Kylie Kelce says she’s overwhelmed and feels “guilty” that fans have become so intrigued by her life, as she hangs out with brother-in-law Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, while husband Jason Kelce has made headlines for his viral shirtless Kansas City Chiefs game antics.

 

“I feel almost a little guilty that people are so interested and invested in what I’m doing,” Kylie, 31, told Good Morning America in an interview that aired on Monday, January 29. “I’m like, ‘I am trying to scrape applesauce off the couch. This is not that fascinating.’ So, it’s funny to me. I deeply appreciate the support,” she continued.

Jason, 36, and Kylie share three daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 11 months. She works as a high school field hockey coach in suburban Philadelphia. Fans praised Kylie for her no-nonsense way of dealing with Jason when the Philadelphia Eagles star went shirtless and jumped out of their suite during the Chiefs’ playoff road game against the Buffalo Bills. With a beer in hand, he celebrated a Kansas City touchdown score by his brother by heading into the stands of Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, while surrounded by Bills fans. Kylie later explained how she was lenient at first before trying to get him under control.

She recalled how Jason wanted the full tailgate experience with the Bills Mafia and was already in full party mode when he got to their suite. “He said to me, ‘I’m going to, I’m going to take my shirt off and I’m gonna jump out,’” Kylie told GMA in a segment that aired on January 26. “And I was like, ‘I don’t think that’s the best idea.

‘ But I think that it was that continued energy from when he was hyping himself up…” she continued. “So, the first time he jumped out of the suite, I was, you know what, go ahead. That’s my husband! And then the second and third time he did it, I was like, I’m gonna need you to get back in because the poor cops that are out front trying to keep the chaos at a minimum, are, you’re making their jobs harder.

So, at first, I was all for it. And then I had to try and reel him back in.” Taylor’s fans were also thrilled to see her interacting with another member of Travis’ family, as Kylie and Jason were able to cheer on his little brother after the Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs in the wild card round. The “Cruel Summer” singer was seen hugging Kylie after big plays and posed for a group photo together.

Football fans became aware of Kylie’s toughness and devotion to her husband and the game when she attended Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, despite being 38 weeks pregnant with Bennett at the time. She even brought along her obstetrician to the big game in case she went into labor. Unfortunately, she didn’t have much to celebrate as far as on-field action, as Jason’s Eagles lost to Travis’ Chiefs, with the younger brother taking home his second Super Bowl ring in four years on February 12, 2023. Kylie gave birth to Bennett less than two weeks later on February 23, 2023.

 

 

A day after Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce announced his retirement, his wife, Kylie Kelce, spoke about her reaction to her husband’s speech in an exclusive interview with NBC10.

Kylie told NBC10 she had heard her husband’s speech before he addressed the media Monday afternoon.

“I think I was the only one that had heard the speech before he went into it,” she said. “I think it was just a perfect summary of 13 years. It was an incredible run he had as a player in the NFL.”

She also said her husband had been working on the speech for years.

“I’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years. This was a completely different version,” she said. “I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface. But when he said that he was contemplating retirement for years, he means for years.”

Kylie had a front row seat to her husband’s speech on Monday, including the portion in which he spoke about how they first met at an Eagles Christmas party.

“I still remember the moment she walked through the door. The first instance is burned in my retina. It was like she glided through the opening,” her husband said. “Then she started talking and I thought, ‘Man, is this what love feels like?’”

Kylie told NBC10 the moment made her emotional but also amused her.

“It cracks me up that he tries to talk about what he remembers from that night because he was, as I’ve said before, intoxicated,” she said. “It was very, very sweet. Very kind. It was far too much credit.”

Jason Kelce’s speech drew strong reactions from Eagles fans and NFL viewers in general.

“The outpouring of love and support is expected because I know who my husband is and the way he has conducted himself and how that has touched the lives of people,” Kylie said. “But at the same time, it’s still shocking.”

Jason Kelce has been urged to reject a tempting TV role amid speculations about his return to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Having recently decided to retire from the NFL in an emotional press conference, Kelce has already been asked to return to the Eagles. Saquon Barkley, who has just joined the Philadelphia franchise from the New York Giants, wants to play alongside Kelce.

 

This is happening while several broadcasters are fighting for his on-screen talents, as he’s now free to sign up with new organisations. Kelce is one of American football’s most popular stars and hosts the ‘New Heights’ podcast with brother Travis.

That’s why ESPN, NBC, CBS, and Amazon Prime Video all want to get Kelce as a broadcaster for the 2024 NFL season, according to The Athletic. The former centre did a stint with Amazon Prime last season during the Eagles’ bye week, but ESPN is striving hard not to let their major rivals nab him. Yet, former ESPN worker Dan Patrick has counselled Kelce against accepting any position at his former company.

With a career spanning various prominent roles in sports broadcasting including 18 years at ESPN, Patrick currently hosts The Dan Patrick Show on Premiere Radio Networks, streamed on Peacock, and used to co-present NBC’s Football Night in America.

The 66-year-old, who knows a lot about the business, has warned Kelce to be careful with any offers from ESPN. “You have to be ready for what they are going to ask you to do,” Patrick said on his show. “You don’t just come in and do Monday Night Countdown. There’s so much more they’ll ask you to do.

“It’s called the car wash for a reason. You go in and you’ll be on this show and this show and this show and this show. You’re at their demand.”

Patrick thinks Kelce is good at sharing his thoughts and told him to remember how popular he is. “I wouldn’t advise him to go there because I think he’s a unique voice right now, and I would want to have one place where I could hear him,” Patrick added.

Kelce is looking forward to a summer without football for the first time in 13 years and might not make any quick decisions. His podcast ‘New Heights’ is also important and will be part of any talks. But Barkley hopes Kelce will play one more season.

Barkley voiced his excitement about the coming season on ‘New Heights’ and his hopes that Kelce would continue playing for the Eagles. “I’m like a kid in a candy store. I’m happy. I got a fresh start. I can’t wait to meet everybody and just go out there and play ball,” said Barkley on his move to Philadelphia.

Kelce agreed that the new season would be fun to watch, to which Barkley replied: “You don’t gotta watch it, you know.”

The football community doesn’t expect Kelce to change his mind, and he will leave a significant space in the Eagles’ team.

“I think I’ll have an answer in the next couple weeks,” the beloved Philadelphia Eagles center said.

“I think if I still want to play, I’m going to play,” Kelce said. “I think right now we’re not far enough away from the last game. It’s emotional, it’s a long season, the end of the season quite frankly, awful. So I’m just going to take some time, rest, recoup and then figure it out.”

Kelce played his last game of the season on January 15 when the Eagles were eliminated from the NFL playoffs in a 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As the clock ticked down at the end of the game, television cameras caught Kelce holding back tears and sharing an emotional embrace with his longtime offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland.

The 13-year veteran then jogged towards the stands to look for his family, sharing another emotional hug with his wife Kylie and a handshake with his father Ed Kelce, who traveled to Florida to be there for the game.

Kelce declined to speak with the media after the game, meanwhile players, pundits and the league itself posted tributes to him on social media with the assumption he had just played his final NFL game.

Both the NFL and ESPN reported that Kelce told his Eagles teammates after the game that he planned to retire.

However, nearly a month since then, Kelce has repeatedly indicated he might not be ready to hang it up after all.

Last week on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, Kelce said the idea of retirement is “exciting” but also “daunting.”

“It is exciting to think about possibilities — it is exciting to be able to lose weight, feel good, and not physically fight for my life every day,” he said. “I think it is also daunting. It is anxiety and at the end of the day, it is the unknown.”

Kelce has been open about his thoughts towards retirement in recent years, most prominently during a wrenching scene in his Kelce documentary on Prime Video last fall.

“It’s getting harder and harder to play,” Jason said in one poignant scene. “There have been little things that are not big things yet but are going to turn into big things the longer I play.”

He and Kylie, 31, welcomed their third daughter Bennett Llewellyn Kelce shortly after Super Bowl LVII last year, which the Eagles lost to his brother’s Kansas City Chiefs team.

Kelce has spent the last month in the stands with his family and Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift, cheering on his brother as the Chiefs went on to win back-to-back Super Bowl championships on Sunday.

On an episode of the brothers’ New Heights podcast, Kelce said that when it comes to his retirement, he’s doing his best not to factor in the chance to win another Super Bowl with the Eagles.

“I want the decision of whether I am going to play to be based on whether I want to do it,” he told his brother Travis. “Selfishly, I need to decide, can I commit? Can I mentally be there? Do I want to endure that again? Winning helps that, but you try to not factor that into the decision.”

“That family, I’ve become close with it. Between Travis and then Jason, I’ve watched both guys grow,” Reid said. “Tremendous players, and Jason is a great leader – emotional player, brings that to the table, and has done so for a long time. 13 years? That’s a long time.”

“My hat goes off to him. He’s going on top as a player, an All-Pro player. Could he have played a couple more years? Probably,” Reid continued. “But that body, it’s taken a lot of pounding. And he’s got a nice little gig going now. But listen – I’m proud – I love the kid, and I’m proud of him for making that decision.”

Philadelphia used a sixth-round pick on Kelce in 2011. It didn’t take long for him to make an impact, as he was immediately named the starter at center after winning the job in training camp.

His sophomore season was cut short after suffering a brutal ACL and MCL injury. However, from there, Kelce would become an ironman in Philadelphia. Outside of four missed games in 2014, Kelce started every game for the Eagles from 2013-2023. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler, six-time All-Pro and a Super Bowl champion.

While he welcomed the offensive lineman to the league, Reid didn’t have the longest tenure with Kelce under his watch. After a rough 4-12 season in 2022, Reid’s contract wasn’t renewed. Still, the head coach knew just how talented and invested Kelce was. It didn’t take him a decade to see what he was cut out to be a center in the NFL.

While he not have been coaching Jason Kelce, Reid has had the opportunity to work his brother for his entire NFL career. Travis Kelce’s first year with the Kansas City Chiefs was also Reid’s.

The two have gone on to have immense success together. The tight end is a nine-time Pro Bowler, and four-time Pro Bowler. Together, they have helped lead the Chiefs to four Super Bowl titles.

In their most recent win over the San Francisco 49ers, fans got to see an insight into the Kelce’s bond. Through both their New Heights podcast and the center’s excitement at Chiefs games, the pair connected through Kansas City’s road to the championship.

And in a way, Andy Reid got to connect with his lineman once again. While he wasn’t coaching him, they shared the jubilation of a championship and understood the battletested road that was walked to get there.

On the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, former Eagles center Jason Kelce announced that both he and Fletcher Cox will throw out first pitches ahead of the Phillies’ “Opening Night” game on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves.

Kelce and Cox, both franchise legends, hung up their cleats and retired this offseason. This is one of the many fitting tributes that will come for the All-Pro duo who combined to play 381 regular season games with the Birds.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was one of the stars on the field during a 27–24 AFC divisional round victory over the Buffalo Bills, but it was his brother who put on a clinic for how to be the ultimate super fan.

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce went viral after the first of two touchdowns his brother scored against Buffalo, as he stood hanging out of a suite shirtless and screaming in celebration while wearing a Chiefs beanie.

Chiefs fans loved it, the general NFL fans couldn’t help but enjoy it, and even Dallas Cowboys fans surely got a kick out of it. But the most incredible reaction may have come from Jason’s daughter, Ellie, who apparently had just four words to say to her mother when she saw her dad on television.

“Dads boobs are showing!” Kelce revealed his wife had told him via text after the Chiefs game.

The reactions to Jason’s viral clip were nothing short of spectacular, but Ellie may have taken the cake for her response to the incredible scene. Even Travis couldn’t help but laugh while admitting he wasn’t surprised to hear about his brother’s shirtless celebration.

The Chiefs’ tight end led all players in receiving, finishing with five receptions for 75 yards and two scores. Kansas City will now head to its sixth consecutive AFC championship game and is set for a showdown with Lamar Jackson and the No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens.
