PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) – At the NFL Annual League Meeting on Tuesday Philadelphia Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie commented on how Jason Kelce will remain a part of the Eagles culture.

“What happens with us, and I think you’ll see it with both Jason and Fletch. . . is they’re a part of the organization (after retirement),” said Lurie. “I don’t expect any of them to not be a part of what we’re doing as the decades go by.”

Lurie says that the long-term relationship built with players in Philadelphia is part of what makes the team special.

“These are guys that you’re going to see around us forever, at least as long as I’m around and I think it goes long after that,” Lurie said. “It’s part of why I love our team so much.”

As far as celebrations for Kelce and Fletcher Cox, Lurie says there will definitely be something, but the details haven’t been solidified yet.

“They deserve it,” Lurie said. “There’s going to be, I’m sure, lots of celebrations.”

Jason Kelce reveals what dad Ed BANNED Travis from doing during football games during episode of New Heights… but Chiefs tight end insists those ‘instincts got me where I am’

Jason Kelce has revealed one thing in particular that his dad, Ed, banned his brother, Travis, from doing during football games on the latest episode of New Heights.

On Wednesday, the recently retired Super Bowl LII champion said that Travis, who won two more rings than his older brother on the Chiefs, was banned from hurdling, supposedly over other players, during games while growing up.

In football, at any level, hurdling is a legal move if a defender is lying on the ground. However, if that defender is still on their feet, hurdling would result in a foul.

‘Our dad banned Travis from hurdling,’ Jason, 36, said during Wednesday’s episode of the popular podcast he co-hosts with his younger brother, as new Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was invited on the show.

Directly addressing his father, Travis replied: ‘Dad, those are instincts that got me to where I am. I’m going to f***ing hurdle somebody first game next year and end up on my f***ing head.’

Hurdling has very much been part of Travis’ game throughout the years, as pointed out by the Chiefs tight end himself, who uses the technique to pass by defenders after being found by his teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

There are several highlights of the three-time Super Bowl champion hurdling over opponents in recent seasons, like in 2022, when he hurdled 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga on a 27-yard catch and run.

He also once had a 23-yard catch-and-run against the Titans. But it ended with a dangerous hurdle, as Travis was flipped over by his opponent after running into him.

Travis has another impressive hurdle from 2018, too, as he leaped over the Patriots’ Duron Harmon, who was standing (but ducking) on his two feet, on a 17-yard catch and run.

Kylie Kelce is working to be a good role model for girls in her life

When Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce made history as the first brothers on opposing teams during the Super Bowl in 2023, the Kelce family off the field faced increased attention.

Kylie Kelce Backs Important Message In Dove's Super Bowl 2024 Commercial

While that attention to their family may have died down after the game was over, it’s definitely back now. Considering the public’s interest in the relationship between superstar singer/songwriter Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis, renewed attention has come to the Kelces. That includes Kylie Kelce, who is married to Jason, center for the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis’ older brother.

Kylie seems to be using that increased attention to help promote a fantastic and important message of body confidence for young girls via a partnership with Dove, and that message is going to get even more attention as it’s the focus of Dove’s 2024 Super Bowl commercial.

Kylie posted the announcement of her partnership with Dove on her Instagram page and explained why she was working with them: “Did you know that 45% of girls drop out of sports due to low body confidence? Let’s change that.”

Kylie Kelce Backs Important Message In Dove's Super Bowl 2024 Commercial

Dove worked with Nike to create the Body Confident Sport initiative, and what’s particularly great about it is that it isn’t just a hashtag or an awareness campaign. It’s actionable items that can be used by coaches of 11-17-year-old girls to help boost their confidence, and it’s all backed by scientific research. The self-paced, online learning modules help people better understand body image and its connection to sports, how to help combat negative body image, and how to increase self-esteem and confidence both on and off the field.

Kylie Kelce is uniquely positioned to help champion this cause with experience in it from multiple perspectives. While she might be best known for being married to NFL player Jason Kelce, she’s an athlete in her own right. Kylie played field hockey in high school and college, and she’s a field hockey coach at her high school alma mater. Kylie also has three daughters with her husband Jason.

The role of a coach can be vitally important in a young girl’s life. “These young women are looking up to you in a space that […] you have found joy in,” Kylie explained to Women’s Health. “I feel like sometimes young girls listen to their coaches a little more than they listen to their moms.” Since not all coaches have the tools to talk to and support their young female athletes, this program could be a game changer.

The Philadelphia Eagles center’s wife, Kylie, shared a postpartum update three weeks after the couple welcomed their third baby girl, daughter Bennett Llewellyn.

Hey guys, today officially marks 3 weeks since Bennett’s arrival, and just thought it would be a good time to check in. I’m feeling about as put together as my hair right now, so frazzled, we’ll go with,” the mom of three joked.

Kylie went on to describe the “interesting dynamic” she’s enjoyed seeing “unfold in our household.”

“Wyatt, our oldest, has been a tremendous help. Elliotte, our now middle, just stopped saying put ‘it’ down, ‘it’ being Bennett, so I feel like we’re trending in the right direction,” she shared. “We’re getting the hang of three littles.”

Kylie went on to discuss her birth experience and how her partnership with Frida Mom helped optimize her recovery afterward.

“My birth with Bennett was extremely similar to my other two births. I was fortunate enough to not have to push for very long, and I got an epidural which is top priority for me,” she said. “Ultimately, it was as pleasant as a human exiting your body could possibly be, so we’ll chalk it up to a win.”

Kylie called the recovery process “where the hard work starts,” explaining, “not only are you trying to help yourself recover, but you’re also trying to care for a completely dependent little being.”

Breaking news : Overwhelmed Jason Kelce announced that mom Donna is set to re-marry dad Ed after 20 years of divorce

It sure seems like Taylor Swift is being welcomed into the Kelce family.

On Feb. 1, Donna Kelce updated her Facebook cover photo to include a group shot which features the “Cruel Summer” singer.

In the picture, Kelce stands on the left, smiling and waving, while wearing her son’s No. 87 Chiefs jersey. Swift is kneeling in the front, wearing a black skirt, red top and black cap. Her left arm is extended and she looks like she’s shouting in joy.

There are nearly 20 people in the photo, all of whom look ecstatic, with multiple ones wearing Chiefs paraphernalia. Chiefs fans, of course, are feeling pretty good these days after the team beat the Baltimore Ravens Jan. 28 in the AFC championship game to advance to the 2024 Super Bowl. Swift sported a red sweater and black hat in photos from the game shared by Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, so it’s possible Kelce’s new cover photo on Facebook is from that day.

Donna and Ed Kelce made headlines last year when their two sons, Travis and Jason, a center with the Philadelphia Eagles, competed against each other in the Super Bowl.

In February 2023, the two became the first-ever NFL parents to have sons on opposite sides of a matchup on football’s biggest stage. And now, they’re back in the spotlight as moments of them next to their son Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, have gone viral.

Swift, who’s been spotted attending Chiefs games since late September 2023, has been captured sitting beside and sharing laughs with Donna and Ed Kelce.

Most recently, Swift was pictured with three members of her boyfriend’s family — Ed, Donna and Jason Kelce — when the Chiefs won the AFC championship game.

In the photo shared by Swift’s friend Keleigh Teller, in her Instagram story, they all appear to be sharing a big laugh as Jason Kelce holds a beer and looks behind him toward a crowd of people.

Following the Chiefs’ win against the Baltimore Ravens, Swift and the family rushed the field together for a moment with the all-star tight end.

Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce welcomed their famous sons into the world over three decades ago. Here’s what to know about some of the most iconic parents in football.

Donna was the first person in her family to graduate from college
While appearing on a parents episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast, “New Heights,” Feb. 6 prior to the 2023 Super Bowl, Donna Kelce, née Blalock, said that she grew up in inner city Cleveland in a “small house” with her grandparents living upstairs.

After moving to the suburbs in fourth grade, the mom of two said her own mother was “very ill” and passed away when she was 12 and her brother was 10. Following her biological mother’s death, Donna Kelce said her dad married a “wonderful human being” named Mary.

“(Mary) raised Don and I,” Donna Kelce said, referring to her brother. “And, by the grace of God, if we didn’t have her, I don’t think we would have made it through.”

Mary motivated Donna Kelce to go to college, despite the reluctance of her father, who wanted her to attend secretary school. After earning a degree in broadcast communications from Ohio University, Donna Kelce became the first person in her family to graduate from college.

But Donna Kelce chose not to pursue a career in communications. She went back to school for her masters and ended up in banking.

Ed comes from a long line of military veterans
On the same podcast episode with his sons, Ed Kelce said he was the oldest of two children and grew up in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland.

“Blue collar town, blue collar part of Cleveland, great neighborhood,” he said on the podcast of his childhood. “It was a lot of fun.”

After graduating from high school, Ed Kelce said he initially attended Ohio State University, but went home after about a “quarter and a half.” He said he took credits at two other schools and wound up with about a year of collegiate-level education under his belt.

Ed Kelce then went to work in the steel industry, eventually becoming a sales rep who sold products to manufacturers, he explained in a February interview with The Los Angeles Times.

“I’d take them there — hard hat, safety glasses, boots, the whole nine yards,” he told the publication of bringing his sons to work. “I’d tell them,’ You can have a job like your mother’s, or you can have a job like mine.’”

At one point, he attempted to join the Marines to follow in the footsteps of generations of family members who served in the U.S. military. However, the Marines, nor the Army, would accept him due to a knee injury from high school football that still impacted him.

He began training with the Coast Guard, but explained to his sons on the podcast that he had to drop out because his Crohn’s disease was “acting up” for the first time in his life.

Ed Kelce also revealed on the podcast that he worked part time at a candy store around Christmas in order to pay for gifts for his family.

“I had two kids that I was crazy about,” he said of his reason for taking on the additional work. “I don’t think I’m unique in that.”

Donna and Ed describe how they met the first time
Donna Kelce recounted her meet cute with Ed Kelce on the podcast. As the story goes, they first met at the popular Cleveland bar Fagan’s after work.

“He came up to me with the illustrious pickup line, which was, ‘Did you say Joe?’ And I said, ‘No.’ And he said, ‘Oh I thought you said Joe.’ I said, ‘Is your name Joe?’ And he said, ‘No, it’s Ed,’” she recalled, as the three of them laughed.

But Donna Kelce had another date she was supposed to be at while chatting the night away with Ed Kelce.

“I was supposed to go out with a guy that night. We were supposed to go to a play and I never made it,” she said. “Your dad and I talked forever … It was meant to be. It’s just the way it was.”

Ed Kelce said that he didn’t remember that his former wife stood up her date, nor that he used that pickup line.

But he did recall Donna Kelce giving him a ride home to shower and change after his day in the Steel Mill. He said they then continued their conversation at another nearby bar called “The No Name.”

They were together for over 20 years before getting a divorce
Donna and Ed Kelce open up about their relationship struggles in the documentary “Kelce,” focusing on their older son. While the couple say they would have “preferred” to have split early on, they stayed together for the kids.

“If we had split as we probably both would have preferred, that would have been a nightmare with the logistics, getting kids where they had to be and providing all the support,” Ed Kelce said in “Kelce”.

They remained amicable. On the “New Heights” podcast in 2023, Jason and Travis Kelce spoke to their mom about her marriage to their father, which lasted for over 20 years, before Donna Kelce confirmed she and Ed Kelce divorced over 10 years ago.

Donna Kelce said they’re “friends to this day.”

She continued, “We get along great, it’s just sometimes people, they, move apart.”

Ed Kelce shared a similar sentiment, telling the two that he wants “nothing but happiness for (their) mother.”

After Jason Kelce asked each of his parents separately if they regret marrying one another, they both quickly responded no, with Donna Kelce adding, “Because I got you two.”

Donna Kelce said she and her former husband were a “tag team” raising their two boys and “did all these fun things.”

“It was perfect,” she said. “You got to do whatever sports you wanted. You got to go on all the tournaments. You got to everything and it worked out.”

Ed coached Jason and Travis in baseball growing up
After asking their dad to recount which organized sport first inspired their passion for the game, Ed Kelce reminded them that their love began on their living room floor.

“The first thing you did was you were a toddler on the living room floor and you rolled a ball to me, you rolled it back and we played that way and that’s where it all started,” he said on the “New Heights” podcast.

Growing up in Cleveland Heights, Ed Kelce coached his sons, Travis Kelce in T-ball and Jason Kelce in coach pitch baseball. He even built them areas to play sports in their garage and threw a ball around with his two boys in their front yard.

Though he beamed talking about his sons’ athletic abilities from a young age, Ed Kelce said he always reminded his sons the value of hard work and humility — both as a coach and as a dad.

“I didn’t like you being on the team where you were the stud,” he said to Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce. “I wanted you on a team where you had to work harder.”

    Donna and Ed are grandparents
In 2019, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce became grandparents when Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, welcomed daughter Wyatt. The couple has since welcomed two more girls, Elliotte and Bennett.

As of 2020, Ed Kelce lives a mile away from his firstborn son’s family, moving from Cleveland to Philadelphia on a nine-acre farm, according to the LA Times.

He told the publication that the move allows him more time with his granddaughters and the opportunity to help the family grow produce, the majority of which they donate to underprivileged families.

Donna Kelce shared a video montage of photos on Instagram in July 2023 from a summer trip to Disney World, set to the song “Moments We Live For.”

After the Eagles great retired, ESPN “aggressively pursued Jason Kelce to join Monday Night Football,” but the network “faces competition from NBC, CBS, and Amazon Prime.”

Jason Kelce is being ‘aggressively pursued’ by ESPN to join its Monday Night Football program, according to reports.

Kelce, 36, called time on his legendary NFL career in an emotional press conference earlier this month, when he announced his decision to bow out from the sport after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Nevertheless, the Super Bowl-winning center is certainly not short of options as he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his post-playing career, with a number of television networks reportedly battling it out to sign him.

According to The Athletic, ESPN is determined to add Kelce to Monday Night Football next season as part of a shake-up to its pregame panel.

Just one year after Scott Van Pelt stewarded a makeover of the set, Robert Griffin III’s place is believed to be under threat, while Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s part-time role on ‘Monday Night Countdown’ is in limbo.

Robert Griffin III’s place on the show as an analyst is believed to be under threat next season

Fitzgerald’s contract expired in February and has not yet been renewed after executives told him they wanted to see how the rest of their lineup shapes up before making a final decision.

ESPN officials have set their sights on adding Kelce to their popular Monday night show as an analyst, yet they also face competition from several other networks.

NBC, CBS and Amazon Prime are also keen to snap up the recently-retired star, who featured on the latter’s Thursday Night Football when the Chicago Bears hosted the Carolina Panthers back in November.

Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark are set to return on ‘Countdown’ with Van Pelt, while Michelle Beisner-Buck will remain feature reporter.

Another man on ESPN’s wish-list is the great Bill Belichick, who is without a coaching job in the NFL after leaving the New England Patriots.

However, Belichick is understood to have told the network that he has no interest in joining a regular studio show.

Kelce is hot property in the TV world after announcing his retirement, which brought his lengthy stint in Philadelphia to an end.

Kelce, 36, chose to bring the curtain down on his storied football career earlier this month

Earlier this week Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni admitted the team has lost one of the greatest players to grace both the franchise and the NFL after his veteran center chose to walk away.

‘Obviously we are losing one of the best players in not only Eagles history but NFL history,’ Sirianni said at the NFL’s Annual League Meeting on Tuesday.

‘One of the best centers of all time, so obviously there’s gonna be things that we gotta work to replace with that.’

Last weekend, Travis sent Swifties into meltdown by appearing to hint about children with the singer, as well as potentially getting engaged during the latest installment of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason.

Kelce was talking about French NBA player Victor Wembanyama, joking that the 7-foot-4 San Antonio Spurs star was ‘lab-grown’ for basketball.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are more than just teammates-turned-besties. The Chiefs stars announced plans for their new Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime, just last month. And while initial details on the project were sparse, Mahomes himself is finally spilling the tea on what fans and locals can expect.

“Me and Travis have been working on that for awhile. We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together,” the KC QB said in a video, per Fox 4 Kansas City. “We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.”

This content is imported from x. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

While the new restaurant, which is set to open in 2025 under the Noble 33 umbrella, will have a luxury flair like its Toca Madera and Sparrow Italia counterparts, Mahomes insists that they want to make it an accessible option for everyone. When the reporter joked that it would be a “$15 menu, right,” he was quick to clarify.

“I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15,” he told the local news outlet. “All honesty, though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go.”

“So we’re going to make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home, and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it,” Mahomes added.

As for what exactly that menu includes, there are two things he promised: ketchup and an Andy Reid Cheeseburger.

“I’ve already seen the menu…a few of my favorites. Ketchup will be there,” he joked of his favorite condiment, while adding that they’ll “definitely” have an Andy Reid cheeseburger on the menu in a nod to the Chiefs head coach, who celebrated the team’s Super Bowl win with a burger. “That’ll for sure be on there,” he quipped.

“Hopefully we can win some games at Arrowhead Stadium and then we get to go over and have a few drinks and food with it,” Mahomes said.
