However, it was Taylor Swift’s genuine reaction that truly stole the show.

With a beaming smile and enthusiastic applause, Swift made it clear that she was completely proud of Kelce’s remarkable feat.

The atmosphere was electric as Swift’s admiration for Kelce’s catch resonated throughout the venue.

Fans and fellow attendees couldn’t help but join in the excitement, further amplifying the joyous moment.

In addition to raising funds for a worthy cause, this charity event provided a platform for unexpected moments of camaraderie and admiration among celebrities and athletes.

Taylor Swift’s genuine reaction serves as a reminder of the power of sports to unite people from all walks of life in celebration of extraordinary achievements.

Meanwhile, Kelce is enjoying his offseason, and the Chiefs just completed a draft that met with Patrick Mahomes’ approval.

The quarterback and the tight end exhibited their chemistry once again in Vegas — where they won Super Bowl LVIII in February — with Kelce snagging a Mahomes pass one-handed in a crowded ballroom to applause from the audience.

It hits different to have a tight end with a big reputation.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have a different type of alchemy that not a lot of duos in league history have been able to replicate. Whenever the opportunity for these two to continually wear red for the Kansas City Chiefs arises, Coach Andy Reid and the front office better grab it since both of them are still at the peak of their powers. Now, he may not be down bad for any cash but he will be entering the season in style as the highest-paid tight end with a love story that involves Taylor Swift. You heard that right! Travis Kelce is now solidified in league history as the highest-paid tight end with his two-year extension worth $34.25 million. He along with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid know the Chiefs system all too well. They might even start to build a dynasty this coming season. So, the best move was to get him to stay and fulfill his wildest dreams of becoming the man when it comes to his position. He even unveiled his excitement after inking his new deal.

“Back at it again, baby! See that Super Bowl right there, man? It feels good to be in KC. I remember coming here 12 years ago. It’s an honor and a pleasure. I can’t wait to get after it these next two years. No better than right now. I’m getting fired up for this year. I just got off of the field with the boys. We’re back at it, baby. Chiefs forever!” Travis Kelce exclaimed.

There has not been a stable pass catcher for Patrick Mahomes in the past decade. Thankfully, the Chiefs have continually pushed for the tight end’s renewal. These two have been the foundation for what could be one of the best American dynasties to ever hit the NFL. With a mastermind behind it all in Andy Reid and this love that Kelce has for the game, it’s difficult to see how this Chiefs squad won’t win the Super Bowl in the next two years.

    The Chiefs’ legendary weapon

There have been signs that Kelce is slowing down. For example, he has failed to record a 1,000-receiving-yard season for the first time since 2015. However, the Chiefs tight end was just 16 yards short of it. His lethality and targets on the end zone from Mahomes have also taken a hit. From leading the Chiefs to 12 touchdowns last year, he only managed to notch five of them this season.

Moreover, it was also the first time in Kelce’s career that he did not log a season where his average gain per catch was above 12 yards. Last year, the Chiefs’ weapon only managed to notch 10.6 on every successful pass to him. However, these numbers are likely to go up given that Hollywood Brown is still getting acclimated and the rest of their receiving corps is young.

For now, he can enjoy his offseason feeling enchanted with Taylor Swift as they ride their getaway car under the starlight. There’s a lot of work for him to do and the worst thing he can have is a cruel summer that’ll throw him off his groove.

  • Xavier Worthy’s Chiefs intro exposes Kansas City owner Clark Hunt for being so cheap

Xavier Worthy’s Chiefs intro exposes Kansas City owner Clark Hunt for being so cheap

Once again, we are reminded that Clark Hunt does not care about this team’s facilities at all.

To say former Texas Longhorns star Xavier Worthy massively downgraded in locker rooms after getting drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round would be putting it lightly.

Kansas City traded up from No. 32 to take the Texas wideout No. 28 overall in this past weekend’s NFL Draft. Worthy may be worthy of that draft selection, but nobody deserves to get dressed in that dump.

Over the weekend, the Chiefs shared a brief 30-second video on social media welcoming Worthy to Kansas City.

Xavier Worthy, Texas Longhorns, Kansas City Chiefs

It showed a few seconds of what the Chiefs’ locker room actually looks like. If this was not Worthy’s welcome to the NFL moment, I am sure that is coming later on down the line. He and his Longhorns teammates were pampered at Texas. In Kansas City, you are so lucky to have a footstool.

This is yet another painful reminder of why the Chiefs gave owner Clark Hunt an F in the semi-anonymous NFLPA survey from earlier in the offseason. Hunt notoriously dangles upgrades to the Chiefs’ facilities at Arrowhead Stadium. With the World Cup coming in a few summers, either Hunt needs to write some checks, or expect for the Chiefs to relocate in the coming years or decades.

Congratulations on getting drafted by the Chiefs, but be prepared to play for a complete cheapskate.

Worthy probably spends more money on gas annually than Hunt does on upgrading the locker room.

Xavier Worthy’s Chiefs intro video shows us all how cheap Clark Hunt is

Maybe the money is going somewhere else? Hunt is the son of an oil magnate and league creator in Lamar Hunt. The money may be tied up in other less liquid activities. Whether it is propping up the MLS, the oil industry, SMU football or helping fellow Mustang booster Jim Irsay try to relocate another whale, none of it appears to be going to the Chiefs. This is so beyond shameful for the NFL.

Hunt has somehow found a way to make Mike Brown, Daniel Snyder and Dean Spanos look like most gracious benefactors this side of MacKenzie Scott. I had a dream one time where Hunt was dressed up in his best Lloyd Christmas Aspen outfit, handing out crisp $100 bills to everybody who opened a door for him. He got an additional plate in case he wanted seconds at an owl auction. Then, I woke up.

Hunt appears to have no problem playing his players, but when bad times return to Kansas City, they will be up Schitt’s Creek without a paddle. Nobody is going to want to take a hometown discount to get dressed for work inside the locker room equivalent of a Dollar Tree. Like the Chiefs locker room, there is good stuff in there, but you kind of feel embarrassed to bring loved ones in there to see you.

One day, one of those beefy linemen are going to shatter a footstool, and the NFLPA will be ready.

  • Travis Kelce lets Chiefs fans know exactly when to find his replacement with latest contract

Travis Kelce lets Chiefs fans know exactly when to find his replacement with latest contract

Travis Kelce isn’t going anywhere with the Kansas City Chiefs, at least not yet. There were retirement rumors surrounding the all-world tight end and Taylor Swift’s love interest going into the Super Bowl, which he shut down.

Now he’s done that again, at least for the next few years.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that the Chiefs have

agreed to a new two-year contract extension with Kelce that will make him deservedly the highest-paid tight end in the league.

Super Bowl LVIII - San Francisco 49ers v Kansas City Chiefs

Update: Per NFL insider Albert Breer of SI, there was a miscommunication and this is actually a raise, not an extension, and his contract will run out in 2025 instead of 2027, which is a crucial component when considering his potential retirement date.

Travis Kelce extension with Chiefs forecasts likely retirement date

Kelce will turn 35 years old in October of this season, meaning that this deal with the new money included with the Chiefs runs until he’s 36 years old, which is a reasonable age to assume he’s retiring. As such, this might be the best indication yet of when Kelce actually plans to hang it up in Kansas City.

This isn’t to say that there’s no chance that Kelce would retire before the end of this new contract extension. That’s far from uncommon for NFL players — when players know it’s time or are ready to retire, they normally don’t wait around longer than that. Having said that, amid the questions coming into the finale of the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl runs, this gives fans a clearer timetable about what’s next with their star tight end.

It also brings into question the possibility of a replacement for Kelce. Some speculated that 2024 fourth-round pick Jared Wiley could potentially be that player for the Chiefs, an ultra-athletic player full of untapped potential. Even with him coming into the building this year, it’s not unreasonable to think that serving as Kelce’s understudy for the next couple of seasons could be a

No matter when it happens, though, two things are true for the Chiefs. Kelce is going to leave a massive void in this offense in 2027 — should he play out this full contract extension — that will need to be filled. Secondly, it shouldn’t be surprising to see Kansas City start to more directly address its succession plan with Kelce, whether that involves Wiley or not.

  • 6 Chiefs on Thin Ice Following the NFL Draft

6 Chiefs on Thin Ice Following the NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft has come and gone, with the Chiefs coming away big winners with a slew of exciting draft picks and smart moves.

They’ve been busy signing undrafted free agents as well, so it appears Kansas City’s roster will once again be loaded as the organization tries to win a historic third straight Super Bowl.

Some players, like Texas WR Xavier Worthy, figure to make immediate impacts, though some later-round selections could find significant playing time too.

That means some Chiefs might be on their way off the roster, especially if this draft class is as promising at it appears to be. With that in mind, let’s look at several players on thin ice following the draft.

6 Chiefs on Thin Ice After the NFL Draft

    1. Lucas Niang – OT

Lucas Niang already faced an uphill battle toward making a big contribution, and the Chiefs’ actions in the draft prove they don’t envision much of a future for Niang with the club. Kansas City drafted three offensive linemen, including BYU OT Kingsley Suamataia, who all displayed versatility in college that will endear them to the coaching staff.

While Niang has suited up frequently for the Chiefs over the last three years, he hasn’t seen significant snaps since 2021. This is the final year of his rookie contract, so this is likely his final chance to prove he belongs on the roster moving forward.

The 2020 third-round pick has plenty of experience with this coaching staff, and he might even be the true backup right tackle to Jawaan Taylor at this point. Even if that’s the case though, Suamataia and Wanya Morris are younger, more promising players.

Fifth-round selection Hunter Nourzad has some experience at tackle too. The Chiefs emphasized reworking the offensive line depth in this draft, likely an indication they intend to move on from Niang after this season.

The Chiefs are telling us with their words that they still believe in Kadarius Toney, yet their actions represent something else entirely. Xavier Worthy is not only a dynamic talent at wide receiver, but it sounds like Dave Toub may want to use the Texas speedster in the return game too.

Toney’s most significant contributions as a Chief have come in special teams, notably setting a Super Bowl record with a 65-yard punt return to help Kansas City beat Philadelphia. If he falls behind Worthy in the return depth chart, it’s hard to see where Toney’s opportunities will come from.

Perhaps Toney gets a long look at receiver during Rashee Rice’s likely suspension, though he’s on a notably short leash either way.

Toney’s time with in Kansas City, thus far, has been shrowded in “what-if” situations outside of the magical punt return. If he’s not able to carve out a role in a suddenly-crowded receiver room, it’s hard to imagine Brett Veach signing the former first-round pick to an extension this offseason.

At best, Toney projects to be the fifth or sixth receiver entering camp. Few players possess his level of talent, but he’s got a long way to go in properly utilizing it.

    2. Kadarius Toney – WR

The Chiefs are telling us with their words that they still believe in Kadarius Toney, yet their actions represent something else entirely. Xavier Worthy is not only a dynamic talent at wide receiver, but it sounds like Dave Toub may want to use the Texas speedster in the return game too.

    3. Noah Gray – TE

Noah Gray has become a reliable weapon for Patrick Mahomes as Travis Kelce’s primary backup over the last few years, but he’s entering the last year of his contract and Kansas City just drafted promising receiving tight end Jared Wiley to serve as Kelce’s understudy.

A 2021 fifth-round pick, Gray had a career-high 305 receiving yards last year with a pair of TDs and caught eight passes throughout the playoff run. He’s a solid No. 2 option at the position with a keen understanding of Andy Reid’s offensive scheme, though the writing is on the wall regarding his future unless Wiley quickly proves to be a bust.

While Blake Bell is still a free agent and unlikely to return, the Chiefs signed pass-catching threat Irv Smith Jr. in the offseason. Between Smith Jr. and Wiley, Gray has ample competition moving forward.

Gray is still Kelce’s backup for the time being. I don’t expect Wiley to overtake Gray immediately, but he could prove to be a more versatile and dangerous weapon once the playoffs roll around.

If Wiley didn’t show so much promise as a long-term Kelce replacement, I’d be more confident that Gray gets an extension after this year. Perhaps he still does, though he’s on thin ice nonetheless given the Chiefs’ moves over the last couple of months.

    4. Skyy Moore – WR

Skyy Moore is in a similar boat to Kadarius Toney. He missed the end of last season with an injury and was disappointing when on the field, paving the way for other wide receivers to potentially take his job.

Through two seasons, the former second-round pick has only 494 receiving yards and one TD. Those aren’t encouraging numbers given the draft capital the Chiefs used to require him. Barring a dramatic turnaround in training camp, Moore will enter the season as the fourth or fifth receiver on the depth chart with an uphill climb to true contribution.

We’ve seen examples in the past of receivers needing a few years to catch up to NFL game speed, and maybe Moore will be another guy who just takes longer to develop. He played against mediocre competition at Western Michigan in college, so it makes sense that his stellar separating ability didn’t immediately translate.

However, the Chiefs are trying to three-peat and make NFL history. They don’t have the luxury of patience to let Moore keep working through his mistakes and he’s obviously failed to earn Mahomes’ trust through two seasons.

Similar to Toney, Moore should have an opportunity to correct past mistakes while Rice is suspended, though I don’t imagine he’ll get many chances.

    5. Wanya Morris – LT

The selection of Kingsley Suamataia is terrible news for Lucas Niang, but it’s a bad sign for 2023 third-round pick Wanya Morris as well. Morris had an opportunity to take over as the left tackle of the future with Donovan Smith heading to free agency, though Suamataia now provides stiff competition for that spot.

Suamataia wasted no time in letting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs know they made the right pick, and Mahomes sounds excited to have the hulking BYU lineman potentially protecting his blindside.

That same level of excitement hasn’t been extended to Morris. Veach made it clear that this would be a fair competition as well.

Whether or not Morris earns the starting gig, he’s an ideal backup tackle capable of playing on either side if necessary. He likely had bigger expectations entering his rookie year, especially after he fared well starting in Smith’s place at the end of the year, but he hasn’t shown the ceiling that Suamataia can provide.

Given the upcoming contract negotiations for Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith and potentially Joe Thuney, Kansas City needs young, team-friendly contracts wherever possible on the line.

Suamataia can provide a higher ceiling with an extra year of club control, giving him an advantage over Morris.

    6. Justin Reid – S

Let me be explicitly clear that Justin Reid has been great with the Chiefs and is clearly the best safety on the roster as it stands. He’s been invaluable to the defense during these consecutive Super Bowl runs, bringing a defining physicality to the secondary that’s helped give Kansas City the NFL’s best defense.

That being said, it looks like the Chiefs are preparing to eventually move on. Reid is entering the final year of his three-year contract and is only 27 years old, so he’ll likely require another hefty payday if he returns.

2022 second-round pick Bryan Cook is on track to return from his broken ankle and the Chiefs just made a fantastic fourth-round selection by taking Washington State safety Jaden Hicks. That gives the organization two exciting, young safeties who could theoretically step into starting roles, giving Brett Veach financial flexibility if he’s reluctant to give Reid another big payday.

Veach has never given a second contract to a member of the secondary. We’ve seen players like Charvarius Ward, Tyrann Mathieu, and L’Jarius Sneed all walk, so Reid could be next in line.

Once you consider the large number of young players that’ll need contracts, including All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie, it’s easy to imagine Reid being the odd man out given the preparations the Chiefs have already begun making.

Could Reid force Veach’s hand with a stellar season as the vocal leader of the secondary? He could, but I’m not betting on it at this point.

Logan Paul is one of the most polarizing figures in the WWE and is also considered one of the best heels ever. Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the NFL, having won three Super Bowls, two of which came in the last year two seasons.

Along with those Super Bowl championships comes some hardware, including some nice Super Bowl rings, which means the Chiefs’ quarterback has three rings he can show off whenever he pleases, and he just did that WWE Monday Night Raw.

Logan Paul is known for using brass knuckles to his advantage to win matches, and that has evidently not changed. However, there was a little modification this time when Paul went over to Patrick Mahomes, sat in the front row of the event in Kansas City, and borrowed his Super Bowl rings.

Pat McAfee posted to X with a clip of Paul using the rings to try to take out Jey Uso but missing hitting JD McDonagh. McAfee captioned the post, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING,” tagging Patrick Mahomes as he was obviously surprised by the move.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter was quick to quote tweet McAfee’s post. Schefter had a little fun joking that there was a “new use for Super Bowl rings,” poking fun at Paul and Mohomes’ gimmick during the Monday Night Raw.

You may be wondering why on earth the face of the NFL and the current raining Super Bowl champion quarterback would help one of the most hated wrestlers in the WWE. The All-Star quarterback signed a deal with Paul and his business partner KSI to become a PRIME athlete.

Patrick Mahomes is a PRIME athlete sponsored by Logan Paul and KSI’s hydration beverage, PRIME. The company has even treated Mahomes to special treatment, including a diamond chain and his own themed bottle.

After something as viral as Patrick Mahomes handing his Super Bowl rings to Logan Paul, we shouldn’t count out another Mahomes appearance in the WWE universe yet!

Joyner Lucas speaks out: Record Labels are Deceptive! Promised Collaborations with Cardi, Ed, and Bruno

Joyner Lucas is reflecting on his time with a major record label, expressing deep regret over what he describes as a string of broken promises.

During a conversation on Math Hoffa’s “My Expert Opinion,” Joyner and his longtime manager and business partner Drew revisited the period when they were courted by Atlantic Records before signing in 2016.

They recounted enduring lengthy delays in receiving payments, likening the process to money falling slowly like confetti – hardly cause for celebration.

Although Joyner was initially thrilled to sign with Atlantic, he released only one project with the label before parting ways a few years later.

Describing Atlantic’s recruitment as a deceptive tactic, Joyner and Drew allege that the label utilized manipulative strategies to persuade them into signing the contract.

According to Joyner, Atlantic executives promised easy access to some of the label’s biggest stars, including Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars, for collaborations. However, these promises never materialized.

Throughout his career, Joyner has collaborated with prominent artists such as Eminem, J. Cole, and Chris Brown. Despite his success, none of these artists are signed to Atlantic.

Meek Mill, who collaborated with Joyner in 2018 and was also signed to Atlantic, has since made it a priority to advocate for improved record deals. This raises questions about why aspiring artists continue to sign with major labels despite numerous accounts of unfavorable experiences.
