LeBron James admits ‘I’ve never seen that before’ after little-known rule leads to controversial decision in Lakers loss

Lakers called a successful challenge but ended up losing points after it

LEBRON James admitted he had never seen a controversial decision like the one that was made in Saturday’s chaotic showdown.

James scored 40 points for the Los Angeles Lakers in a losing effort against the Golden State Warriors.

But the game descended into chaos after a shot clock malfunction led to a 20-minute delay.

The final moments of Saturday’s clash at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California seemed to last an eternity.

It wasn’t helped by a string of replay reviews – one of which resulted in the Lakers losing points.

With 1:50 to play and Los Angeles down by four points, coach Darvin Ham challenged an out-of-bounds call.

The Warriors were given possession after Jaxson Hayes and Andrew Wiggins both went for a rebound.

Ham won the challenge and a jump ball was called for by officials.

But, while that play was being reviewed, so was another one from earlier.

Officials determined that James stepped out of bounds on a three-point shot with 2:07 to play.

So, although the Lakers won the out-of-bounds challenge, they ended up having three points chalked off the board.

“I’ve never seen that be called before like that in that particular time,” James admitted afterwards.

LeBron James labeled a ‘smart man’ by Undisputed guest live on Fox Sports after viral Jeanie Buss moment

“That was kind of weird. It took some momentum away from us.

“I didn’t believe I stepped on the line, obviously. I knew how much space I had over there.

“And when I shoot, I shoot on my tippy toes, so it’s kind of hard for me to have a heel down.”

Crew chief David Guthrie explained the little-known rule after Saturday’s incident-packed game.

He said, “James’ left foot is out of bounds as he begins to shoot.

“Yes, it is reviewable at that time. The rule is Rule 13, Section II(f)(3): Whether the shooter committed a boundary line violation, the replay center official will only look at the position of the player’s feet at the moment they touch the floor immediately prior to the release of the shot.

“This can be applied during other replay triggers as well.”

Golden State went on to secure a 128-121 victory to leapfrog Los Angeles into ninth place in the Western Conference.

This majestic estate, once owned by Hugh Hefner and Katharine Hepburn, was acquired by James from its recent owners, Lee Phillip Bell, co-creator of “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Built in the 1930s, this Mediterranean-style mansion, set on 2.5 acres of land with stunning views of Los Angeles, has undergone several updates and renovations. The luxurious property includes a main house of up to 9,100 square feet, with eight bathrooms, four bedrooms, and two suites. It also features vaulted ceilings, seven fireplaces, a home theater, several entertainment areas, and sliding glass doors for an impressive indoor-outdoor flow.

Including not one, but two separate guest houses, LeBron’s luxurious Beverly Hills property also boasts an illuminated tennis court, a pool house with two bathrooms, a large swimming pool, a driveway with palm trees in a dramatic private setting, fitting for the King James.

Another mansion LeBron purchased in 2017 in Brentwood, Los Angeles, for $23.5 million. This property is located in a highly desirable, upscale area with picturesque views, and it’s a new build, so it features a modern style with marble finishes throughout. It spans 15,846 square feet and includes eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from central Los Angeles.

Known for his masterful design and lighting, the mansion blends a warm, traditional exterior with modern European finishes, including 14-foot ceilings, antique marble countertops, floors, and walls, as well as a pleasing color palette, mostly white.

The luxurious living space in Brentwood, Los Angeles, is designed to let nature flow into the interiors. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and windows provide natural air. The living spaces also feature a very refined selection of modern and stylish decor, perfectly suited to each room to enhance its overall atmosphere.

The mansion has a well-lit, stylish, yet minimalist kitchen. It dazzles with exquisite French kitchen appliances with modern black-and-white marble countertops. Additionally, brass lighting fixtures, oak floors, and kitchen cabinets add aesthetic charm.

Moreover, the property features a luxurious bedroom with a royal touch thanks to the enormous bed and plush decor. Wooden flooring and white walls create contrast in the room. But, as in the living room and kitchen, the crowning aspect of this bedroom is the well-lit seating area with wicker tables and a curved beanbag sofa. Large artworks round off the design with an exquisite touch.

Designed for entertainment, this home is equipped with many high-end amenities, such as extensive illuminated space with a fully soundproofed home theater with a professional sound system and a huge screen. It also includes a wine cellar for 1,500 bottles and a smoking room with air purification technology.

As if spaces for entertaining friends and family weren’t enough, the home also features an onyx bar and a well-equipped game room with a billiards table.

The mansion has a fully furnished indoor and outdoor gym, half in the house and half outside. It is directly connected to a spa with a shower, steam room, sauna, and massage room.

Outside LeBron James’s home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, there is a huge terrace with marble floors, overlooking green fields. There’s a huge swimming pool and another spa, located next to the outdoor kitchen, which includes a barbecue and beer tap. Additionally, a private driveway adorned with 100-year-old imported Seville olive trees leads to an extensive cobblestone parking area.

LeBron is not only known for luxurious homes; he also possesses an elite car collection. Rolls Royce-Cullinan, Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, Ferrari 458 Spider, Porsche 918 Spyder, Mercedes Maybach 57S—just some of the supercars owned by James. In 2023, Clutchpoints estimated LeBron’s NBA legend car fleet, which consists of about a dozen different cars, at four and a half million dollars.

James also spends enough on taking care of his body. Rumor has it, he spends over $1.5 million a year on it. One way he takes care of his body is by using a controversial cryotherapy chamber to relieve pain and muscle recovery. Additionally, he hires a former Navy SEAL, who serves as his biomechanist, recovery coach, personal chefs, and massage therapists.

LeBron James’ dream home in Beverly Hills mansion haunted by alleged squatters nearby, charges $75 entry fee to the chaos

LeBron James’ dream house neighborhood in Beverly Hills has become the center of daily chaos since October 2023. As per Daily Mail, ‘squatters’ in a mansion, which is only two doors away from the LA Lakers’ star dream house, have been creating havoc with rave parties in the neighborhood area all day long.

Things have reportedly gotten so much out of hand that the police have been unable to put it under control. Reportedly, the party starts after 2 AM and runs morning. Since it started, there have been alleged occasions of fire breakouts, assaults and multiple arrests from the buildings.

Meanwhile, the squatters are even advertising the rooms in the $2.3 million-worth mansion on Booking.com, renting each room for $300 per night. The house has four bedrooms and is spread over 5,857 sq ft. Moreover, the party-goers in the mansion allegedly have to pay $75 as an entry fee to the party.

James’ house manager told Daily Mail he had to put security guards at the property because of the squatters.

‘I’ve heard from my security team up there about all the crazy cars, crazy parties at night, how we’re not able to get into our property sometimes because they’re blocking the street with their cars, and just the nuisance at night with the loud music and people floating out to the streets,’ he said.

Police have reportedly tried to vacate the premises, however, the occupants have shown valid tenant agreement. The property agent for the mansion has denied the validity of the papers, however, the police haven’t been able to legally vacate the premises.

The mansion reportedly belonged to Dr. Munir Uwaydah, who fled the country following allegations of murdering his girlfriend in 2013. He was under investigation. The property is now under his mortgage lender and they have hired people to investigate into the squatters.

The area is home to some notable people in the entertainment business, from singer John Legend to Entourage and Ballers producer Steve Levinson. Billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Ron Burkle live less than half a mile away from LeBron James’ house.

Details about LeBron James’ dream house in Beverley Hills

LeBron James became the first ever currently-active basketball player to become a billionaire. He is currently worth a billion dollars by Forbes and remains the richest active player in the league.

James has played for over two decades in the league and has owned many homes across different cities in America. However, his new home in Beverley Hills will reportedly be the most memorable one and also the biggest of all. He purchased the property in 2020.

The LA Lakers star’s new mansion reportedly cost $36.8 million and will feature 10,000 square feet of living space, while having a total of 2.5 acres of property. The property was originally built in 1934 and was home to the famous actress Audrey Hepburn. However, James took the permission to demolish the old house and build a new one for himself.

The house in Beverley Hills will include four bedrooms, two suites, eight bathrooms, a pool, a pool house and a tennis court.

LeBron James enjoys tender moment with wife Savannah in front of Bronny’s USC

LeBron James and his high school sweetheart, Savanah, enjoyed a tender moment together while sitting courtside as the loved-up couple watched their eldest son, Bronny, record no points in USC’s 72-64 loss to Washington State in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old Lakers superstar and his wife, who is two years younger than him, looked as if they had forgotten about the game at one point in the second half of Wednesday’s game at the Galen Center, as Savannah passionately looked at LeBron while engaged in conversation.

She was later seen patting her husband’s head while wearing a chic black bucket hat, after he took off a baseball cap designed by his brand, UNINTERRUPTED.

LeBron, who donned a stylish cyan raincoat for the midweek game, also had some popcorn while Bronny put up just two rebounds and an assist in 15 minutes of action, with the Trojans now 8-8 overall and ranking eighth in PAC-12 standings.

The 19-year-old guard is still making his way back from cardiac arrest suffered at a USC practice session in late July. It was later revealed that the health scare had been caused by a congenital heart defect.

Bronny James – a 19-year-old guard for USC – had no points, but got two rebounds and an assist

Less than five months later, Bronny made his collegiate debut for the Trojans on Dec. 10, finishing with four points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block off the bench in USC’s shocking 84-79 defeat to Long Beach State.

Chris Paul’s godson has gone on to average 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists, shooting 41 percent from the field, in eight games played, so far, this season.

In contrast, LeBron has proven once again this year that age is just a number, as he is averaging 25.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 34.6 minutes of action for the ninth-seed Lakers (19-19). That’s just 2.1 points more than his career average of points per game.

Bronny is still working his way back from cardiac arrest as he suffered the health scare in July

The four-time NBA champion will next gear up in purple and gold on Thursday to play the Phoenix Suns in L.A.

The late-night game (10 p.m. ET start) promises to live up to its hype as LeBron will take on the Suns’ All-Star trio of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker.

The Suns are just ranked a seed higher than the Lakers at No. 8 in the West with a 19-18 record.

The Lakers will then travel to Salt Lake City to play the Utah Jazz (19-20) at Delta Center.

LeBron James storms off court after latest LA Lakers defeat as fans tell NBA legend ‘he’s a problem, it’s embarrassing’

NBA fans slammed LeBron James after he stormed off the court after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 127-109 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

The four-time NBA champion headed to the locker room without shaking anyone’s hands after Thursday’s blowout loss.

Phoenix dominated Los Angeles in the primetime clash, leading by as many as 32 points.

As the tough night went on, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham benched James, Anthony Davis, and Austin Reaves.

When the buzzer rang for the final time, TNT cameras caught the upset LeBron – already in street clothes – heading straight to the tunnel without congratulating Kevin Durant and Co. for the victory.

An NBA fan pointed out his reaction was drastically different from when the Lakers beat the Suns early on October 26, posting a clip of him hugging Durant after the win in a social media post.

And others rushed to criticize the 19-time All-Star for his actions.

“This is what he does. It is unprofessional and so disrespectful to the competition and the game,” one wrote.

“I do not respect him as a champion because of his grace in failure. He will never be the GOAT. He is just a great ball player that had discipline to extend his career,”

    Another added: “Sore loser lol.”

A third said: “A simple handshake would suffice!”

And one wrote: “Wow. I keep tellin yall Bron is the problem on this team. All Bron care about is Bron. Embarrassing.”

James registered 10 points on 3-for-11 from the field (27.3%) in addition to five rebounds, nine assists, and a steal.

Bradley Beal was red-hot on Thursday, scoring a season-high 37 points on 66.7% shooting.

Beal went 8-for-10 from downtown, falling one triple short of tying his career-high in 3-pointers made in a single game.

Devin Booker added 31 points while Durant scored 18 in a huge night for Phoenix’s Big 3.

The Lakers slipped under .500 on the season again due to the loss.

They would approach the Saturday clash against the Utah Jazz with a 19-20 record.

  • LeBron James’ Reaction to C.J. Stroud’s Dominant Postseason Debut Is Going Viral

LeBron James’ Reaction to C.J. Stroud’s Dominant Postseason Debut Is Going Viral

The Houston Texans are heading to divisional round in the AFC after defeating the Cleveland Browns 45-14 on Saturday.

Houston, led by rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, took control of today’s game after two third-quarter pick-sixes by Browns signal caller Joe Flacco. But it was Stroud, who went 16-of-21 through the air for 274 yards and three touchdowns, that first put Houston in position to win today’s wild-card matchup.

After the clock struck zero, NBA superstar LeBron James took to social media to share some love to the former Ohio State standout.

“BEEN HIM!!! H-TOWN got 1 of them ones!” James replied to a tweet from former NFL wideout Dez Bryant.

James, a fan of both Ohio State and the Browns, might’ve been a little torn seeing his NFL team taste defeat in the playoffs against his favorite college squad’s former star quarterback.

With the Lakers’ veteran ruled out tonight against the Jazz, NFL fans could get a few more reactionary tweets before the end of Saturday’s wild-card slate.

  • Bryce’s Decline Continues Amid Father LeBron James and Bronny’s Mega-Deal With $31 Billion Worth Company

Bryce’s Decline Continues Amid Father LeBron James and Bronny’s Mega-Deal With $31 Billion Worth Company

Fanatics CEO gave fans a celebratory moment upon receiving a limited edition Topps card with King James and his son, Bronny’s signature. It was a revolution across the trading card industry when King James and his elder son got on board with the exclusive trading card deal with the organization. Both would now appear on autographed 1-of-1 cards. It may be assumed that it would add to their individual NIL and enhance familial bonds, but as it turns out, Bryce’s NIL is dropping still!

Bryce James is witnessing a major decline in his NIL value. By any means, it is not a small number! His 2.4K decline comes despite him being one of the most valued high-school athletes on the entire list, with an NIL value of approximately $1.2 million. When last accessed around New Year’s time, the decline was already at 2K.

Bryce’s NIL value is more than highly touted basketball prospects like Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper. On 12th December 2022, Bryce signed a NIL contract with Klutch Sports, which is owned by LeBron’s close friend and agent, Rich Paul. In fact, back in August 2023, according to Bleacher Report, his valuation stood at 13th among all college or high school athletes, thanks in large part to his association with his father.

    via Imago

Bryce ranks as the 17th most valued college or high-school athlete. However, it is his brother, Bronny, who leads the list, with a NIL value of $5.2 million. However, many scouts believe that Bryce is a better prospect than his older brother. The 16-year-old already has scholarship offers from prestigious colleges like Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Kansas. The hype generated around Bryce would certainly increase his NIL value once he commits to a college. However, he will be disappointed about the fact that he couldn’t collaborate with his brother and father on the Fanatics project.

    LeBron’s multi-year contract with Fanatics

Fanatics, a sports merchandising company, is valued at a mind-boggling $31 billion after it raised approximately $700 million in December 2022. The company took another massive step in the right direction, as they have signed a multi-year contract with NBA superstar, LeBron James. The agreement gives Fanatics a chance to capitalize on LeBron’s illustrious career, and their impact could increase tenfold once LeBron retires.

In a statement released by LeBron after agreeing to the deal, LeBron said, “As someone who appreciates all the moments — big and small — along the journey, I’m excited to share more with my fans through this partnership with Fanatics.” Apart from getting LeBron on board, Fanatics will also replace Panini as the NBA’s official partner from 2026.

  • NBA Player Says Lakers Are Asking ‘Too Much’ from LeBron James: ‘They Need a Lot’

NBA Player Says Lakers Are Asking ‘Too Much’ from LeBron James: ‘They Need a Lot’

    Ronald Martinez/Getty Images

The Los Angeles Lakers’ underwhelming roster once again has players around the league saying LeBron James needs help.

“It’s just too much on Bron right now,” one player told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “Everyone is just going to pack the paint and try to frustrate him because they need a lot. Speed. Playmaking. Shooting.”

The Lakers are 20-21 heading into Wednesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks and have looked like a team in desperate need of a retooling all season. Coach Darvin Ham has shuffled through several different starting lineups, with James, Anthony Davis and Taurean Prince being the only mainstays.

Ham went back to his Opening Night lineup, featuring James, Davis, Prince, D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves, ahead of Monday’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Lakers held Oklahoma City to 41.7 percent from the floor, leading Ham to indicate that the starting five is here to stay.

“Just wanted to put as much skill and shot-making on the floor around our two captains,” Ham told reporters. “And those five, they’ve been pretty much our most consistent guys throughout the season thus far. So just put them together.

“For the foreseeable future, that’s going to be our lineup, barring any type of injury.”

The Lakers were active at last year’s trade deadline, acquiring Russell, Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt to revamp their rotation. The midseason roster shuffle wound up paying dividends, with the Lakers reaching the Western Conference Finals, but it has not translated into long-term success in the regular season.

The Lakers have been linked to Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray and Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine ahead of this deadline, and it might take a blockbuster to turn things around for the second straight season.

As it stands, James will be in a familiar place of having to shoulder the majority of the load

“Absolute best”: LeBron James compares his relationship with Savannah to Kendrick Lamar and Whitney Alford’s

LeBron James married Savannah James in 2013, and the LA Lakers legend who has always been vocal about his relationship, has now compared it to that of rapper Kendrick Lamar and his partner Whitney Alford. The 4x NBA champion took to Instagram to share a story of Lamar’s message for Alford, and tagged Savannah to suggest similarities between the two couples. In all, it just showed how much ‘The King’ values his wife as he also shared a simple yet wholesome caption along with it.

Lamar had captioned his post with a before and after image with Alford, saying that growing rich with the same partner he was broke with, was “the best feeling,” and James echoed his sentiment.

LeBron James took to IG to share a wholesome message for his wife Savannah

Savannah James has been by him since high school. The couple from Akron share three children: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., Bryce Maximus, and Zhuri Nova. As the league’s leading scorer’s career rose meteorically through the years, he made it abundantly clear that he’d be “absolutely nothing” without his “queen,” whom he hailed as a constant source of love and support.

“I knew he loved me”- When Savannah revealed how she realized that LeBron James had fallen for her

In a 2010 interview with Harpers Bazaar, Savannah was asked about the moment she realized that James had fallen for her. She recalled the time when the 39-year-old would regularly drop in to see her.

“I knew he loved me when I left my leftovers from dinner in his car. I’d totally forgotten about them, and he brought them to me. I think he just wanted another excuse to come and see me.”

The couple have been going strong since. The last time was when Savannah featured in the latest Beats commercial, encouraging LeBron James to prove his detractors wrong in his 21st season in the NBA.

Like LeBron James and Savannah, Kendrick Lamar and Whitney Alford are high-school sweethearts

Kendrick Lamar has been linked to his fiancée Whitney Alford for quite a few years now, and like James and Savannah, the duo have been together since they were teenagers. They share two children — a daughter, Uzi, and their son, Enoch.

Lamar and Alford met when they were students at Centennial High School in Compton, California. They were friends before they started dating, and have been together since. However, the two have been private about their personal life. They made an appearance together during the Grammy’s in 2014. On his part, the rapper has always put snippets of her in his songs, most notably in “She Needs Me” and “Determined.”
