Travis Kelce‘s familiarity with being in the spotlight has been a key factor in his relationship with Taylor Swift going so well, it has been reported.

The Kansas City Chiefs star has seen his profile spiral in the last few months since Swift confirmed rumors of the pair dating by turning up at his September 24 game against Chicago Bears.

But Kelce is no stranger to fame, given he is one of the best tight ends in NFL history and a two-time Super Bowl winner. And according to OK Magazine, Swift is grateful of his patience  with the attention that inevitably falls on them.

The publication quoted a source as saying: ‘He’s used to fans going crazy in football, so it’s not such a shock.

‘Taylor knows it’s a lot for anyone to handle, but Travis learned to manage it over the years with NFL fans and not let it affect him.

In the earlier days of their romance, Kelce was asked about the extra attention that was going to fall on him after he and Swift went public.

‘As all the attention comes, it feels like, you know – I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl and right now even more on top of the world now,’ he said at the start of October.

‘You have got a lot of people that care about Taylor, for good reason. Got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments. We’re learning with the paparazzi taking photos all over the place but it comes with it.’

At the start of the week, Kelce gave an interview with Wall Street Journal where he opened up further on being significantly more famous due to his relationship with Swift.

Kelce said: ‘Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them…. I’ve never dealt with it,’ Kelce explained. ‘But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it.

For now though, Kelce’s attention is on football with the Chiefs playing Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon in the NFL.

Kelce and his team were beaten on Monday night by the Philadelphia Eagles – the team Swift grew up supporting.

The latest NFL season kicked off in September, but football wasn’t the only thing reporters wanted to talk about when they sat down with Jason Kelce. The hot topic the Philadelphia Eagles center couldn’t avoid involved a different kind of match-up: what’s going on between his little brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and music star Taylor Swift. During a September 20 sports radio show appearance, Jason finally seemed to give up the goods. After claiming, “I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life,” Jason admitted, “Having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100-percent true, and I hope this thing goes a mile.” Then he, confusingly, took his comments back. “No, I’m joking,” Jason, 35, said, insisting, “I don’t know what’s happening.”

 

While sibling Jason might be feigning ignorance, others are ready to reveal what’s really going on. “They’re trying to keep it on the down-low, but the romance rumors about Taylor and Travis are true,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style. Ever since Travis, 33, revealed that he’d tried and failed to give Taylor, also 33, a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it when he attended her Eras tour stop in Kansas City in July, fans have wanted to know if he got a second chance to connect with the pop star. Turns out, he did. “Taylor heard about his story and got his number from her people and called Travis,” the source explains to Life & Style. “They had a secret date in a private dining room at a restaurant in NYC and it went very well — they really hit it off.”

Before the NFL season started, Travis traveled to the Big Apple, where Taylor was recording between legs of her world tour. “She tried to play coy at first to feel him out and see how serious he was. It didn’t last long, though,” says the source. “She liked that he was into her and wanted to give her a bracelet with his number — she thought that was adorable.” Their chemistry, shares the source, is palpable, “and they look great together. The only problem is their busy schedules.”

They’re both at the top of their games. She’s a three-time Grammy Album of the Year winner who’s broken myriad chart and touring records and is regarded as one of the most successful musicians of all time. He’s won two Super Bowls, broken multiple NFL records and is considered one of the greatest tight ends in football history. But despite the chaos of their work commitments over the next few months, “they’ve been staying in regular contact,” the source tells Life & Style, “and they have more dates lined up.”

It’s early days and anything can happen. At this point, though, “Travis is completely smitten,” says the source. “He likes that when you take all the fame, glitz and glam away, Taylor is pretty down to earth. She laughs easily and they both have a similar sense of humor.” It seems she’s passed his test. “You have to be grounded and you have to have some sort of balance[d] lifestyle. High maintenance, I’m out the door,” Travis recently said of what he looks for in a woman, adding that people who act “arrogant or snooty and higher above people” are “the big- gest turn off.”

Off the football field, he’s not someone who rushes into things. “To really dive into a relationship with somebody, I feel like it’s going to take some time,” Travis, who’s been single since 2022, explained. “I feel like you really got to know somebody to take that step and to really be committed and be in full throttle.”

But despite those claims, the source reveals to Life & Style, privately, “he’s already telling certain friends that Taylor could be the one.” Taylor — who most recently had a fling with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, 34, in May after ending a six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn, 32 — is hooked too, says the source, admitting, “She’s excited about dating an athlete.”

If things get more serious, however, there may be hurdles to overcome — like money issues. While Taylor, who’s worth a whopping $600 million, wanted to be a financial advisor growing up, Travis reportedly has amassed more than $200K in tax liens in the past, over $65,000 of which is still due, despite signing a $57 million contract in 2020. There’s also the issue of kids. Though “Travis is the perfect uncle,” according to brother Jason — who’s married with three daughters under 4 — the source says, “he’s not ready to be a dad. Fatherhood scares Travis. And Taylor wants children.”

That’s a conversation for the future. Right now, says the source, “They’re having fun together. Taylor and Travis just want to see where this goes.”

The family of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, the young Taylor Swift fan who died in Río de Janeiro Nov. 17, attended the final night of the Eras Tour in São Paulo, Brazil.

 

Swift met with the family before the show in Brazil, according to Folha de S.Paulo, a Brazilian newspaper. They posted a photo on Instagram of Machado’s family with Swift and report the family watched the concert from one of the VIP tents on the floor. Benevides’ family were are all wearing a shirt with her face on it.

It is unclear whether Benevides’ family was personally invited by Swift’s and her team.

A Swift fan page also shared footage on Instagram.

Benevides died during the excessive heat warning of night one in Rio de Janeiro.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift said in an Instagram story message several hours after the show. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”

According to the news site G1, per The Associated Press, Benevides created a WhatsApp group to keep her family updated with photos and videos of her trip. Benevides sent a video to family members that was broadcast by TV channel Globo News, telling them: “Mom, look at the plane, it’s moving. Mom, I’m on the plane. My God in heaven! I’m happy!”

Then before the concert, she posted a video of herself on Instagram wearing a Taylor Swift T-shirt and friendship bracelets, seeking shade under an umbrella while waiting in line to enter the stadium.

Benevides’ friend, Daniele Menin, who attended the concert with her, told online news site G1 that her friend passed out at the beginning of the concert, as Swift performed her second song, “Cruel Summer.”

Speaking to USA TODAY, experts questioned whether proper safety measures were taken by the Brazil tour producer, Time For Fun, of Taylor Swift’s Rio de Janeiro show. The CEO of Time For Fun said the company could have taken more precautions.

Andrea Davis, the president and CEO of the Resiliency Initiative, a global consulting company focused on crisis management and risk mitigation planning, didn’t have an inside look at the show’s planning. But she says: “It was a big miss.”

Davis has 25 years of emergency management experience and has worked with corporations such as Disney and Wal-Mart and on events including the World Cup and the Times Square ball drop on New Year’s Eve.

“They should have known about the weather,” she says. “There should have been protocols for the venue. They should have made sure about the water accessibility, made sure there was plenty of water and if they ran out, had a contingency to get more. They should have had cooling stations and misters. And was the staff trained to be able to go out and see if somebody was struggling and get them to help?”

With Swift’s Eras Tour resuming in Europe next summer — where a heat wave closed the Acropolis in Greece when temperatures rose too high and where the city of Rome set up water stations to help tourists — Davis recommends that Swift’s team help keep concertgoers safe.

Swift’s Eras Tour has wrapped for 2023. She will resume the tour in February of 2024 in Tokyo, Japan.

Tonight, November 26, Swift performed for the final time in 2023. But as she took the stage for the final time, her fans were hoping for something specific.

If you’ve been on TikTok, the hope was that Taylor would announce the fifth Taylor’s Version re-record, this time of her sixth studio album Reputation. However, now Taylor fans are left calling themselves clowns.

Many people thought Taylor would share the big news during the “surprise song” portion of her show. While others, instead, though she might save the big surprise for the very end.

Taylor even “glitched” during the surprise song portion of her show when she nearly called the Eras Tour her Reputation tour. Take a look:

“They have very detailed plans coming up while she’s on tour and he has games,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Taylor and Travis have the next few months completely laid out. They don’t want to start their relationship off with big gaps [in time spent apart]. They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”

So, what’s on the agenda? Apparently Taylor and Travis want to spend time with each other’s families, and will then go on a ~romantic getaway~. As the source put it, “They love [getting together] with their families and friends, but right now, what they value above all else is alone time.”

According to another insider, the couple also plan to spend some time in Tennessee since “Travis hasn’t been to Taylor’s Nashville place yet” and “he’s really looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, yet ANOTHER source says that “Travis has already started Christmas shopping and has some really special surprises [for Taylor] in store. Their connection is off the charts, and they can’t wait to celebrate together.”

New details are being revealed about the early beginnings of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.

In a candid interview for ​​the cover of WSJ. Magazine’s December/January issue, the NFL superstar shared how his romance with the singer came to be after he attended her Eras Tour in July.

During a previous episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Kelce revealed that he had planned to give Swift his digits via friendship bracelet when she performed at Arrowhead Stadium, but didn’t get the opportunity to do so.

Thankfully for Kelce, there was an “invisible string” leading him to Swift: he told WSJ. Magazine he “had somebody playing Cupid” on his behalf.

So, who exactly played matchmaker for Swift and Kelce? Here’s everything we know about how the couple got together.

When did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce meet?

Swift and Kelce’s relationship timeline first started in July 2023, when the NFL football star was spotted attending her Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium where he plays football for the Kansas City Chiefs. The football star was seen watching the show from his private box as well as trading friendship bracelets with fans inside the venue.

Though Kelce had plans to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, the two didn’t actually connect after the show. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce explained on his podcast.

Though that didn’t work out, Kelce explained in November 2023 that, following his failed attempt to get her his number, he got some help from people close to Swift to get her attention. “There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce told WSJ. Magazine, adding that he eventually found that out from Swift when she contacted him directly.

Kelce added that a few members of the Swift family even assisted in helping him get her attention. “She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but…when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures…in front of my locker,” he said.

So who exactly was the “Cupid” in Swift and Kelce’s romance? There are several people who could have connected the singer and football star as they have a few mutual friends.

For starters, both Kelce and Swift are chummy with actor Miles Teller. In 2022, Kelce joined Teller and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for golfing practice ahead of the American Century Championship. Meanwhile, Teller previously costarred in Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” music video alongside his wife Keleigh Sperry. The couple also attended Swift’s Eras Tour in New Jersey alongside football star Aaron Rodgers in May 2023.

Additionally, one of Swift’s Eras Tour backup dancers has a fun Kansas City Chiefs connection. Kameron Saunders, who has gained a following online for his fun “Bejeweled” dance during the concert, is the brother of football player Khalen Saunders, who played on the Kanas City Chiefs with Kelce from 2019 to 2022.

Another person who could have played matchmaker for Swift and Kelce is NFL broadcaster Erin Andrews. In fact, Andrews previously asked Swift to “please try our friend Travis” during an episode of her podcast in August. “He is fantastic,” Andrews said at the time, adding, “Taylor, I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.”

After Swift and Kelce actually got together, Andrews reflected on the podcast moment during Late Night with Seth Meyers, joking that she played a vital role in their romance. “Travis was very open about not getting to meet her. And so we were just being really candid because we love him. We’re good friends of his and we just were like, ‘Taylor, date this guy. I mean, he’s good looking,’“ Andrews told the host. “He’s just such a great, great guy. And so we threw it out there and they got together. Of course, we’re getting all the credit now,” she added.

Though Sudeikis has a good relationship with the team (who donated auction items to his Thundergong! charity event recently), he did not confirm or deny the rumors, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “I was thankful to Taylor, just hanging out, coming to do two nights of shows [in Kansas City] … Little did I know, just a few months later, she’d be our adopted daughter. I don’t blame her for wanting to hang out here more, I don’t blame her for wanting to hang out with Travis. He’s a good egg.”

While it’s not likely Swift’s BFF Selena Gomez had a hand in their romance, fans have unearthed footage of the Rare Beauty founder attending the same Big Slick 2019 Softball Game as Kelce. In the clip, Gomez and Kelce stand just feet apart as they greet the camera. “Is that Travis Kelce?! The invisible strings are invisible stringing!!” wrote one commenter.

The pop star’s jet left São Paulo, Brazil, in the early hours of Monday, November 27, and landed in Tampa, Florida, around 7 a.m. ET, according to online air traffic records viewed by Life & Style. The plane then took off from Tampa around 8:30 a.m. and began a route to Kansas City. The jet landed in K.C. around 11 a.m., although Taylor, 33, has not been spotted in the city.

On Sunday, November 26, the “Cruel Summer” singer completed the Brazilian leg of her Eras tour with her final show in São Paulo. The concert also marked her final show of 2023, as Taylor is set to have a break until February 2024, when the tour will resume in Tokyo.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert pic has achieved yet another milestone at the global box office.

AMC Theatres, which is distributing the film, announced Monday that Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour has amassed $250 million in worldwide movie ticket sales to rank among the top 20 biggest films of 2023. It’s easily the most successful concert film of all time.

Eras Tour finished Thanksgiving weekend with a North American total of $178.2 million and $71.8 million overseas.

It currently stands at No. 19 on the global chart not far behind The Nun II ($268 million) and The Flash ($270.1 million). Domestically, it stands at a dazzling No. 11 behind the likes of Sound of Freedom ($184.2 million) and John Wick: Chapter Four ($187.1 million).

Swift and her team self-financed the $15 million film, which has been playing in theaters from Thursday to Sunday for seven weekends.

The pic has been a boon for cinema owners as the pipeline of content from traditional Hollywood studios slowed due to WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Swift broke with tradition in deciding to partner with AMC, versus a studio, in bringing her secret pic to the big screen.

Eras Tour will return to theaters again this Thursday just as AMC distributes its second film — Beyoncé Renaissance concert pic.

By Friday, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will be playing in thousands of theaters across North America. Tracking shows it opening in the $20 million to $25 million range domestically (that compares to $92.8 million for Eras Tour.)

Beyoncé attended a star-studded premiere for her movie in Los Angeles on Nov. 25. Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, along with Janelle Monáe, Issa Rae, Lizzo, Halle and Chloe Bailey, Lupita Nyong’o and Terry Perry, were among the guests.

 

Call it what you want – a wild obsession or a love story for the ages – Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship over the past few months is getting people talking.

From Swift’s inner circle to one of her ex-boyfriends, everyone seems to be cheering on her romance with Kelce.

Gigi Hadid was not tolerating the harsh remarks some media outlets were making about her not supporting Swift in her new relationship with the NFL tight end. Hadid responded to an Instagram post shared by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, whose headline read “Gigi Hadid ‘Doesn’t Agree With The Way’ Taylor Swift Is Handling Travis Kelce Romance!”

“I’m a couple days late to this tag,” Hadid commented, “But didn’t the press try this last week w Selena [Gomez]? Let it be.. we are all over the moon for our girl. Period,” she wrote.

Earlier in the month, Page Six ran a headline that said Swift’s close friend, Selena Gomez, thought Swift was “moving too fast” with Kelce. Days later, Gomez was seen with not only Swift, but also Hadid, Cara Delevingne and several significant others of Kansas City Chiefs players, including Brittany Mahomes, in New York City.

Another member of Swift’s illustrious girl squad, model Delevingne told E! News that she is “so, so happy” for Swift and Kelce. “There’s definitely something very different about them,” she suggested. “I’m always rooting for my girl.”

It’s been several years since they dated, but Taylor Lautner now considers his ex-girlfriend Swift a friend. He commented on her relationship with Kelce, sharing “I’m excited for her.”

“They seem like they’re incredibly happy… As long as she’s happy, I’m happy. She’s crushing it in every aspect of her life right now and to be happy on that, you know, side of her life, nothing makes me more happy than that,” he added.

During one of her Argentina concerts, Swift changed the lyrics to her song “Karma” to reference Kelce. Video quickly circulated online, showing the sweet moment Kelce realized what his girl had done. “One Tree Hill” actress Hilarie Burton Morgan quickly retweeted footage of the sweet moment, adding her strong two cents.

“They are gonna have the most flannel lined, pie and red ribbon kinda Christmas,” she wrote. “And then these babies are gonna be engaged by May,” she predicted.

Television personality and cook Antoni Porowski accompanied Swift on one of many trips to Arrowhead Stadium to see Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. Other stars in attendance were Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. When asked about his pal’s relationship, the “Queer Eye” star said he “couldn’t be happier.”

“I’m very supportive. She’s an incredible, formidable woman who’s managing to tour the world over,” he told People magazine.

“My hopes for them as a couple are… that they continue to be really happy and to enjoy this moment and all the future moments to come.”

Although they used to have bad blood, Katy Perry and Swift have publicly voiced their support for one another in recent years. Vogue magazine shared to their Instagram a series of photos from one of Swift and Kelce’s evenings out in New York City, and Perry made sure to let people know she was supportive of the relationship. “I ship,” she commented.
