The Lakers sυperstar discυssed his oпgoiпg NBA joυrпey iп his 21st seasoп at the age of 39 caпdidly ackпowledgiпg the challeпges aпd limitatioпs that come with advaпciпg age iп professioпal basketball, via the Miпd the Game podcast, which he co-hosted with former NBA player JJ Redick.

“Caп I do it every пight? I doп’t waппa say I caп do it for a whole game,” James said. “I meaп, I’ll take the challeпge for sυre, bυt I’m a competitor, I was borп that way, I was taυght that way.”

“I’ll f**kiпg, I’ll die oп the coυrt becaυse I jυst love it so mυch,” James coпtiпυed. “Am I beiпg realistic? I gotta pick my spots. Defiпitely gotta pick my spots.”

Despite beiпg the all-time leadiпg scorer,  James has пever solely focυsed oп scoriпg. He is widely recogпized as oпe of the greatest facilitators iп basketball history, aпd his selfless style of play has elevated the performaпce of пυmeroυs players who have had the privilege of shariпg the coυrt with him.

“I love seeiпg the sυccess of my teammates more thaп aпythiпg,” said James.

“I pick my spots, hey D-Lo yoυ got it, AR yoυ got it, it meaпs a lot.”

Pickiпg his spots is a commoп practice for seasoпed players like James, who have logged sigпificaпt miпυtes iп their careers. What’s crυcial for his teammates is the trυst he iпstills iп them, exemplified by his reliaпce oп players like Reaves.

“Last year iп the Memphis series, AR gaiпed a lot of trυst from me, bυt also had trυst iп him to make the plays,” James пoted. “Iп the foυrth qυarter, I was like, AR go wiп it for υs,”

A chaпge of approach for the Kiпg

Over the past two seasoпs, especially dυriпg pivotal momeпts iп games, James has showп a readiпess to delegate ball-haпdliпg respoпsibilities to teammates sυch as Aυstiп Reaves aпd D’Aпgelo Rυssell. This tactical adaptatioп eпables him to coпserve eпergy while remaiпiпg a valυable coпtribυtor to his team’s sυccess.

Iп additioп to haпdliпg his physical limitatioпs,  James is also coпscioυs of his role iп the Lakers’ playoff ambitioпs. • Had to Double It: Stephen Curry’s Heartwarming Interaction With His ‘Twins’ Is Captivating the Internet

Had to Double It: Stephen Curry’s Heartwarming Interaction With His ‘Twins’ Is Captivating the Internet

    USA Today via Reuters

Stephen Curry has been enjoying a turbulent offseason. Whether it is preparing for his golf match or navigating the front-office upheaval in the Bay, the star has enjoyed an eventful few weeks. This time, last year, Curry was on top of the world. Winning his 4th championship in 7 years, the Warriors dynasty began anew. However, in one season, the entire script has flipped. The chemistry has gone awry, the trio might lose one of its wheels, and the GM has resigned. But, if you ask Steph, as long as he is there, the championship window is open. While turmoil plagues the team and its front office, Curry’s trademark celebration has gone viral.

Amidst the uncertainty, who is Steph Curry celebrating with? And what did the fans have to say about it?

Stephen Curry and his daughter, Riley, have the fans’ attention

Steph’s bond with his family is well-documented. Whether it be his pops, Dell Curry, mom, Sonya, or his wife, Ayesha, Curry is a family man. But the essence of his bond could not be more prevalent than with his children.

    via Imago

Whether it be incorporating them into his pre-game warmup, his sizzling chemistry on Family Feud, or trademark handshakes, their bond is inseparable. The bond was visible, all the way back in 2015. During the Conference Finals, Curry was among the first to bring their children to the press conference podium. The move earned him severe backlash from sports pundits, like Nick Wright. Back then, 3-year-old Riley was just a cute figure sitting on her dad’s lap.

Now, she, along with younger sister Ryan, is evolving into an active cheerleader during Steph’s games. Any time in attendance, Steph has made it a habit to share a handshake with the two. The Warriors’ social media handle posted the handshake and fans went gaga over the adorable bond between the two.

While the scenes in the Warriors camp may be uneasy, Curry has his family, and his children to fall back on. Looking at the reactions on the post, it’s safe to say that fans loved watching Steph with his daughters.

    Fans praise the Curry clan

One fan went gaga over Riley’s cuteness, citing it as the reason alone for Steph to have another one. “Had to double it!” as he captioned it. Another fan was quick to point out Cannon, his son, doing the iconic celebration from last year’s championship run. “Canon with the Night night.” One user pointed out the fact that they all look so familiar. “Twins,” wrote a fan with multiple heart emojis.

Fans were quick to remember Riley’s memorable interview appearance. “She has gotten so big! Where did the days of interview bombing go? ” Another fan echoed the same sentiments of Riley seemingly overnight growing up. “Aw Riley’s so grown now.” Fans were, of course, going gaga over the relationship the trio share with their father. “I love the way he bonds with each of them so special!!!! “

While the season and the off-season might take a toll on our star athletes, it is heartwarming to see the connection between them and their loved ones.

Glimpse into the Enchanting Lives of Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry’s Three Delightful Children

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry have a busy household, but they enjoy sharing special moments of their children with their fans. The couple got married in July 2011 and welcomed their first child, daughter Riley, the next year. In 2015, Riley became a big sister when Ryan was born, and in 2018, their family grew again with the arrival of baby brother Canon.

Since becoming parents, the couple have been amazed by how much they can accomplish in a day. Ayesha joked in an interview with Parents magazine in 2016 that she feels like she should have invented something. She also mentioned that it’s a big achievement to get the whole family out of the house at once. When they manage to get in the car with everything they need and everyone wearing socks, it feels like a dream come true.

The author of Full Plate also praised her husband’s parenting skills, highlighting that she loves how he is willing to get down on the floor and play with their daughters. She mentioned that he doesn’t shy away from putting on dress-up clothes if needed and is very patient, which is something she struggles with. Ayesha emphasized that they balance each other out in their parenting journey.

They couple revealed in March 2024 that they were expecting baby No. 4.

King of the 40-Point Club: Kevin Durant Does What Jordan and Kobe Couldn’t

Kevin Durant lived up to his nickname “Easy Money Sniper” on Sunday night, putting on a shooting clinic against the Indiana Pacers. The Phoenix Suns forward poured in a staggering 40 points, all without attempting a single free throw. Durant’s efficiency was off the charts, connecting on 18 of his 25 field goal attempts, including 4 three-pointers.

This incredible performance etched Durant’s name in a unique category of scorers. Even all-time greats like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kobe Bryant never managed to score 40 points in a game without a free throw attempt.

Kevin Durant has a stat line even Jordan or Bryant never achieved

While Curry did come close when he dropped 39 against the Charlotte Hornets in February 2017, the Warriors star has never crossed the 40-point mark without a free throw attempt either.

According to StatMuse, Jamal Murray’s 50-point outburst against the Cleveland Cavaliers in February 2021 remains the most points scored by a player without a free throw attempt, followed by Hakeem Olajuwon (48), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (48) and Klay Thompson (44). Thompson is the only player in NBA history with three such games.

Durant, 35, also became the oldest player in NBA history to score 40 points without a free throw attempt, surpassing the previous record set by Olajuwon.

Fun fact: tonight KD became the oldest player with zero free throw attempts in a 40-point game.

35 years old — Kevin Durant

34 years old — Hakeem Olajuwon

33 years old — Rick Barry

While Durant is not currently in the NBA’s MVP discussion, the Suns forward has quietly averaged 29.2 points while shooting a career-high 47 percent from the three-point arc.

The Suns — plagued with injuries for the better part of the season — are currently on a five-game winning streak and just half a game behind the New Orleans Pelicans for the fifth seed.

Sharing rare pictures you’ve never seen before of Giannis Antetokounmpo and his family ‎

Presently, the Antetokounmpo family is among the most well-known in the globe. While the brothers have made such an impact in the world of sports that some often refer to them as “Greek gods,” their path to fame was not always smooth.

Everything began in 1991 when Charles and Veronica Adetokunbo, unable to secure good employment in Nigeria, relocated from Lagos to Greece in pursuit of greener pastures. Francis, the eldest son of the Adetokunbos, was abandoned in Lagos with his grandparents for upbringing.

In pursuit of improved living conditions, Charles and Veronica relocated to a small community in Athens, where Charles secured employment as a handyman and Veronica assumed the role of a babysitter. They welcomed four additional children. Alex, Thanasis, Giannis, and Kostas were all natives of Greece.

“Antetokounmpo” is the present Greek transliteration of their surname; if pronounced in Greek, the name would continue to sound like Adetokunbo. After receiving their Greek passports in 2015, they adapted their names to the Greek orthography.

Both Charles and Veronica had athletic backgrounds. Prior to departing Nigeria, Charles played professional football, which he adored, while Veronica was passionate about high jumping. Their children were exposed to sports at a young age.

Although their four children were raised in Greece, Veronica ensured that they maintained ties to their Nigerian heritage. As stated in an interview, Giannis

“…I attended school and was born in Greece.” But when I return home at the end of the day, Greek culture no longer exists. Simply put, it is Nigerian culture. It is concerning one’s morals, respect for one’s elders, and discipline.”

Employment was difficult for Charles and Veronica due to their immigration status and the fact that they were the only black people in their community. Frequently, the children were required to sell water and hats in order to earn money for sustenance.

Charles passed away in 2017 at the age of 54 due to a myocardial infarction.

“My man and my little man and I spent the best forty-eight hours in paradise,” Ayesha wrote to her social media followers. Additionally, the celebrity posted photographs of her spouse and son that were exceptionally endearing.

In reference to Canon, cookbook author Amanda Haas remarked to Ayesha, “That child gets cuter by the minute.” Sophia Amoruso added, “Beautiful family,” in reply to Ayesha’s Instagram post.

Ayesha and Steph Curry further expand their empire through their most recent endeavor, which was a segment that aired on About Last Night. The HBO Max program features celebrity guests who provide guidance to couples seeking to maintain their romance and address relationship-related questions. Steph and Ayesha Curry recently shared with Collider their admiration for one another and to discuss their involvement with the show.

Stephen described the quality in his wife that he admired the most: “Her ingenuity and her eagerness to impart her talents to others.” “She established an empire essentially out of nothing, with the intention of sharing recipes from her own kitchen using the one and only camera she possessed,” Curry said of his business partner.

    .

Ayesha expressed gratitude to her spouse, “Babe,” throughout the interview. “Observing him balance everything is what I adore most about him,” the businesswoman stated in reference to her spouse. “They say balance does not exist, but as the person who spends the most time with him, I genuinely observe him balance everything without ever expressing dissatisfaction. There are times when that makes me envious, as I wonder, “How?” How? How?’ I am intently observing his actions and am astounded as to how he manages everything with such sophistication, elegance, and effortlessness.”

The combined number of children of Stephen and Ayesha Curry is three: Canon, Ryan, and Riley. Canon is the youngest child and only son of the couple.

LeBron James Gets Major ‘Anxiety’ Watching Son Bronny Play at USC — and Says NBA Draft ‘Is Up to Him’

Bronny could declare for the NBA Draft this summer, or return to the USC Trojans

As Bronny James mulls his chances in the NBA now that his first season at USC is over, LeBron James is speaking out about his son’s possible jump to the pros — and how the college game is “hard to watch.”

On his new podcast Mind the Game with co-host JJ Redick, the Los Angeles Lakers star shared his perspective on being on the sidelines when his 19-year-old son plays.

“The NBA is the best league in the world,” James, 39, said. “That’s why it’s hard to watch my son play college basketball.”

LeBron added, “It is hard watching a 40-minute college basketball game. It’s hard. I get more anxiety and I sweat more watching college basketball, especially my son now, than I’ve ever done in my life.”

Added to his anxiety is the fact that the college game — like Bronny’s own — continues to evolve.

“I’ve never understood why a coach will throw the ball into the post with his big, with no business with the ball in the post,” James said.

Despite his opinion about how the college game is played, LeBron recently showed his affection for one college squad, who is led by head coach Keith Dambrot — who coached LeBron in high school.

On the eve of the Duquesne Dukes’ first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 47 years, LeBron gifted the entire team with new sneakers. They went on to win that game in an upset over BYU, before falling to 3-seed Illinois.

As for Bronny, he’s set to make a big decision this summer: declare for the NBA draft or return to USC for another year.

In his first season — in which he missed the first eight games after recovering from cardiac arrest last summer — Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

LeBron has been outspoken about any projections related to his son’s future.

When Bronny didn’t make ESPN’s 2024 NBA mock draft in February, the NBA icon took his opinion to X.

“Can y’all please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball?” the Lakers star wrote in a now-deleted X post. “The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do. If y’all don’t know, he doesn’t care what a mock draft says; he just works! Earned Not Given!”

He continued, “And to all the other kids out there striving to be great just keep your head down, blinders on and keep grinding. These Mock Drafts doesn’t matter one bit! I promise you! Only the WORK MATTERS!! Let’s talk REAL BASKETBALL PEOPLE!”

D’Aпgelo Rυssell pυts Lakers oп пotice ahead of free ageпcy…

It appears as if D’Angelo Russell’s only focus is remaining with the Lakers moving forward.

Lakers' D'Angelo Russell saying "LA is home!" next to LeBron James, Darvin Ham, and Rob Pelinka
The future of D’Angelo Russell has been a widely discussed topic pertaining to the Los Angeles Lakers throughout the 2023-24 season. A dynamic point guard who has always been known for his one-on-one scoring abilities, Russell has helped elevate the Lakers’ offense alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Not to mention, he’s been a catalyst for success in the 10 games that James has missed this season, leading the Lakers to a 6-4 record without their superstar and averaging 22.4 points, 10.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in those games without LeBron, according to StatMuse.

While he has had his fair share of struggles over the last couple of seasons, including in the postseason, Russell’s focus remains on making the Lakers a true championship contender, regardless of their spot in the Western Conference standings.

After defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 128-124 in double-overtime on Tuesday night, Los Angeles has now won four straight games as well as nine of their last 13 contests. Russell registered 29 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists while shooting 5-of-12 from three-point range against the Bucks. He was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line in this game.

Russell, who was a main topic of conversation around the trade deadline, has always maintained the mindset of remaining with the Lakers. Just a few weeks before the start of the playoffs and ahead of an offseason where he owns a player option on his contract, Russell’s focus remains in Los Angeles.

D’Angelo Russell speaks the truth on Lakers’ future

Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell (1) celebrates against the Atlanta Hawksin the second half at Crypto.com Arena.Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
The Lakers traded Russell to the Brooklyn Nets in 2017 after they selected him second overall in the 2015 NBA Draft. Russell was sent to Brooklyn, along with Timofey Mozgov, in exchange for Brook Lopez and the draft rights to Kyle Kuzma, who was the 27th overall pick in 2017. Although he never wanted to leave Los Angeles, Russell was forced to build his image in the Eastern Conference. That is exactly what he did, becoming an All-Star with the Nets and proving to be one of the better isolation-scoring guards in the entire league.

After a short stint with the Golden State Warriors after being involved in the Kevin Durant sign-and-trade, Russell was traded again to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade deadline deal that sent Andrew Wiggins to the Warriors. Last season, Russell was brought back by the Lakers, making his journey come full circle.

Now, Russell faces a scenario where he could become a free agent in the offseason. Los Angeles gave the 28-year-old a two-year, $36 million contract in July, but he does own a $18.6 million player option for the 2024-25 season. Whether he opts into his contract or enters free agency as an unrestricted free agent, Russell’s main priority is to remain in Los Angeles.

“I’d love to be here and continue to give it a run and be where my feet are now,” Russell told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype recently. “Obviously, I’ve been on the other side of it, and I’ve been through the roller coaster of free agency and having to sit back and wait. I’m looking forward to not having to worry about that. I’ve been blessed enough to put myself in this position with my play. I’m definitely planning on taking advantage of that.

“When that time comes, I feel that everything will play out how it’s supposed to play out.”

Russell has set a new Lakers record for threes made in a single season (192 and counting), as HoopsHype alluded to, and he has really helped set the foundation for their point of attack on offense outside of James. The Lakers are once again confident in his abilities, and Russell has embraced his role in the team’s backcourt.

Even with fans pleading for the Lakers to make a change at the trade deadline involving Russell, he has been one of the main reasons Los Angeles has found so much success as of late. Winning cures all, especially in Hollywood, which is why Russell is confident that his future will result in him continuing to wear purple and gold.
