Jason Kelce finally signed a $41m 4 yrs. Contract with NFL ‘ He deserve it ‘ /d

A day after Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce announced his retirement, his wife, Kylie Kelce, spoke about her reaction to her husband’s speech in an exclusive interview with NBC10.

Kylie told NBC10 she had heard her husband’s speech before he addressed the media Monday afternoon.

“I think I was the only one that had heard the speech before he went into it,” she said. “I think it was just a perfect summary of 13 years. It was an incredible run he had as a player in the NFL.”

She also said her husband had been working on the speech for years.

“I’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years. This was a completely different version,” she said. “I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface. But when he said that he was contemplating retirement for years, he means for years.”

Kylie had a front row seat to her husband’s speech on Monday, including the portion in which he spoke about how they first met at an Eagles Christmas party.

“I still remember the moment she walked through the door. The first instance is burned in my retina. It was like she glided through the opening,” her husband said. “Then she started talking and I thought, ‘Man, is this what love feels like?’”

Kylie told NBC10 the moment made her emotional but also amused her.

“It cracks me up that he tries to talk about what he remembers from that night because he was, as I’ve said before, intoxicated,” she said. “It was very, very sweet. Very kind. It was far too much credit.”

Jason Kelce’s speech drew strong reactions from Eagles fans and NFL viewers in general.

“The outpouring of love and support is expected because I know who my husband is and the way he has conducted himself and how that has touched the lives of people,” Kylie said. “But at the same time, it’s still shocking.”

Jason Kelce has finally got his wife Kylie a wedding anniversary gift!

On the latest episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, released on Wednesday, May 8, Jason, 36, was asked about previously saying he hadn’t bought Kylie, 32, anything despite them celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary on April 14.

Travis, 34, previously suggested his brother should buy Kylie a sword, given the traditional wedding gift this year would be something made from iron.

Speaking on the new podcast episode, Jason confirmed, “We got the sword. Kylie loves it.”

As Travis questioned whether she did love it, the former Philadelphia Eagles player said, “I’m pretty sure. I think she does.”

“I’ve seen better. It’s not that sharp. But it’s for show, it’s a symbol,” Jason added of the sword, while Travis suggested he just “sharpen that thing up,” calling it a “nice a– sword.”

Jason revealed the sword is engraved with Kylie’s nickname. It reads, “Happy anniversary, Princess Kyana.”

The name is a mashup of Kylie and Princess Diana. It came about after Kylie modeled some retro Eagles gear including a green letterman jacket previously worn by the late royal.

While speaking about the sword, Travis joked that if there was a “Robert Durst situation” that sees Jason get killed in the basement, they’ll know it was Kylie.

“I’m just gonna be honest with you. If Kylie killed me with a sword, I had it coming to me. So no need to punish her,” Jason joked.

The sword suggestion came about last week after Jason and Travis’ mom, Donna, said on Today last month that “boys usually are not” good gift-givers on Mother’s Day.

“Don’t ask Kylie! I am a bad gift planner and giver,” Jason said at the time. “I can’t be good at dancing and be good at gift giving — I can only have one of those.”

“… I owe Kylie an anniversary gift,” he went on. “I’m almost a month post-due on that. We were doing the Cincinnati live show and it distracted me … I gotta come big with something.”

Jason and Kylie share three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth, 4, Elliotte Ray, 3, and 14-month-old Bennett Llewellyn.

It seems like Kylie is a the better gift giver in the family, as she revealed last month that she’d commissioned Georgia-based artist and woodworker Dana Theobald to create a custom wooden replica of Lincoln Financial Field to mark Jason’s retirement. He played at the stadium as the Eagles center for 13 seasons before announcing he was taking a step back.

In celebration of his Eagles retirement, a local Philadelphia company gives Jason Kelce a $7k SAXOPHONE

Jason Kelce was presented with an unexpected retirement gift during a charity golf outing on Monday: a saxophone.

The former Eagles center, who announced his retirement this offseason, played the instrument in high school and has spoken frequently about his affinity for music.

And with plenty more time on his hands after hanging up his cleats, Kelce will have a beautiful baritone saxophone to play, as seen in a video from Philly radio station WIP.

The sax was one from brand P. Mauriat, whose baritone saxophones sell for around $7,000.

Kelce was presented the gift by the Vincera Institute, a Philly orthopedic clinic, and exclaimed ‘This is nice!’ as he was handed the instrument.

Jason Kelce was gifted with a baritone saxophone at a charity event on Monday

‘I wanna get back into playing saxophone, I had not played in a while seriously,’ he said.

‘So maybe I’ll be able to walk down Broad Street with this thing this year.’

After Kelce was given the instrument, one of the event’s attendees played ‘Fly Eagles Fly’ on his own soprano saxophone for the crowd.

Kelce, along with Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham and former Eagles tight end Brent Celek raised money for Team IMPACT (which benefits children with serious illness and disabilities) at Philadelphia Country Club.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kelce was good enough to make the jazz band as a freshman in high school, before spending his final three years in the top wind ensemble.

Kelce, seen on Amazon Prime last season, will be joining ESPN as an NFL analyst

‘I consider a lot of my growth as a player and as a person happened learning the saxophone: being coached by conductors and teachers, reading sheet music and understanding how to practice by repeating the same thing over and over again and you see how much easier the song becomes,’ Kelce told the publication last year.

‘If you want to see how very cut-and-dry, how practice can cause you to improve, play an instrument. There’s not going to be anything more cut-and-dry. The first time you play the piano, you’re going to be pretty freaking bad. You’ll get better pretty quick just by practicing. The value of practice and the value in putting in extra time, all of that was taught from music.’

Kelce would go on to have a stellar 13-year career with the Eagles, featuring six All-Pro selections and one Super Bowl win.

In August, before the NFL season officially kicked off, Kelce sat down with his brother for an episode of their podcast in which the Philadelphia Eagles player asked his brother about the singer — subtly.

Days afterward, Kelce opened up about the exciting evening on his podcast.

“I’m enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend,” he said in an episode released Sept. 27.

“Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy,” Kelce admitted before adding, “I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light.”

He continued, “To see the slow motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with Mom, to see how, you know, Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there — that s— was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure.”

Jason Kelce shares how his wife Kylie feels about the anniversary sword he received

Jason Kelce is marking six years of marriage with an unconventional keepsake.

The Philadelphia Eagles alum followed through on an idea born during last week’s New Heights podcast taping with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce: gifting his wife, Kylie Kelce, an iron sword for their anniversary.

“We got the sword,” Jason updated fans on Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment. “Kylie loves it.”

He added, “I’m pretty sure. I think she does.”

Jason then displayed the item proudly for his brother, who declared it to be “a nice ass sword.”

“It’s really not,” Jason cracked. “I’ve seen better. It’s not that sharp, but it’s for show. It’s a symbol.”

The 36-year-old former athlete also shared the message he had engraved on the sword: “Happy Anniversary Princess Kyana.”

As usual, the NFL star siblings slipped into a fit of giggles as they speculated on what Kylie might use the sword for.

“If we have a Robert Durst situation going, we know what happened to Jason,” Travis said. “Jason got killed in the basement. Kylie did it in the basement with the iron sword. Like the movie, Clue.”

“I gotta be honest with you,” Jason replied. “If Kylie killed me with a sword, I had it coming to me. So, no need to punish her.”

He continued, laughing, “I think we can all safely assume that Jason was killed by Kylie. He had it coming. No investigation needed. Pass Go, collect $200, and move right along, ma’am.”

Jason and Kylie celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in April, but Jason admitted on last week’s podcast that he was late in getting her a gift.

“I owe Kylie an anniversary gift, I’m not gonna lie. I’m almost a month post-due on that,” he said at the time. “We were doing the Cincinnati live show and it distracted me. I gotta come big with something.”

Travis said, “I got faith in you.” Then, he was shocked to learn about the long-held tradition of giving gifts according to a specific theme for each year of marriage.

For a sixth anniversary, the traditional gift is one made of iron.

Excitement rising in his voice, Travis declared, “If you’ve gotta get her something iron, get her a sword, man! Make her a sword, Jason!”

Jason initially balked, saying, “I don’t think she’d be into it.”

Travis fired back, “It’s the thought, isn’t it? That’s what they all say. Something is better than nothing.”

Jason pondered that, replying, “That’s a good point. A sword is definitely better than what I’ve currently gotten her.” He then fired off a text message to his assistant to see if they’d be able to procure a customized sword on just 24 hours notice before the podcast episode went public.

    Apparently, they succeeded.

This week, Jason also followed up on Travis’ teammate, Patrick Mahomes, stating in a recent interview that he couldn’t keep up with the Kelce brothers’ drinking antics.

“I used to, I think, and then I had kids,” Patrick quipped on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.

“I’m calling bulls**t,” Jason fired back on his show. “Pat can keep up. He knows he can. He’s playing coy right here. Everybody knows, especially if it’s Coors Light, nobody’s keeping up with  Pat.”

Travis chimed in, “Listen, I’ve seen that man literally drink bars out of Coors. Literally. Like, ‘Ah, we gotta run to the store and get some more. We didn’t think that we were gonna run out of these things.’ But Pat Mahomes has done it twice now.”

Travis also took a shot at Patrick’s physique, joking, “Your body don’t look like that for nothing, Pat. That dad bod. It don’t look like that for nothing.”

Patrick also said on Impaulsive that “Jason has kids, too, so he has to pick and choose, but when he chooses, he can go.”

Jason responded on Wednesday, calling both points “very true.”

Patrick is dad to 3-year-old daughter Sterling and 1-year-old son Bronze with his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

Jason shares three daughters — 4-year-old Wyatt, 3-year-old Elliotte, and 1-year-old Bennett — with Kylie.

  • Reason why Michael Jordan wore number 23 – and why he switched to 45

Reason why Michael Jordan wore number 23 – and why he switched to 45

    Michael Jordan 23

Michael Jordan is the name back on sports fans’ lips following the release – and universal success – of hit Netflix series The Last Dance.

The show details the rise of Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the early 90s, culminating in an electrifying ‘last dance’ season as the team approached the end of their glory days together.

Not only was Jordan a success on the court, but he became a global phenomenon off it with surging Air Jordan shoe sales and his iconic Number 23 seared into NBA fans’ minds – but why did he wear 23 and why did he switch numbers?

Why did Michael Jordan wear number 23?

Jordan took up the number 23 jersey from an early age dating back to his time at Laney High School. His older brother Larry was already on the team with the number 45, so Jordan simply halved the number to reach 23 – with the help of a little rounding up.

He continued to don the 23 for the University of North Carolina where he made a name for himself and ultimately earned a shot at the NBA in 1984.

Michael Jordan volta ao basquete e ao Chicago Bulls – efemérides do éfemello

He joined the Bulls and kept his shirt number for nine years, though he was forced to wear number 12 for a game after his traditional jersey went missing prior to a game.

Why did Michael Jordan switch to number 45?

Jordan retired from the NBA in October 1993 following the murder of his father several months earlier. He stated that he had lost the desire to play the game and couldn’t continue. He went on to play Minor League Baseball for a spell.

The Bulls retired the number 23 shirt in honour of Jordan in 1994, but he pulled another shock move. “I’m back” declared Jordan as he returned for the final stretch of the 1994/95 season. He wore the number 45 during that season, his brother Larry’s old number.

However, following a couple of uncharacteristic errors, a famous Magic Johnson quote: “No. 45 doesn’t explode like No. 23 used to” inspired Jordan to return to his old number 23, and silenced the critics with a dazzling end to his career.

  • LeBron James claims Michael Jordan wouldn’t average 50 in today’s NBA

LeBron James claims Michael Jordan wouldn’t average 50 in today’s NBA

    LeBron James & Michael Jordan

Today’s NBA has its fair share of critics primarily because the league has leaned heavily towards the offensive side of the ball. Whereas games in the past typically ended with scores hovering around the 100-point mark, it’s not unusual to see teams near the century mark at halftime of some games.

In between a million foul calls and enough three-pointers to make Steph Curry’s head spin, many fans have wondered how some of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, like Michael Jordan, would fare in today’s era.

On an appearance on the “Road Trippin’” podcast, James weighed in, boldly declaring Jordan wouldn’t average 50 points as many believe he would if he were playing in today’s NBA.

Think somebody would average 50 is disrespectful

LeBron is a student of the game. He knows its history and the players who paved the way for the modern era of basketball. So when he says that it’s disrespectful to assume Jordan would average 50 points, people should take note.

With advancements in training, nutrition, and technology, today’s players are bigger, faster, and stronger. The game’s pace has also increased significantly, with teams focusing on speed and three-point shooting rather than traditional post-up and isolation plays.

So, while Jordan was undoubtedly one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, assuming he could score more than he did in his era may be unfair to the players currently dominating the game.

“There’s nobody that’s gonna average 50 in our league,” LeBron shared.

“That’s just disrespectful, no matter how great you were in your era and how great you are to play in any era. If that’s the case, I believe guys will average 50 in their era, the era that they played in.”

    Could MJ pull it off?

However, betting against Jordan to not accomplish such a feat would be unwise. Known for his fierce competitiveness and unparalleled work ethic, Jordan always found a way to elevate his game and achieve greatness.

In addition, Jordan’s era was much more physical and defense-oriented, and rules now favor offensive players. This could potentially raise his scoring ability. Ultimately, it’s all speculation, as we can never truly compare players from different eras.

    Jordan/James

Basketball analysts are furiously debating who’d win a fantasy game of H-O-R-S-E between LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

The NBA and ESPN are reportedly in talks about airing a H-O-R-S-E competition featuring some of the NBA’s biggest stars.

Players would compete in the shooting contest while remaining in isolation and would go head-to-head in a “traditional playground” format.

And while is it yet unknown which players would take part in the proposed tournament, the news has analysts speculating as to how two of the sport’s greatest ever, James and Jordan, would fare against each other.

Skip Bayless, host of the show “Undisputed” of Fox Sports, says Jordan would be the winner with ease.

“This would be a complete and utter mismatch,” he said on Twitter. “This would be epic. I believe LeBron would lose this competition H-O-R-S-E to zero.

“LeBron would get no letters on Michael. It would be a wipeout.”

Shannon Sharpe, Bayless’ co-host, disagreed however, saying he would back James for the win instead.

“LeBron is a better 3-point shooter,” he said. “MJ shot 24% his last in year Chicago, even the great Lonzo Ball has a higher 3-point % than that!

“LeBron has more playoff buzzer beaters & clutch shots than MJ. In their prime, I’m taking Bron.”

  • LeBron James Says He And Michael Jordan Would Be The Perfect Teammates

LeBron James Says He And Michael Jordan Would Be The Perfect Teammates

    Fadeaway World

Everybody is talking right now about who is the greatest player of all time. Nowadays, that question comes down to two names normally, Michael Jordan and LeBron James. After Jordan’s docu-series ‘The Last Dance’ premiered exactly one month ago, the GOAT debate got another dimension, with everybody around the league making the case for their favorite player.

As much as people try to carry on the narrative of LeBron vs. Jordan, the current Los Angeles Lakers star sees Michael both as a rival and teammate. During a recent interview with Uninterrupted, James tried to explain how good his game would fit alongside MJ in the great 90s Chicago Bulls.

“Me personally, the way I play the game — team first — I feel like my best assets work perfectly with Mike,” James said. “Mike is an assassin. When it comes to playing the game of basketball, scoring the way he scored the ball, [then] my ability to pass, my ability to read the game plays and plays and plays in advance.”

“I saw the things [Scottie Pippen] was able to do with Mike. I just think it would’ve been a whole nother level,” James said. “Pip was one of my favorite players … It would’ve been a whole nother level with me being a point forward, with me being that point forward alongside of him during those Chicago runs.”

Moreover, Bron claimed he’d also love to compete not only versus Jordan but other great names in the history of the game. He corrected an ESPN’s article saying he ‘envisioned’ Jordan as a teammate, saying he was only answering a question before he made it clear he’d love to go against MJ and some other legends.

“No I didn’t say I envisioned MJ as a teammate not an adversary. A question was asked “Do I think I could have been a teammate of his and compliment his game”. I love the greats and would have loved to play with them all during their runs because I a historian of the game but I also would die to compete vs every single one of them too! Don’t ever get it twisted! 👑. Nevertheless MJ Thank You for being my angel, inspiration, superhero!!”

He still made the case for him playing alongside Jordan and Pippen under Phil Jackson. One always imagines who would win a hypothetical matchup between Bron and Jordan, but imagine how fun would it be to see James sharing touches with MJ, leading the Bulls to be even more successful than they were two decades ago.

  • Ray Allen Chooses Michael Jordan As The GOAT Over LeBron James

Ray Allen Chooses Michael Jordan As The GOAT Over LeBron James

Ray Allen Chooses Michael Jordan As The GOAT Over LeBron James

In the perpetual debate surrounding the greatest basketball player of all time, Ray Allen recently shared his preference for Michael Jordan over LeBron James. Drawing from his personal experience playing against both iconic players, Allen firmly asserted that, in his view, Jordan stands out as the superior player.

“Playing against him and MJ, for me it’s MJ all day long… LeBron is probably one of the best passers that the league has seen. MJ, that’s probably the weakest part of his game… But at the same time, MJ didn’t have any other weaknesses.”

While acknowledging LeBron James’ exceptional passing skills, Allen pointed out what he perceives as a weakness in Michael Jordan’s game—the aspect of passing. However, Allen promptly countered this observation by noting that Jordan’s overall game lacks significant shortcomings, setting him apart in terms of overall excellence.

This viewpoint underscores the ongoing discussion in the basketball community, where fans and experts weigh various factors to determine the greatest player in NBA history. LeBron James is often praised for his versatility, encompassing scoring, passing, and rebounding, while Michael Jordan is celebrated for his unmatched competitiveness, scoring prowess, and clutch performances.

Ray Allen’s choice reflects the sentiment that, despite any specific skill deficiencies, Michael Jordan’s comprehensive excellence and impact on the game make him a standout figure. The discourse on the NBA’s greatest player remains a subjective and passionate topic, with each era contributing legendary talents to the rich tapestry of basketball history.

Allen Iverson Names Michael Jordan As The GOAT, Puts LeBron James At 3

In the ongoing debate over the greatest basketball player of all time, Allen Iverson recently shared his perspective, placing Michael Jordan at the pinnacle of the sport and designating Kobe Bryant as the second-best player in NBA history. Notably, Iverson positioned LeBron James at the third spot in his rankings.

Iverson praised Kobe Bryant’s unparalleled competitiveness and cited instances where Kobe actively sought challenging defensive assignments, showcasing an unmatched level of determination. Despite not matching Michael Jordan’s numerous accolades, Bryant’s commitment and fervor on the court left an indelible mark on Iverson, solidifying his position as the second-best player in Iverson’s view.

Kobe Bryant’s career, marked by 18 All-Star selections, five championships, and two Finals MVP awards, showcased an unwavering work ethic and an unparalleled dedication to excellence. Although some critics may point to Bryant not always being the primary star on his team, Iverson emphasized the impact of Kobe’s work ethic, noting that he consistently outplayed his competition through sheer hard work.

LeBron James, currently a dominant force in the NBA, was positioned by Iverson at the third spot in the all-time rankings. While acknowledging James’ impressive resume, including four championships, 19 All-Star selections, and his standing as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, Iverson emphasized that LeBron comes after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in his personal hierarchy.

The ongoing evolution of the GOAT debate remains a compelling narrative in basketball discourse. LeBron James, with his sustained excellence and statistical achievements, continues to challenge traditional perspectives on the greatest player in NBA history. However, for Allen Iverson and others who appreciate the intangibles and competitive spirit, the debate remains nuanced, with each legend leaving an indelible mark on the history of the game.
