at the moment, though the reality of trading Draymond away is much darker. Green is a one-franchise man and has given his all to the Warriors, so even if he’s getting sent to play with LeBron, being moved away from Golden State will suck. The Warriors will accept it as they get a player averaging 16.8 points and 10.4 rebounds like Vucevic to be their starting center.

The Bulls have a few young frontcourt prospects on the team already, with Patrick Williams and Dalen Terry being high-potential forwards. Hachimura would slide into that mix, likely playing alongside Williams while Terry continues to develop. He’s averaging 11.8 points and 3.6 rebounds, so getting him and that pick would be a major steal for Chicago.

Unfortunately, I don’t see the Lakers trading away a pick as valuable as their 2029 selection for just Draymond Green and not adding depth around that, especially if they also have to give up another player.
