UST IN! NBA team to sign with Bronny James Before the NBA Draft. They want his father as well

The Lakers want to continue with LeBron James for one more season, but to do so, they must draft his son in the NBA Draft.

The Los Angeles Lakers know that one of the reasons to keep LeBron James in the franchise for the 2024-2025 season will be to draft his son, Bronny James, in the upcoming NBA Draft.

According to reports by Shams Charania and Doug Haller from The Athletic, the Lakers met with Bronny James and are expected to have a private workout with the former USC player.

The Lakers have the 17th and 55th picks in the first round. However, it is unclear if they will use those picks on a player who did not stand out in college, even though doing so might influence the veteran forward to exercise his one-year contract option.

HOW GOOD IS BRONNY JAMES

Bronny’s stats at USC are not impressive. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. It’s important to note that he missed significant time early in the year due to a cardiac arrest he suffered in the summer.

However, the shooting guard has looked better in pre-draft workouts, showing a good mid-range and long-distance shot and being in good physical shape for the demands of the NBA.

This week, Bronny spoke about the pressure of being the son of one of the greatest players in history. “It’s tough,” Bronny admitted on SiriusXM NBA. “I get a lot of criticism. But, you know, I have to deal with it. We all know what I’ve been through. I’m just trying to make the most of the opportunities I’m given.”
