The Bulls have been actively trying to trade LaVine but have struggled to find any teams willing to take on his contract. According to reports, the Bulls even offered LaVine to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins, but the deal did not materialize.

Meanwhile, acquiring Trae Young seems less likely for the Los Angeles Lakers. Jovan Buha of The Athletic noted that Young’s recent switch from Klutch Sports to CAA makes a trade to the Lakers more challenging.

The Lakers are determined to regain their legacy as a dominant team. After selecting Dalton Knecht with the No. 17 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Lakers made a historic move by drafting LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, with the No. 55 pick. In contrast, Zach LaVine’s last season was not noteworthy for his foot surgery, limiting him to just 25 games. During those games, he averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game for the Chicago Bulls.

Kevin Durant preferred to avoid the public eye after the Phoenix Suns’ disappointing elimination from the playoffs. However, when the big man was spotted, the NBA community said he was on “the wrong side.”

Recently, Durant made headlines for being present at Canadian rapper Drake’s Toronto mansion. The 35-year-old forward was in his casual shorts and pullover. It looked like he was enjoying himself with a football in one hand and a beverage in another.

Travis Kelce was spotted in the same club as Leonardo DiCaprio and Tristan Thompson before he jetted off to Ireland to surprise Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour.

The unlikely trio trickled in and out of The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood, California – a known celebrity hotspot – on Friday night, per Duexmoi.

Sources told the gossip blog that Kelce, Thompson and DiCaprio were all co-mingling inside before gradually leaving the venue around 1.30am.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers star was first to leave the club.

Thompson was seen wearing a white crewneck sweater and black pants as he flashed a smile for the paparazzi outside.

The Boston Celtics superstar, who led the team to their 18th championship last month, is finalizing a five-year, super maximum contract extension through the 2029-30 season, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania on Monday.

The 26-year-old’s deal supersedes the five-year, $304 million contract that his teammate Jaylen Brown signed last season.

At the time, Brown’s deal was the NBA’s richest contract.

After clinching victory two weeks ago, Tatum got on the mic at the Celtics’ after party and  repeated a line from Kanye West’s infamous 2005 Grammys speech.

It comes amid news that the ownership group of the Celtics is reportedly planning to put the team up for sale.

After buying the franchise back in 2002, the team – led by CEO Wyc Grousbeck – is set to hit the open market.

‘Boston Basketball Partners LLC, the ownership group of the Boston Celtics, announced today its intention to sell all the shares of the team,’ read a statement from the team.

Tatum most recently led the team to a record 18th championship after beating the Mavericks

‘The controlling family of the ownership group, after considerable thought and internal discussion, has decided to sell the team for estate and family planning considerations.’

The statement continued, ‘The managing board of the ownership group expects to sell a majority interest in 2024 or early 2025, with the balance closing in 2028, and expects Wyc Grousbeck to remain as the Governor of the team until the second closing in 2028.’

According to Forbes, the Celtics were the fourth-most valuable NBA franchise in 2023 – at a valuation of $4.7billion. The current owners bought the team for a value of $360m at the time.

Boston Basketball Partners LLC purchased the team from Paul Gaston back in 2002 and have seen the franchise reach the NBA Finals four times since that purchase.

LaVine, who won a gold medal with the 2020 U.S. Olympic team in Tokyo, only played 25 games in the 2023-24 season due to back, foot, shoulder, and ankle injuries. Despite this, the 29-year-old guard averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. On the other hand, Ingram showcased his exceptional skills throughout the 2023-24 season with consistently dominating performances. The 26-year-old forward averaged 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 64 games during the 2023-24 season.

The Golden State Warriors will need to recruit top-tier players to support their star player, Stephen Curry, in the upcoming season. There have been speculations about a potential disagreement between Klay Thompson and the Warriors. Adding players like LaVine or Ingram would be a great move for the team. Additionally, the Warriors are interested in acquiring the star player of the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul George. However, it is unlikely to happen as NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that George plans to speak with the Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Orlando Magic starting late Sunday night Pacific time after free agency opens.

“The type of player that James would be willing to make a financial sacrifice for would be an established veteran playmaker such as James Harden or Klay Thompson, or an established big man to play alongside Anthony Davis such as Jonas Valančiūnas,” McMenamin reported.

LeBron faced a 5 p.m. ET deadline on Saturday to inform the Lakers of his decision regarding his contract. Ultimately, he chose to opt out of the final year of his contract, worth $51.4 million for the next season, paving the way for his teammates. Reportedly, the Lakers were ready to adorn his legacy with a three-year max deal.

Harden, Thompson, and Valanciunas are all unrestricted free agents. Nevertheless, this isn’t the first instance of James prioritizing the team over financial gain. During his Miami Heat career, the 39-year-old accepted a pay cut to join forces with stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

On Saturday, NBA insider Anthony Slater for The Athletic shared some insight into Thompson’s decision. He mentioned that there is no discussion between the Warriors and Thompson, and Thompson is close to leaving the Warriors, the team he was closest to.

“There’s been no productive discussion between the Warriors and Thompson or his representatives nothing is currently on the table. Thompson’s exit from the only franchise he has ever known feels closer and more probable than ever before.” Slater said.

However, in spite of the ongoing speculations, another NBA insider has also revealed Thompson’s interest in a team. He mentioned that the 34-year-old guard is interested in the prospect of teaming up with LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers.

The viral moment that sent the internet into a frenzy has been life-changing for Welch, who has since made thousands of dollars through merchandise sales while also securing a Hollywood agent, according to reports.

She recently revealed having quit her job to move into entertainment.

“I done quit my job, I said ‘peace,’” she said on the Barstool Sports ‘Plan Bri’ podcast recently.

“I think we’re going to do a show and we’ll be on a bunch of podcasts and everything in between. There’s more to come.”
