Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes recently took on the Connecticut Huskies in the semi-final, and amidst all the action on the court, there was Kylie, in the stands, unwavering in her support for women’s sports. A brief clip of her soon surfaced online, her face brimming with a smile. She was sporting an all-black ensemble and tortoiseshell glasses.

 

 

 

As soon as this post went up on the NCAA March Madness’ X page with a caption that read, “Everyone watches women’s sports,” fans flocked to the comments to shower Kylie with love and praise. After three days and 257 picks, the 2024 NFL Draft came to an end. Most of the top choices had been taken off the table in the first round. However, the Philadelphia Eagles managed to snag a few shining stars. On day 1 of the draft, the Jeffrey Lurie team chose cornerback, Quinton Mitchell from Toledo. The team also added another cornerback, Cooper DeJean, to their lineup.

 

On day 2 of the draft, the Eagles also landed up with the talented EDGE, Jalyx Hunt. So far, everything has been going great for the team. However, day three ended up being the biggest of them all. On day 3, they drafted RB Will Shipley, wide receivers Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson, linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr, Michigan’s Trevor Keegan, and center Dylan McMahon.

All the picks called for a moment of celebration. However, Lurie and Howie Roseman seemed to want DeJean on their team more than anyone else. In fact, they even admitted to being obsessed with having the 21-year-old join the Eagles.

Her reaction is exactly what Kelce hoped woυld coмe of the clinic, which was held for girls of all ages — froм kindergarten throυgh high school.

“I jυst love to see the enthυsiasм that was here today becaυse it shows there is a мarket for the sport here in Kansas City, and I aм excited to be here and experience it with all of these kids,” Kelce said. “I love nothing мore than doing exactly this.”

Jason and Travis Kelce are setting the record straight about the spelling of their last name.

On the latest episode of the brothers’ podcast New Heights, Travis revealed to his brother that the Philadelphia Eagles actually misspelled “Kelce” when the team announced on Twitter that they had drafted Jason as the 191st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

“Completely botched your name and now you’re the greatest player to ever play in the Eagles uniform,” Travis told Jason, who said he hadn’t realized the mistake at the time.

Travis then continued with the compliment, and added: “They know how to spell your name at least now, it’s probably gonna be on the stadium at some point.”

Yet Jason, who is widely lauded as one of the greatest centers in NFL history and is viewed as a lock for the NFL Hall of Fame, had a more restrained view of his own accomplishments in the league.

About a career which spanned 13 seasons and led to seven Pro Bowl selections, six first-team All-Pro selections and one Super Bowl title, Jason echoed the sentiments he shared in his retirement speech about being “overrated.”

“I firmly like that most of my career had to be earned,” he said on the podcast. “It is crazy how overrated I am. I’m not even close to the best Eagle in my time with the Philadelphia Eagles”

Jason continued, “Like Fletcher Cox, Jason Peters, Lane Johnson. There are so many people who have meant more to wins and losses and have been better players.”

“Maybe in the stat book,” Travis interjected.

“Not just the stat book,” Jason returned, “Like, I couldn’t block Fletcher Cox one-on-one. Like, it’s a legitimate thing. The credit that I’ve gotten has been because of the work that’s been put in.”

Jason’s comments continued a theme from his retirement speech.

“So this all brings us here to today, where I announce that I am retiring,” Kelce said, through tears, nearly 40 minutes into his speech on Monday. “Where I announce I am retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and today, I must admit, I am officially overrated, vastly overrated.”

On this week’s podcast, with time to reflect on the accolades and good will shown from family, fans and the Eagles about his retirement, Jason allowed one moment to show he was proud of his own accomplishments.

BROTHERHOOD! There was a time in NFL Draft history when Travis and a teary-eyed Jason Kelce could have played together on the Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce could spend his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Travis’ older brother, Jason, recently retired from the NFL as a fan favorite after spending all 13 of his pro seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Travis and Jason Kelce played in a Super Bowl together but could have shared the same uniform

With the NFL Draft returning, college players will soon bounce across the country as they join their new pro teams.

But the draft is annually filled with what-if moments, as critical decisions — often made at the last second — affect players, coaches and teams for decades to come.

In 2017, Patrick Mahomes could have been drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 9.

Instead, Cincy took wide receiver John Ross — who soon became a first-round bust — while Mahomes went to the Chiefs one pick later and now has three Super Bowl trophies.

Back in 2011, Jason was a young offensive lineman fresh out of the University of Cincinnati.

And a major what-if moment occurred in NFL history.

Two teams showed the most pre-draft interest in Jason

“I knew I was a day three guy,” he recently told NFL Network.

There almost was a world where the inseparable Kelce brothers were even closer
After six long rounds and 190 picks, Jason had bowled enough with his family and was still waiting to be picked before the seventh round was over.

“Round four passes. Round five passes,” Jason said. “At this point, we’re done bowling.”

He finally had his name called by Philly at No. 191 overall, and never left the Eagles franchise until he retired at 36 years old.

“My father’s got tears rolling down his face,” said Jason, recalling the emotional moment of being drafted on the final day.

But another team also kept an eye on Travis’ big brother as the rounds mounted and the last pick approached.

“I had two teams really interested,” Jason said. “Kansas City and the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The Chiefs held the No. 199 pick in 2011.

If the Eagles had passed on Jason at 190, Kansas City could have taken him — and eventually reunited the Kelce brothers in the NFL two years later, when Travis became the No. 63 pick for the Chiefs.

The first round of the 2024 draft is Thursday in Detroit.

This year’s class is loaded with top-tier quarterback talent, including Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy and Jayden Daniels.

Caleb Williams is expected to the No. 1 pick by the Chicago Bears and has been compared to Patrick Mahomes.

As for the NFL star’s reaction his appearances in her new songs? “Travis is so supportive of the entire album,” a source recently told E! News, “and loves that he is a part of Taylor’s story.”

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as “metal as hell”—Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,” he shared on The Pat McAfee Show. “I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor.

As he later noted of the era, “That ‘stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time.”

September 2023: Sparks Fly

By early September, a source close to the situation told E! News that Travis and Taylor were “texting and talking here and there.”

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

September 2023: Cheer Captain

Accepting Travis’ invite, Taylor joined the athlete’s mom Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were seen packing PDA at a local bar.

Though folklore had it that it was the couple’s first in-person meeting, the “Karma” singer later clarified the two had spent a “significant amount of time” getting to know each other beforehand.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

October 2023: Team Up

As an indication that the relationship was heating up, Taylor brought her squad—including friends Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter and Antoni Porowski—to watch the Chiefs play against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Another sign that Travis could be The 1? Taylor started bonding with Brittany Mahomes—the wife of Travis’ BFF and teammate Patrick Mahomes—in and outside of NFL games.

The couple took their romance to TV, making a surprise appearance on the Oct. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live. Their Big Apple takeover also included the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a date night at the Waverly Inn.

November 2023: Karma Is Her Boyfriend

During a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, at the Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, but he also got a special shoutout from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

After the show, the Midnights artist was seen running up to Travis backstage and greeting him with a passionate kiss.

December 2024: Speak Now

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

“I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told Time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone.”

Continuing to bond with Travis’ family, Taylor hung out with his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce at the Chiefs’ game against the Buffalo Bills.

Taylor joined Travis on the football field when the Chiefs won the AFC Championship, a victory that cemented the team’s spot in the 2024 Super Bowl. The couple shared a celebratory kiss before exchanging the L-word.

“Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys,” he told her. “I love you—so much it’s not funny.”
