Hear Taylor Swift’s reaction to Travis Kelce dancing to, singing ‘Love Story’ with her at Super Bowl afterparty

Taylor Swift said she and Travis Kelce “met in the middle” before they sang her song at his Super Bowl afterparty.

Taylor Swift had a sweet reaction to boyfriend Travis Kelce serenading her with her song “You Belong With Me” at his team’s Super Bowl afterparty.

In a clip shared on X Wednesday, the “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs star were talking about the moment in festivities at Zouk Nightclub with Chainsmoker musician Drew Taggart and his girlfriend, model Marianne Fonseca.

“I love how he just came very quickly when your song was on,” Fonseca said to Swift, 34, before they introduced themselves to one another.

“That was the most romantic thing ever.”

“I was like, ‘What is happening in my life right now?’” she explained as the football star kissed her on the cheek.

Kelce, also 34, then explained to Taggart that the timing of the song being played was “perfect” because he was just coming out of the bathroom.

The “Bad Blood” singer added that they “met in the middle” for the impromptu romantic moment.

“I was like, ‘What is happening in my life right now?’” she explained as Kelce kissed her on the cheek.

The quick conversation came after the tight end and Swift shared a sweet moment at the afterparty Sunday.

In videos shared online, Kelce stood at the DJ booth as he sang along to “You Belong With Me” before spotting his girlfriend in the crowd and singing to her.

At another point in the night, the couple — who went public in September — looked into each other’s eyes as they sang the words to an EDM remix of “Love Story,” another hit of the 14-time Grammy winner’s 2008 album, “Fearless.”

Earlier that day, Swift cheered on the athlete and his team during their Super Bowl LVIII game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The “Bad Blood” singer attended the game in a VIP suite — paid for by Kelce — with her close friends Ice Spice and Blake Lively.

After the Chiefs’ victory, she joined friends and family of the team on the field as they celebrated.

After Travis hugged his mom, Donna Kelce, he then hugged and kissed Swift.

The three-time Super Bowl champ thanked the singer for traveling from Tokyo to Las Vegas to make it for his big game.

“Thank you for the support. Thank you for coming. Thank you for making it halfway across the world. You’re the best, baby.”

Jason Kelce says Travis’s relationship with Taylor Swift affected his safety

Jason Kelce spoke out about Travis Kelce’s safety being compromised amid his relationship with Taylor Swift.

When Taylor Swift, America’s biggest popstar, began dating one of the NFL’s best tight ends in the league, Travis Kelce, nobody could have predicted the huge presence Taylor would have in Travis’s life and career.

    `

Not only was Taylor helpful in making Super Bowl LVIII the most-watched telecast ever, but she has also, somehow, according to Travis’s brother Jason Kelce, shifted Travis’s safety.

Though Travis can defend himself, Jason recently spoke out with concern, saying the “new demographic” Travis now has to encounter is on a whole other level.

Travis Kelce fans break onto his property in Kansas City

When Jason Kelce went on The Big Podcast with Shaq, he discussed the impact of being likable in the public eye, “It’s crazy to feel how much joy you bring people. Or, how much you affect people’s daily lives. It also has its drawbacks.”

Jason then went on to say that Travis had to completely move out of his house for “safety reasons.”

However, once Travis moved into his new Kansas City home in late 2023, which is located in a gated community, people continued to break onto his property and even knock on his windows.

Jason also explained how despite he and Travis being “big in the football world,” the “Taylor world” was a different level of intensity fan-wise, “The Taylor world and the pop culture world — that’s a whole different level. It’s a new demographic that wasn’t there before.”

Shaq then chimed in, saying that Travis should have nothing to worry about if he’s not doing anything he’s not supposed to be doing.

Though Travis will have to continue with the flashing lights and fans breaking onto his property, odds are he’ll happily put up with the fanatics while dating Taylor, as the two were seen happily celebrating Travis’ Super Bowl LVIII win Sunday evening with Taylor’s parents despite fans surrounding them.

Taylor Swift’s arrival in Australia sparks controversy as 25,000 fans track her jet

Taylor Swift has touched down in Australia just days before she is due to hit the stage at the MCG, leaving her fandom divided after 25,00 fans tracked the pop star’s jet.

Taylor Swift has touched down in Melbourne, where she will kick off the Australian leg of her Eras Tour, with 25,00 people controversially tracking the singer-songwriter’s flight as it travelled from Honolulu.

About 6,000 people were monitoring Flightradar24, a global flight tracking service, as the 14-time Grammy award winner landed at Tullamarine airport just before 1am on Thursday, with a total of about 25,000 people following the flight.

Dozens of Swifties also gathered at the airport anticipating the music icon’s arrival.

Despite not being able to see the star before she was whisked away into an awaiting car, for dedicated fans, merely being near their idol was a dream come true.

However, some fans were quick to point out that tracking the star’s plane and waiting for her at the airport was overstepping boundaries.

“It’s creepy. Just leave her alone,” one supporter wrote on Facebook.

“People who care about her should care about her privacy and respect her enough to not overstep that boundary. Going and finding her at the airport, especially in a private sector where you genuinely cannot see her is just weird.”

Melbourne, are you … Ready For It?

    — B. from the burbs (@its_just_be) February 14, 2024

Swift’s legal team recently threatened legal action against a college student who has been tracking her plane and announcing her location on Twitter.

Swift has intense security measures in place in part due to several dangerous situations with crazed stalkers.

Nevertheless, certain Swifties found no problem in patiently awaiting her arrival at the airport, particularly considering that many of them were young children.

“It’s really sad to see people shaming others for being excited?! Some of these are kids who didn’t get tickets and just wanting something to remember. What’s any different to someone outside the MCG each night?!” one said.

“They parked in a public viewing spot to see her plane land, people do that every day!

    “Just let them be excited.”

The 34-year-old artist will hold three performances in Melbourne from Friday night, before travelling to Sydney for an additional four shows.

An Aussie flight full of Taylor Swift fans have turned the journey into a mini-concert while en route to see the pop star.

The day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived: Taylor Swift is performing her first show in Australia tonight.

We repeat: Taylor Swift is finally performing her first The Eras Tour show in Australia tonight.

It’s been a long time coming, we can tell you that for free, with many cheers and tears (see: The Great Ticketing War) being encountered along the way.

And it’s not just a big not for us Aussie Swifties – it’s actually predicted to be a history-making evening for Swift herself, as the first Melbourne show is set to be her biggest audience ever of at least 86,000 fans.

That will be a personal record for the Lavender Haze singer, who is coming off a monumental year into an even bigger one.

“I think this is next level by any standards. She is clearly the hottest artist on the planet and just keeps getting hotter and hotter and hotter,” Nine’s Entertainment Editor Richard Wilkins told 9honey Celebrity this week, saying the fanaticism around Swift is nothing like he’s ever seen before.

Fears of asbestos near Sydney’s Accor Stadium alleviated

Amid Sydney’s asbestos debacle, one small median strip at Sydney Olympic Park – where Swift’s shows next weekend are set to take place – has been identified and tested for asbestos.

The test came back negative, but officials are testing it again just to be safe. If asbestos is found, it will be vacuumed up.

“This will not stop Taylor Swift performing in Sydney,” Minister for the Environment Penny Sharpe said.

“Sydney Olympic Park Authority is inspecting mulch from the supply chain under investigation, that has been used on a median strip on a divided road.

“An examination of the mulch found no asbestos. A back up test is being conducted as a precaution.

“We are testing samples but, regardless, we can remove the mulch and remediate before Taylor Swift takes to the stage in the Harbour City.”

MCG boss’ warning to Taylor Swift fans ahead of her show tonight

Melbourne Cricket Club CEO Stuart Fox has issued a word of advice for fans who are heading to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for Swift’s show tonight, urging concertgoers to arrive at the precinct early.

Although Swift isn’t set to take to the stage until 8pm AEDT tonight, Fox has said that because several other major events are taking place in the area tonight, he would suggest leaving for the concert early.

“There’s going to be a lot of congestion … I’d certainly be making tracks at about 3 o’clock,” Fox told 3AW’s Breakfast with Ross and Russel this morning.

Will Travis Kelce be joining Taylor Swift in Australia?

    Maybe… probably…. it’s likely.

That’s according to 9honey’s Taylor Swift expert Jemima Skelley, who says the NFL star has “all but confirmed that he will be coming Down Under” now that his season has officially ended (with a truly stunning Super Bowl victory, no less).

It’s unlikely, however, that he’ll make it in time for Swift’s first Melbourne show tonight, with Swift touching down in the early hours of Thursday morning without her boyfriend.

By Becca LongmireBecca LongmireTaylor Swift ‘Starstruck’ at Biggest Eras Tour Show Yet in Melbourne

Taylor Swift just hit yet another milestone in her career.

On Friday, the singer, 34, played to the biggest Eras Tour crowd on her entire tour so far, as she took the stage at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

96,000 fans attended the sold-out show, meaning there were more people in the venue than any other concert to date, and she’s had some huge gigs so far, including performing to a 74,000-strong crowd at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in May.

“This is the biggest show that we have done on this tour or any tour I have ever done,” Swift told the crowd in a clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“That’s the version you get of me tonight, the version that’s completely starstruck by the fact that so many of you wanted to hang out with us on a Friday night in Melbourne,” the “Love Story” hitmaker added.

Friday’s gig marked Swift’s first Australian tour since 2018 when she took the stage for her Reputation shows. She’s also set to perform at MCG on Feb. 17 and 18, before heading to Sydney for next weekend’s gigs at the city’s Accor Stadium.

Swift’s Melbourne show comes after she jetted from her Eras Tour show in Tokyo on Saturday to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce help his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in their victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Sunday’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

Swift and Kelce, who hasn’t been spotted in Australia yet, partied hard after his big Super Bowl win, and despite not getting to spend Valentine’s Day together on Wednesday, he did the “most romantic thing” for her in Vegas.

The NFL star was seen dancing to Swift’s 2008 hit “You Belong with Me” while celebrating the win at Resorts World’s Zouk nightclub in Sin City. Swift was then heard raving about the moment in a sweet video that’s surfaced on social media.

The clip featured Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers — who DJ’d the party — and his girlfriend, model Marianne Fonseca, speaking with the power couple in the club.

“I love how he just came very quickly when your song was on,” Fonseca told Swift in the video.

“That was the most romantic thing that’s ever happened to me,” the “22” hitmaker responded, before exchanging introductions with Fonseca.

Kelce then revealed he almost didn’t make it to the dance floor in time to dance to the track.

“You played it, and I was literally coming out of the bathroom,” he admitted. “I’m like, ‘Yes!’ It was the perfect time.”

“And then we met in the middle,” added Swift. “I was like, ‘What is happening in my life right now?!’”

And while he hasn’t yet been spotted in Australia, in this week’s PEOPLE cover story, a source close to the Kelce family revealed that Kelce is ready to spend time in the offseason supporting Swift, as she did at more than a dozen games during his football season.

“Football is everything to him. He lives and breathes it. But he’s ready for some downtime now and to show up for Taylor the way she has for him,” the insider said. “The attention on them is definitely a lot, but Travis has done a great job deflecting and focusing on what’s important.”

She took off in Hawaii at 4.52pm local time on February 13, and didn’t land until the early hours on February 15 AEDT due to the 21-hour time difference, meaning she missed the big day.

But she had just spent a few days with her boyfriend Travis in Los Angeles as she celebrated with him after he won the NFL Super Bowl, before jetting off Down Under.

Australian Swifties were blessed with the first-ever live performance of Taylor Swift’s “You’re Losing Me” on Friday, February 16.

“I’ve never played this song live before, it’s one of my favorites,” Swift, 34, told the crowd in Melbourne, according to fan videos shared via social media. The singer sat at her piano in a yellow dress for the acoustic set — otherwise known as the surprise songs. (She also performed “Red (Taylor’s Version)” on the guitar.)

“You’re Losing Me,” a Midnights vault track, was initially available on the Late Night Edition of her 2022 record, which was sold as a CD at her Eras Tour stops in New Jersey last year. Swift finally brought the song to streaming after she was named Spotify’s 2023 Top Global Artist.

“I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you,” Swift wrote via Instagram in November 2023. “Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me.”

She continued: “I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put ‘You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)’ on streaming… so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now

Fans were quick to speculate that the “You’re Losing Me” lyrics detail the end of Swift’s six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn. (Us Weekly confirmed in April 2023 that the two had split.)

“I glared at you with storms in my eyes / How can you say that you love someone you can’t tell is dying?” Swift sings in the second verse. “I sent you signals and bit my nails down to the quick / My face was gray, but you wouldn’t admit that we were sick.”

Swift’s friend and longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff subsequently stirred the pot by revealing when the pair wrote and produced the song, fueling new fan theories.

“‘You’re Losing Me’ is out today, a very special track from the Midnights sessions that’s finally streaming!” Antonoff, 39, shared via his Instagram Story in November 2023, sharing a photo of Swift. “Written and recorded at home on 12/5/21 after Taylor ate these raisins.”

Neither Swift nor Alwyn have spoken publicly about the reason for their breakup. Swift briefly moved on with The 1975 singer Matty Healy before going public with boyfriend Travis Kelce in September 2023. Days before kicking off her Australian tour dates, Swift supported Kelce, 34, as he and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

The song came out in May 2023 and features a narrator singing about realizing a relationship is unhealthy and their attempts to save it, which many fans have theorized was inspired by the end of Swift’s relationship with the English actor Joe Alwyn.

The pop star also broke out the title track of Red, which she hadn’t performed since last year.

The collector’s edition deluxe copies are available for purchase for a limited time on her website.

The star encouraged fans to pre-order the new music as she shared two links in her Instagram Stories ahead of the weekend.

One link read ‘File Name: The Bolter’ and the other simply said ‘pre-order now.’
