REPORT: Bronny James tracker: Son of LeBron James staying in NBA Draft, cleared to participate in combine

James’ decision to stay in the NBA Draft after receiving medical clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play Panel marks a significant development in his budding basketball career. The USC freshman, and son of Los Angeles Lakers icon LeBron James, is poised to take the next step towards his professional aspirations.

Bronny James’ journey to the NBA Draft took an unexpected turn when he was medically cleared by the NBA’s Fitness to Play Panel following a cardiac arrest incident last summer. This clearance paves the way for James to fully participate in all predraft activities, including the highly anticipated NBA Draft Combine, where he is expected to garner substantial attention. The combine, scheduled from May 12-19 at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis in Chicago, presents a crucial opportunity for James to showcase his skills to NBA scouts and decision-makers.

The decision to forego his college eligibility and remain in the draft comes after James announced his intention to enter the draft and the transfer portal last month, effectively concluding his collegiate career after just one season. With the NCAA withdrawal deadline set for May 29 and the NBA withdrawal deadline on June 16, James opted to make his decision early, indicating a clear commitment to pursuing his professional aspirations.

Despite mixed performance statistics during his freshman season, James’ potential as a player has not gone unnoticed. While he may not be a top prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft class, his unique skill set and pedigree as the son of LeBron James could intrigue NBA teams looking for talent with upside. With attributes such as high defensive intensity, playmaking ability, and a high basketball IQ, James possesses the foundational tools to succeed at the next level.

However, areas for improvement remain, particularly in his 3-point shooting, where James struggled to find consistency during his college career. Despite not currently being ranked in the NBA Draft Prospect Rankings from CBS Sports and absent from first-round mock drafts, James is expected to receive opportunities in the second round or through regular or two-way contracts.

James’ decision to maintain college eligibility while entering the draft reflects a common strategy among college prospects navigating the uncertain draft process. Additionally, speculation looms regarding the potential for James to join forces with his father, LeBron James, in the NBA, particularly if LeBron exercises his player option for the 2024-25 season.

As James embarks on his professional journey, his decision to leave USC leaves an impact on the college basketball landscape. USC has already faced departures from key players, including star wing Kobe Johnson and four-star guard Trent Perry, signaling a period of transition for the program under new coaching leadership.

Overall, Bronny James’ decision to enter the NBA Draft represents a significant milestone in his basketball career, as he looks to carve out his own path in the world of professional basketball while carrying on his family’s legacy.

LeBron James gets a standing ovation in Cleveland during Game 4 Forever the King: “Cleveland, this is for you!”

LeBron James received a thunderous standing ovation from Cleveland Cavaliers fans during Game 4 of the Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics matchup.

LeBron James attended Game 4 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics in Cleveland. The hometown hero, who delivered the city its 2016 NBA Championship, was celebrated enthusiastically by the fans, earning a regal welcome.

There was a period when the thought of LeBron receiving such an ovation in Cleveland after leaving the team was unthinkable. By 2010, James had arguably already become the greatest player in franchise history before his shocking departure to the Miami Heat. The night he left, fans burned his jerseys throughout Ohio, but he mended those bridges by returning to the team in 2014.

James secured a championship for the Cavaliers in 2016, leading them to four consecutive Finals. The three losses included facing a dominant Warriors dynasty, particularly in the 2018 Finals, where James almost single-handedly brought the Cavs to the Finals and solidified his legacy among any remaining skeptics.

When James departed the franchise for the second time in the summer of 2018, everyone understood his decision. Now, he basks in the admiration he rightfully earned as the greatest player in the history of the franchise.

During his time in Cleveland, James won one NBA title, one Finals MVP, and two league MVPs, averaging 27.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.

The Celtics Once Assembled a Superteam to Challenge LeBron James
As the Cavaliers and Celtics are locked in a playoff battle, it’s impossible to overlook LeBron’s remarkable impact in past series between these teams. According to league insider Jeff Benedict, the Celtics specifically built a superteam to challenge LeBron James.

“Nobody understood superteams more than Pat Riley and Danny Ainge, and Ainge is up running the Celtics, Riley’s down in Miami running the Heat,” Benedict said. “The whole thing with [Kevin] Garnett and [Ray] Allen and [Paul] Pierce, what’s he doing? He’s trying to beat LeBron. He’s trying to make sure that the Celtics can beat LeBron because he knows how good LeBron is.”

James reached the NBA Finals in 2007, prompting the Celtics to assemble their big three, defeating James’ Cavaliers in 2008 and 2010. James answered this challenge by forming an even stronger superteam in Miami, where he never lost to the Celtics again.

LeBron delivered some iconic performances against the Celtics, notably in a Miami Heat jersey, including his legendary 2012 Game 6 showing where he scored 45 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to turn a 2-3 series deficit into a seven-game series victory.

The 2024 Cavaliers fell to a 3-1 deficit after Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell missed Game 4 of their series against the Celtics. After overcoming an injured Heat team in Round 1, they are close to defeating a weakened Cavaliers squad in Round 2. They will face either an inexperienced Pacers or a depleted Knicks team in the Conference Finals, making them heavy favorites to advance to the NBA Finals from the East.

LeBron James Steps Out in Massive Walking Boot for Lakers Game, Season In Jeopardy

One accessory that certainly does not sit well with Laker supporters is a massive walking brace on LeBron James’ right leg, which could indicate that his season is nearing its conclusion.

Tuesday night in Los Angeles’s contest against Memphis, the King donned the enormous foot protector, precisely two days after suffering his initial lower leg ιnjury while playing for the Dallas Mavericks.

James navigated the Tennessee arena in street clothes while clumsily supported by a brace. This development was a Ԁire omen for the Lakers, who must win the majority of their remaining 20 games in order to secure a berth in the playoffs the following month.

    .

To make circumstances worse for LeBron James’ Los Angeles squad, the Lakers fell to Ja Morant and the Grizzlies, 121-109, without their star player.

Particularly uncertain is whether or not LeBron James can return to the team at any juncture during this season; he has been reportedly sidelined for a minimum of two weeks to enable his foot to heal.

Furthermore, if the team fails to qualify for the postseason within that critical 14-day period, reports indicate that he may be retired prior to the 2023-24 season.

    .

James expressed his displeasure on Monday night via Instagram, where he posted a photo of his injured leg accompanied by the caption “Fkn sucks!!!!”

    Admirers of the Lakers, pause.

Lebron James Goes Evil Vows To Sacrifice Whole Family & Loved Ones Like He Did Kobe To Win 5th Ring

The recent statement purportedly made by LeBron James vowing to “sacrifice” his family and loved ones in pursuit of his fifth NBA championship ring has sparked controversy and outrage among fans and the wider public. The comparison to the late Kobe Bryant, coupled with the notion of sacrificing loved ones, has elicited strong reactions and condemnation from across the sports community.

LeBron James, known for his athletic prowess and philanthropic efforts off the court, has always been a figure of admiration and respect. However, the recent statement attributed to him has shocked and appalled many, as it seems to advocate for a callous disregard for the well-being of his family and loved ones in the pursuit of personal success.

In response to the backlash, representatives for LeBron James have swiftly disavowed the statement, asserting that it does not reflect his true beliefs or values. James himself has taken to social media to clarify that he holds his family and loved ones in the highest regard and would never condone such sentiments.

The mention of Kobe Bryant in connection with the statement has added another layer of complexity to the controversy. Bryant, who tragically passed away in 2020, was widely revered for his dedication to his family and his contributions to the game of basketball. Any implication that Bryant’s success was achieved through similar sacrifices of loved ones is not only false but also disrespectful to his memory.

The outcry over the alleged statement attributed to LeBron James serves as a reminder of the importance of family and values in the pursuit of success. While ambition and drive are admirable qualities, they must never come at the expense of one’s integrity, morality, or personal relationships.

As the controversy surrounding LeBron James’ alleged statement continues to unfold, it is imperative that the focus remains on upholding principles of decency, respect, and compassion. Whether on or off the court, athletes and public figures have a responsibility to set a positive example and to prioritize the well-being of their loved ones above all else.

In conclusion, the alleged statement attributed to LeBron James vowing to sacrifice his family and loved ones in pursuit of his fifth NBA championship ring has sparked widespread condemnation and outrage. As the situation unfolds, it is essential to uphold values of integrity, respect, and compassion, both on and off the court.

Here’s everything you need to know about Barkley’s blistering attack on King James.

Charles Barkley’s condemnation of LeBron James stems from allegations that the Lakers superstar has a tendency to deflect blame onto his teammates in the aftermath of defeats. According to Barkley, James’ behavior undermines team morale and creates a toxic atmosphere within the Lakers’ locker room. The allegations have sparked intense scrutiny and speculation, casting a shadow over James’ leadership abilities.

In a no-holds-barred critique during a recent television appearance, Barkley didn’t mince words when it came to LeBron James. The NBA Hall of Famer accused James of lacking accountability and leadership, suggesting that his actions were detrimental to the team’s success. Barkley’s scathing assessment has reignited the debate over James’ leadership style and its impact on the Lakers’ performance.

As expected, LeBron James wasted no time in firing back at Charles Barkley, dismissing the allegations as baseless and unfounded. In a series of tweets, James defended his leadership style and reiterated his commitment to the Lakers’ success. However, the controversy surrounding Barkley’s comments continues to linger, with many questioning James’ ability to lead the team to victory.

The fallout from Barkley’s critique has shone a spotlight on the dynamics within the Lakers’ locker room. While some have come to LeBron James’ defense, others have echoed Barkley’s concerns about the impact of James’ behavior on team chemistry. As the Lakers continue to navigate a challenging season, the spotlight remains firmly fixed on James and his leadership role within the team.

As one of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James’ legacy is already firmly cemented in the annals of NBA history. Will he be hailed as a transformative leader who elevated his teams to greatness, or will his legacy be tarnished by allegations of poor leadership and divisiveness?

Charles Barkley’s scathing critique of LeBron James has ignited a fierce debate over the Lakers superstar’s leadership abilities. As fans and analysts continue to dissect the fallout from Barkley’s comments, the pressure is on James to prove his critics wrong and lead the Lakers to victory. George Karl Goes Nuclear on LeBron James: Says Bubble Ring Doesn’t Count, Calls It Fraudulent; Claims He Has Only 3 Rings

In a fiery statement that has sent shockwaves through the basketball community, former NBA coach George Karl has declared that LeBron James’ 2020 NBA championship, often referred to as the “bubble ring,” is fraudulent and should not count. Karl’s comments have reignited the debate over the legitimacy of the championship won during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Karl, LeBron should be recognized as having only three championship rings instead of four. This controversial opinion has sparked intense discussion among fans, analysts, and players.

The 2020 NBA season was unprecedented, with the league suspending operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To safely complete the season, the NBA created a “bubble” environment at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This isolation zone allowed teams to play games without fans in attendance, with strict health protocols in place.

LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to victory in the 2020 NBA Finals, defeating the Miami Heat to secure his fourth NBA championship. Despite the unique circumstances, the Lakers’ triumph was celebrated as a significant achievement. LeBron’s performance was widely praised, and he was awarded the Finals MVP

George Karl, a veteran coach with a storied career in the NBA, recently made headlines with his strong stance against the legitimacy of the bubble championship. In an interview, Karl stated, “The bubble ring doesn’t count. It’s fraudulent. LeBron has three rings, not four.” His comments have added fuel to an ongoing debate about the conditions under which the 2020 championship was won.

Karl’s main argument is that the bubble environment lacked the typical challenges and pressures of a regular NBA season and playoffs. He believes that the absence of travel, home-court advantage, and fans significantly altered the competitive dynamics, making the championship less valid. According to Karl, these factors create an asterisk next to the Lakers’ 2020 title.

Some fans and analysts agree with Karl, arguing that the unique conditions of the bubble made the championship easier to win. They contend that the lack of travel and fan pressure removed critical elements that typically test a team’s resilience and performance.

Conversely, many defend the legitimacy of the bubble championship. They argue that the mental and physical challenges of playing in isolation, coupled with the global pandemic’s impact, created a unique but equally demanding environment. Supporters of LeBron and the Lakers maintain that overcoming these unprecedented conditions required exceptional focus and determination, validating the championship as legitimate.

Karl’s assertion that LeBron’s bubble ring is fraudulent directly impacts the ongoing discourse about LeBron’s legacy. Detractors have seized upon Karl’s comments to question the validity of LeBron’s accomplishments. However, supporters argue that such critiques are an attempt to undermine LeBron’s undeniable impact on the game and his stellar career achievements.

LeBron James has yet to publicly respond to Karl’s comments. Historically, LeBron has addressed criticism with a focus on his on-court performance and leadership. His silence on this issue suggests that he may prefer to let his future performances speak for themselves.

The concept of an asterisk in sports is not new. Various championships in different sports have faced scrutiny due to unique circumstances, such as strikes, shortened seasons, or controversial officiating. The debate over the bubble championship fits into this broader context of how external factors can influence the perception of a title’s legitimacy.

Regardless of the bubble championship controversy, LeBron James’ overall career remains extraordinary. With numerous records, four NBA championships, and multiple MVP awards, his contributions to the game are unparalleled. This debate, while significant, is just one part of the broader narrative of LeBron’s illustrious career.

George Karl’s explosive comments about LeBron James’ 2020 bubble championship have reignited debates over the legitimacy of titles won under unique circumstances. While Karl’s assertion that the bubble ring is fraudulent has found some support, many within the basketball community defend the legitimacy of the Lakers’ 2020 victory. This controversy highlights the ongoing challenges in assessing sports achievements and the factors that contribute to a championship’s perceived value. As the debate continues, LeBron James’ legacy, built on a foundation of excellence and resilience, remains a focal point of discussion in the world of sports.

Jason Kelce Thinks LeBron James Can Be The Greatest Red Zone Threat In The NFL Within One Offseason - Fadeaway World

Recent comments from former NBA role player Austin Rivers have sparked some online debate over whether NFL players could hypothetically hold their own in the NBA, and vice versa.

The conversation has seen multiple star athletes, past and present, weigh in to share their thoughts. After ESPN analyst Ryan Clark explained his belief that the mental fortitude required to play football would prove too difficult for some NBA players, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce chimed in with his stance on the matter.

Kelce explained that while he mostly agrees with Clark’s belief that NBA players wouldn’t be able to compete in the NFL, LeBron James would be the exception, going as far as to say he thinks the 39-year-old would be a star in the league.

Jason Kelce Makes Tearful Announcement About Final Decision on Retirement - Men's Journal

“I love this argument and passion from Ryan, and as a football player my mind is screaming hell yea!!! But, if I was an NFL GM, and it was an option, I’d sign LeBron today and within one offseason he’d be the greatest redzone threat in the NFL.”

At 6′ 8″ and hyper-athletic, it’s not difficult to see why the prospect of James as a tight end or wide receiver has been the topic of many discussions in the past. Kelce is among the many who believe that James would’ve been a generational pass catcher had he opted to pursue football, boldly claiming he’d be the biggest red zone threat in the game.

LeBron James’ Son Dismissed The Thought of Playing With His Father In NBA: I Want People To Remember My Name and Stop Calling Me Lebron James’s Son

The first time he contacted the media in nearly a year to talk about his dream of going to the NBA, Bronny shared quite a surprise about the possibility of playing with his father, LeBron James.

The fact that LeBron James wants to play on the same line as his son Bronny has been mentioned many times by the Los Angeles Lakers star. This is even one of LeBron’s top goals before he retires.

But from the eldest son in the James family, the 19-year-old boy shared the opposite. Bronny’s goal at this time is not to play with his father but simply to be able to set foot in the NBA.

“ My dream has always been for people to know me, to know my own name, and certainly to set foot in the NBA. I never thought about playing with my dad, knowing that my dad mentioned it quite a few times,” Bronny James shared.

“Trying to practice and improve myself to play in the NBA will be what makes me happy instead of thinking about going on the court with my dad. I didn’t put much emphasis on it and didn’t think about it much during the past time.

I’m just trying to improve myself, show myself well when I get the chance, and see how things go,” LeBron James’ 19-year-old son added.

Over the past two days, Bronny James joined 77 other players at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

This is an annual physical testing event organized by the NBA about 1 month before the NBA Draft. Young talents often appear and express themselves at the Draft Combine, where teams often send scouts to attend.

Bronny left a certain impression by placing second in both 3-point shooting tests. LeBron James’s son’s rebounding power was also very good, reaching 40.5 inches (equivalent to 1.02 meters), the third highest in the entire event.

After a series of individual tests, Bronny had 19 minutes on the field in a practice match with his teammates. Here he performed relatively well in defense and assists, but only achieved 2-8 FGs in the whole match.

Despite his plus points, Bronny James is still a long way from the NBA. His height of only 1 meter 85 meters will need to be compensated for by many other factors.

Bronny clearly understands this and aims to become a quality role player instead of a top star on a team like LeBron James.

“I don’t want to be a top star. In the NBA, there are many excellent players who own that role. My goal now is to find a suitable role and bring the values that the teams need,” Bronny James shared.

“That will be the thing that gets my name called in the NBA Draft or gets signed to play in the NBA. I’ve watched a lot of videos of Davion Mitchell, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White, role models who maximize their abilities in their assigned roles.”

Being realistic in setting career development goals shows that Bronny James is on the right track.

LeBron’s son does not have much experience in NCAA basketball with only 25 matches in a season. Besides, Bronny has only returned 9 months after suffering a cardiac arrest at a practice session at the University of Southern California (USC).

Speaking further about this, the 19-year-old player said: “ This has been a problem that has haunted me since that day. To this day, I’m still scared and thinking about it, but with the love of my parents and the support of my relatives, I believe I will completely overcome it.

I also don’t see this as an excuse when I don’t achieve my goals. Obviously, it’s a step back, but it won’t make me give up on the dream I’ve been pursuing for many years.”

In the immediate future, Bronny James will have many practice sessions with NBA teams to show himself to scouts. Then he will hope his name is called at the 2024 NBA Draft event taking place on June 27-28, 2024.

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G/F Paul George, PF P.J. Tucker

Los Angeles Clippers Receive: G Austin Reaves, F Rui Hachimura, G D’Angelo Russell, F Jarred Vanderbilt, 2024 or 2025 first-round pick

Paul George has some big decisions to make this summer.

Staying home in Los Angeles should be the priority, but the Clippers consistently losing Kawhi Leonard in or before the playoffs year after year has to be wearing on him.

George, 34, can become an unrestricted free agent and sign with a contender like the Philadelphia 76ers, yet injury concerns surround Joel Embiid as well.

With leverage since he can walk out the door and leave the Clippers with nothing, George should request a trade to the Lakers instead.

The combination of LeBron James (who would be more likely to re-sign with the Lakers himself), Anthony Davis and George would become one of the best Big Threes in all of basketball, improving L.A.’s outside shooting and overall defense in the process.

The Lakers would still have first-round picks in 2029 and 2031 to try to fill in the roster around their stars.

Trading George isn’t the Clippers’ first choice (especially not to the Lakers), but it would be far better than seeing the nine-time All-Star leave in free agency with nothing in return.

With Leonard and James Harden (free agent) left to build around, the Clippers would still have a competitive core with the additions of Reaves, Hachimura, Russell (who would need to pick up an $18.7 million player option), Vanderbilt, Norman Powell, Ivica Zubac, Terance Mann and Russell Westbrook ($4.0 million player option).

They would be younger, deeper and more athletic overall and also get the Lakers’ first-round pick in 2024 or 2025, whichever the New Orleans Pelicans choose not to take.

Although not common trade partners, the Lakers and Clippers have actually agreed on a pair of deals in the past five years. Pressure from George (who would need to pick up his $48.8 million player option) could get this trade done.

LeBron James Rumors: Lakers Plan to Sign Star to Contract at ‘Any Term That He Wants

The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to retain star LeBron James this offseason, and ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported Thursday that the team is willing to sign him to any length of term.Lakers Rumors: LeBron James 'Angling' To Sign Multiyear Lucrative Contract To Stay In Los Angeles

“The Lakers intend to have LeBron James come back on any term that he wants to,” McMenamin said on The Rich Eisen Show (16:15 mark). “Whether that be a one-year deal, two-year deal, three-year deal, whatever. They’d love to continue to have LeBron James in the purple and gold until he calls it quits, whenever that may be.”

May be an image of 2 people, people playing basketball, crowd and text that says 'CHAMP ni Π'

James has a player option this offseason and can stay with the Lakers for the 2024-25 season or hit free agency, leaving him with a big decision to make. He could choose to remain in Los Angeles alongside Anthony Davis in hopes of bringing home another championship before he retires, but he could explore his options elsewhere.

Davis signed a three-year extension with the Lakers ahead of the 2023 season, so he will remain in Los Angeles barring a trade.

Another element to factor in is James’ son, Bronny, who could be in the NBA next season. Bronny plans to enter the NBA draft, but also entered the transfer portal, so he still has the option of returning to college.

James said last year that he wanted to play with his son in the NBA, but it’s unclear if he will sign with whatever team—if any—selects Bronny.

Whatever James decides to do this offseason, he will likely have plenty of options. Despite being the oldest player in the league, James put up 25.7 points, 8.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds a year ago and has shown no signs of slowing down.

The Lakers are willing to be flexible with James about his contract, and that could play to their advantage as they look to re-sign him.
