In an interview with 9 News, Gray said she was heading to the arena when she received a phone call from hospital staff telling her they finally found her a kidney.

Gray had been one of the many people registered for kidney transplants in Australia – never thinking she would receive a donor.

But she was wrong. In fact, the 35-year-old Queensland mother said she was at the Gold Coast Airport waiting to board a plane for Sydney when she got the call around 8:30 AM.

Gray said, “I won’t lie, there was a split second that I considered saying no [to the kidney], but, you know, I’m not crazy.” Yes, a different decision would make her certifiable.

Kelce was greeted by thunderous applause as he walked into Accor Stadium, joined by fellow NFL star Ross Travis and Swift’s father Scott Swift, and made his way to a VIP tent on the floor.

Later in the night, some lucky fans received a very special keepsake from the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who has been dating Swift since September.

A video shared online shows Kelce reaching into his pockets to retrieve guitar picks belonging to the singer, before handing them over.

The multi-Grammy Award winner’s guitar picks have been handed out to fans during her shows for years, a responsibility usually falling to her parents.

Kelce also got right into the friendship bracelet movement that’s emerged throughout Swift’s Eras Tour, with a stack of the tokens seen on his arm.

Travis, who travelled to Australia with Kelce in a private jet on Thursday, was also decked out in the bracelets.

The American athletes made a colourful duo, wearing patterned t-shirt-and-shorts sets in blue and yellow.

Scott Swift was also spotted interacting with fans, handing out sandwiches and fruit to ticketholders on the stadium floor.

It’s not the first time she’s sang that version of the song during her tour in a nod to Kelce’s presence, but it still sent her Aussie fans wild.

After the set for support act Sabrina Carpenter had to be cancelled, Taylor finally took the stage a little over 20 minutes after the scheduled start time of 7.30pm.

‘We have a little bit of a weather situation, we might have some rain, but I’ve never known an Aussie crowd to let that get in the way of having a good time,’ Taylor told her fans once she began her performance.

The wild weather lashing Sydney on Friday evening caused chaos for the 80,000 Swifties heading to her first show of the Eras Tour in the city.

Fans sitting on the floor and lower bowl levels of the stadium were asked to move inside after lightning struck just 10 kilometres away shortly before 6pm.

A statement from Accor Stadium issued just before 6pm told concert-goers the three-hour show had been delayed.

It was a cruel Valentine’s Day for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

 

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end didn’t spend the romantic holiday with the “Anti-Hero” singer and instead celebrated his team’s 2024 Super Bowl win at a parade back in Missouri.

But that doesn’t mean Taylor and Travis have gone out of style. After all, Taylor had to jet off to Australia for her Feb. 16 Eras Tour show in Melbourne, and with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. ACT—a.k.a. 9:30 pm PST on Feb. 15—that didn’t leave the Grammy winner enough time to hang out in Kansas City and take a 25-hour-plus flight to the Aussie town.

And while Taylor didn’t make it to Kansas City this time, she did receive a big invitation. In fact, the city’s Major Quinton Lucas personally shut down rumors that officials had specifically asked the “Blank Space” singer not to attend for security reasons.

 

“Not true at all,” Lucas clarified on X Feb. 13. “Just had a great chat with (Kansas City Missouri Police Department) Chief (Stacey) Graves. We’re enchanted to welcome everyone to tomorrow’s parade and the women and men of our police department are prepared to keep all safe.”

Taylor and Travis may not have gotten to spend a romantic Valentine’s Day together, but the couple did get to share some rom-com worthy moments while celebrating Travis’ Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11.

For one, the couple made the whole place shimmer at a string of Las Vegas after-parties, where, at one point, they were spotted adorably singing the lyrics of “Love Story” to each other before leaning in and packing on some PDA. And before that, Travis and Taylor, both 34, shared a celebratory kiss on the Allegiant Stadium field, with the NFL star asking, “Was it electric?”

As for the “Shake It Off” singer’s response, she gushed, “It was unbelievable. One of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced!”

The insider who spoke to U.S Sun revealed that Kelce sent his beau a lavish arrangement of 250 Eternity roses valued at $2,100. These roses require minimal care and attention and can last for an entire year. The floral delight was also delivered in a “monumental round Parisian-inspired Hat Box,” described as a “sweeping gesture of love and luxury that serves as an ideal gift for your Eternal Love.”

As recounted by the insider, shortly after receiving the Eternity roses, Swift was surprised with another extravagant gift: a vibrant hot pink floral arrangement valued at $2,100. Adding to the floral splendor, the “Blank Space” singer also received a handcrafted rose sculpture by luxury design company Perigold, worth $3,100.

Described as a symbol of love, emotion, and sentiment,” the rose sculpture “embodies the passion that has inspired la Maison Daum for over 140 years,” and a “graceful” flower that “crystallizes a message of infinite love” and “conveys an unforgettable emotion.” The Perigold website added: “The finely carved crystal rose unveils the subtlety and grace of the flower and is accentuated by the precious stem gilded in 24-karat gold or palladium, revealing its exquisite delicacy.”

 

According to the source, “Travis knows what [Swift] likes and is always wanting to send her lots of nice flowers.” The outlet previously detailed the couple’s summer plans, revealing Kelce’s intention to accompany the singer throughout the demanding European leg of her tour. Luxurious hotel suites in Paris, Milan, and London have been booked, along with romantic getaways between sold-out shows.

The NFL star has spared no expense to ensure Swift looks impeccable during their time in the French capital, purchasing a stylish black lambskin Dior beret valued at $1,100. Additionally, he’s adorned her with a French-made Hermes shawl and a chic Bottega Veneta handbag, each adding to her sophisticated ensemble.

For leisurely moments away from the spotlight, a wide-brimmed Celine straw hat completes her summer look. According to the insider, Kelce’s lavish gestures “show her how much he cares about her and the upcoming months to come as they will travel together all over the world.”
