    Whаt аre Steрhen Curry’ѕ рolitics?

    Cаry Edmondѕon-USA TODAY Sрorts

Curry hаsn’t been ѕhy to сritiсize former Preѕident Donаld Trumр аnd the modern-dаy Reрublican рarty. Golden Stаte never сelebrated іts 2017 аnd 2018 сhampionship wіth the twice-impeached former Preѕident аt the Whіte Houѕe, even ѕharing аn іnformal meetіng former Preѕident Bаrаck Obаmа іn Jаnuаry 2019 onсe he wаs out of offіce. The Wаrriors hаd рreviously been honored by Obаmа аt the Whіte Houѕe іn 2015 аfter wіnnіng theіr fіrst tіtle,  then returned іn 2022 when сurrent Preѕident Joe Bіden held the ovаl offіce.

In Oсtober 2022, Curry told  Rollіng Stone  thаt Trumр ѕhould be сonsidered а “ѕeriouѕ threаt” to Amerіca.

“Tаke Trumр ѕeriouѕly? Of сourse,” he ѕaid “Moѕt of hіs rhetoric—before he wаs рresident, durіng hіs lаst four yeаrs, аnd even now, іf he trіes to run аgаin—hаs а tone of dіvіsіveness thаt doeѕn’t hаve а рlace іn our сountry.”

Curry hаs donаted аnd rаised mіllіons of dollаrs to helр underѕerved mіnorіty сommunities throughout the Bаy Areа аnd аcross the сountry. Hіs рublic-facing сomments, сharitable effortѕ аnd рersonal relаtionship wіth Obаmа рaint Curry аs а Demoсrat. In the deeр-blue Bаy, though, he аnd hіs wіfe, Ayeѕha, сame under ѕcrutiny for reсently wrіtіng а letter іn oррosition to ѕegmentѕ of аn аffordаble houѕing рroрosal near theіr home іn uber-weаlthy Atherton, ѕome 30 mіles ѕouth of Chаse Center.

“Aѕ Atherton reѕidentѕ…we hаve been followіng аlong wіth the houѕing element uрdates wіth ѕpecial іnterest іn the 23 Oаkwood рroрerty,” the Curryѕ wrote іn а Jаnuаry 2023 letter to the town, рer Angelа Sсhwartz of The Almаnаc. “We heѕitate to аdd to the ‘not іn our bаckyаrd’ (lіterally) rhetorіc, but we wаnted to ѕend а note before todаy’s meetіng. Sаfety аnd рrivacy for uѕ аnd our kіds сontinues to be our toр рriority аnd one of the bіggest reаsons we сhose Atherton аs home.”

Curry, а devout Chrіstіan who grew uр аttending а рentecostal mega-church—where he аnd Ayeѕha fіrst met аs teenаgers—in North Cаrolinа, аlso hаsn’t been а full-throаted ѕupporter of аbortion rіghts.

“I hаve сertain belіefs thаt not everybody vіbes wіth,” he told Rollіng Stone three monthѕ аfter Roe v. Wаde wаs overturned. “Aѕ long аs there’ѕ equаlity, іn the ѕenѕe of you hаving аll your рrotections аnd your rіghts аs а сitizen, thаt ѕhould be the very low bаr for everybody to аdhere to.”

Pre-exіstіng сelebrity іs а mаssive аdvаntаge for nаscent рoliticians. Aѕ the moѕt рoрular аnd аccomplished аthlete іn the hіstory of Bаy Areа ѕportѕ аnd one of the moѕt fаmous рeoрle іn the сountry, Curry would no doubt hаve а future іn eleсtoral рolitics іf he wаnted one. For the Wаrriors’ ѕake, let’ѕ juѕt hoрe he рuts off thoѕe рrosрective аmbitions аs long аs рossible.

Davis makes NBA history in Lakers win over depleted Timberwolves - SportsDesk

In the match against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Davis had an impressive performance with 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals and 3 blocks. This achievement helped the Los Angeles Lakers win 120-109 against an opponent missing Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony-Towns for different reasons.

“We constantly strive and realize the importance of the match. The Timberwolves lack key players in the basket area, but they still have other names that can shine and win. We Just want to do my best to narrow the gap in the Western rankings,” Anthony Davis shared after the Lakers’ victory.

Join The Sporting News to look back at Anthony Davis’s top performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

ny Davis brought in 27 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists, 7 steals and 3 blocks in 39 minutes of play. It’s even more impressive to know that he is playing with a slight shoulder injury.

With this performance, Anthony Davis became the first player in NBA history to have more than 25 points, 25 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in just 1 game.

Not only that, Anthony Davis is also the first Los Angeles Lakers player to have 25 rebounds in a match, since Dwight Howard’s 26 rebounds back in 2013. If counted since 2000, there have only been 4 players named Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum and Shaquille O’Neal all have over 25 rebounds in a game.

With a current record of 36 wins – 30 losses, the Los Angeles Lakers will desperately need a healthy and top-level Anthony Davis for the rest of the season. Not to mention, the presence of Anthony Davis is extremely important for the Los Angeles Lakers when entering the Playoff phase.

Record for rebounds in an NBA match

Anthony Davis’ achievement of 25 rebounds is very impressive, but this is not this player’s personal record. He had 26 rebounds in January 2019, when he was still with the New Orleans Pelicans.

In the 2023/24 NBA season, Jusuf Nurkic is the player with the most rebounds in a game with 31 in the Phoenix Suns’ 110-118 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The record for rebounds in a game in NBA history is held by Wilt Chamberlain, with 55 times since 1960.

  • LeBron James on the Hunt for 4 Legendary Milestones to Further Establish His GOAT Status.

LeBron James on the Hunt for 4 Legendary Milestones to Further Establish His GOAT Status.

LeBron James on the Hunt for 4 Legendary Milestones to Further Establish His GOAT Status.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has seemingly broken every scoring record that exists, both in the regular season and the postseason.

James broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record last year, which was deemed unbreakable, and he recently crossed the 40,000-point mark. Which was also not expected for any player to do.

This speaks to the longevity of James, who has always prided himself on being in elite shape. His conditioning has also been unprecedented, as he’s still playing at an All-NBA level in his 21st season.

    Again, this is unheard of.

Since LeBron is clearly ways away from declining, it’s worth looking at which records he could break next. Let’s take a look at the next records ‘Bron could break in the near future.

4 records LeBron James is on the cusp of breaking:

    1. Field goals made

James currently sits at 14,687 field goals made in his career, which is good for second place. The aforementioned Abdul-Jabbar ranks first, with 15, 837, which is just 1,150 more than James. Assuming James plays at least 60 games from here on out, he would surely break this record by the 2025-26 season. Which would also be assuming he continues to play that long.

    2. Regular season games played

James could also break the NBA record for the most games played, as he currently ranks sixth, with 1,477 games. Robert Parish ranks first with 1,611 games played, which is just 134 more than LeBron. James could also break this record by 2026, although he’d have to play about 68 games per season, which might be a bit of a push. He can still get there though.

    3. Postseason assists

James pretty much holds every postseason record. Actually, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, as there are several that he doesn’t hold. But you get the point.

LeBron has the postseason record for games played, points scored, field goals made, free throws made, defensive rebounds, and steals. He’s too far behind in the rebounds column to catch up to Bill Russell, who is 1,600 boards ahead of the 39-year-old.

However, James has a good chance of passing Magic Johnson for the all-time postseason assists record, as he currently has 2,023 postseason assists, while Johnson ranks first with 2,346.

This is arguably the most difficult record to track, as it depends heavily on how far the Lakers go in the postseason (or whichever team James joins in the offseason). Assuming James at least reaches the second round (which might be a push this year), he’d break this record by the 2026 postseason.

    4. Minutes played

LeBron currently ranks second all-time in minutes played, behind only Abdul-Jabbar, who has 57, 446 minutes. James has 56, 055 minutes and has never played fewer than 1500 minutes in a season, even when he missed 37 games in 2020-21.

LeBron will surely break this record by the end of the 2024-25 season.

Anthony Davis had 27 points, a season-high 25 rebounds and a career-high seven steals while leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-109 victory over the short-handed Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night.

Davis added five assists and three blocked shots in one of the most prolific games of his decorated career. The nine-time All-Star feasted on a Minnesota lineup missing its top two big men and four regulars due to injuries, grabbing 21 rebounds in the second half alone and leading a 21-4 rally to begin the fourth quarter while the Lakers pulled away to their 12th win in 17 games.

“When we’re out there having fun, everybody’s confidence is high,” Davis said. “When we’re talking trash to the other team, we’re holding each other accountable, and we’re just playing the right way. We know what it takes. It’s just about having the consistency of playing that way each and every night.”

Davis is only the eighth player since the 1982-83 season with at least 25 points, 25 rebounds and five assists in a game, according to Sportradar. Nikola Jokic did it last season, joining a short list that includes Charles Barkley and Kevin Garnett.

“Ten offensive rebounds is crazy,” said Austin Reaves, who scored 19 points for Los Angeles. “I did feel any time we shot and missed, he was there to give us a second-chance opportunity with offensive rebounds, get himself to the line. The steals, I don´t know. The steals are crazy. Seven steals is very, very impressive.”

LeBron James had 29 points, nine assists and eight rebounds as the Lakers knocked off another top team following wins over Oklahoma City and Milwaukee on their six-game homestand. Los Angeles (36-30) is six games above .500 for the first time since the final day of the 2021-22 regular season.

Naz Reid scored 25 points and hit five 3-pointers in his first start of the season for Minnesota, which hit 16 of its season-high 46 3-point attempts. Reid delivered his second straight outstanding performance after scoring a career-high 34 against Cleveland last Friday, but the Wolves’ depleted interior defense couldn’t stop Davis without Rudy Gobert or Karl-Anthony Towns.

“This team is No. 2 in the West, and still a good team,” Davis said. “Obviously, they´re missing key parts of their team, but they still have guys who can make plays, and they still find a way to win ballgames. We just wanted to come out as a team effort and knowing that wherever we are in the standings and how important this game was, trying to close the gap in the standings.”

Anthony Edwards also scored 25 points for the Wolves, who have lost four of six. Minnesota missed nine consecutive shots to start the fourth quarter while Los Angeles pulled away.

“Ball movement dried up a little bit, but really it was the offensive rebounds at the other end of the floor that hurt us more in the fourth,” Minnesota coach Chris Finch said. “I felt confident we were able to come back, but so many second shots, and it’s difficult at that point. … (Davis) should have dominated us. He had size. He had length. He had all that stuff. He was in the paint for seven, eight seconds every time they shot the ball. It’s easy to go get it. But we’ve got to do a better job rooting him out.”

James returned after sitting out due to injury for the ninth time this season when the Lakers stunned Milwaukee 123-122 on Friday night behind D’Angelo Russell’s 44-point performance. Davis injured his left shoulder during that game in a collision with Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it didn’t visibly slow him.

Edwards played through an ankle injury, but Gobert sat out with right hamstring tightness. Gobert, who missed his third game of the season, was fined $100,000 by the NBA earlier Sunday for a series of transgressions questioning the integrity of the NBA’s officiating Friday.

Towns missed his third straight game for Minnesota since being diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee. The big man is likely to be sidelined until the postseason following surgery.

Kyle Anderson also sat out with right shoulder pain, and Monte Morris missed his second straight game with a strained left hamstring.

Lakers swingman Cam Reddish was ruled out with a sprained right ankle. It was the second additional game he has missed since he returned from a monthlong injury absence in late February.

USC Basketball: LeBron James Gifts Trojans New Sneakers For Pac-12 Tournament

The USC Trojans didn’t have the best season after being ranked in the top 25 to start the season. However, the Trojans have a chance to turn their season around if they can turn things on and win the Pac-12 tournament.

The Pac-12 tournament begins on Wednesday, and the Trojans will kick things off in Las Vegas. A win is pivotal if they want to keep their tournament hopes alive. USC will look to play well while they look good.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar and father of Bronny James, LeBron James, gifted the boys sneakers before their conference tournament.

James will send the boys out in style with a pair of his sneakers customized in cardinal red, gold, and white.

USC is a Nike school, and James is the company’s most significant member, so it only makes sense for him to give the program an incredible gift. The four-time NBA champion and MVP has some of the best basketball kicks in his collection.

The number nine seed Trojans will take on the number eight seed Washington Huskies on Wednesday at noon PT. The winner of that game will play the number one seed, Arizona Wildcats. The road to the NCAA tournament starts on Wednesday; we’ll see if the Trojans can do the impossible.

Lakers News: Former No. 1 Pick, LeBron James Teammate Unpacks How He Makes The Game Easier

Your 36-30 Los Angeles Lakers remain in the thick of the playoff hunt this season. Though they occupy the ninth seed in the Western Conference, they’re currently just four games behind the fifth-seeded New Orleans Pelicans.

And 20-time All-Star small forward LeBron James is, once again, the head of the snake. The 6’9″ vet, playing in his 21st NBA season, leads his team in scoring (25.3 points per on .530/.407/.742 shooting splits) and passing (eight assists), while ranking second in rebounds behind only fellow All-Star Anthony Davis (7.1 boards).

The 39-year-old has been at it a long time. So long, in fact, that he was once teammates with former 1995 No. 1 draft pick Joe Smith while on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Smith spoke with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson about how James helps improve all his comrades through his versatile game.

“He makes everybody’s game easier!” Smith observed. “He draws so much attention out there on the floor with what he can do offensively that sometimes all eyes are on him. When he has the ball sometimes at the top of the key all the defense’s eyes are watching him trying to figure out what he’s going to do. Whenever he has the ball midrange or whenever you’re running the break with him, he’s so unselfish with the basketball that he’s going to make the correct play and the correct pass and you know it as a teammate so you’re gonna do whatever you can to get to the right spot. I grew up a Magic Johnson fan so kind of to answer the question between what you’re not asking [laughing], I grew up a Magic fan and he reminds me a lot of Magic with the way he plays and makes his teammates around him better. I just love watching him and he’s my favorite player to watch today. The way he plays and how he’s able to see the court and find guys whether it’s in transition or whether it’s out of a double team, it’s more Magic Johnson-like. And that’s something that I’ve always admired about him because I grew up a Magic fan. A lot of people used to give him hell because he used to pass out of the double teams and make the right basketball play, you know? But real basketball minds really admire when your best player draws the double team and has the confidence in you to knock down shots.”

When Robinson pitched James as a combination of Scottie Pippen, Penny Hardaway and Jamal Mashburn, along with some Charles Barkley post play, Smith (a power forward who’s no stranger to the painted area himself), pounced on the idea.

“Wow! I can see that,” Smith said. “He definitely has the strength of a Barkley down there on the blocks. Mashburn as well. People forget how crafty Mashburn was with that basketball whether it’s back to the basket or whether it’s his face up game, Jamal Mashburn was real crafty with that basketball and it enabled to create angles that he needed to get to the basket and finish, so yeah I can definitely see those combinations.”

Kim Kardashian poses with son Saint, eight, amid conflict with ex-husband Kanye West over kids’ schooling

Kim Kardashian appeared on Instagram on Saturday to share a single photo with her second child, son Saint.

The 43-year-old mogul and her eight-year-old son, who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, posed side by side in the snap.

Kardashian — who is also mom to North, ten, Chicago, six, and Psalm, four — donned sleek, wraparound sunglasses and puckered her famous pout.

She was dressed in a nude turtleneck layered underneath a black, long-sleeve, zip-up Balenciaga jacket.

It comes after Kanye, 46, took to social media this week to blast their latest parenting disagreement.

Kim Kardashian appeared on Instagram on Saturday to share a single photo with her second child, son Saint

In the caption of her weekend post, the mother-of-four simply used a single spade emoji.

The post has so far racked up more than 260,000 likes from her 364 million followers on the popular photo-sharing app.

The photo showed a wide-eyed Saint playfully poking out his tongue and holding his index finger over his mouth.

Kardashian is reportedly upset with Kanye after he begged her to remove their children from an exclusive elementary school via a note posted to Instagram.

‘Kim take my kids out of Sierra Canyon now it’s a fake school for celebrities that are used by “the system,”‘ Kanye express in all capital letters.

A source told TMZ that Kim ‘is frustrated with his constant public attacks and naming of the school because it creates safety and security concerns each and every time for their children.’

She is also frustrated that the rap artist told their children that ‘school isn’t necessary,’ according to the insider.

The person close to the situation added that Kim enrolled the kids at Sierra Canyon for its reputation as a ‘fantastic school’ and because ‘their children need consistency in their lives.’

It comes after Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, 46, took to social media this week to blast their latest parenting disagreement

West urged his ex to take their kids out of Sierra Canyon and claimed the ‘system’ has taken his kids from him

‘The only solution Kanye has offered in [place] of the school — where the kids have been enrolled since pre-school — has been to place them with unaccredited teachers and his own unaccredited Donda school, which has been riddled with lawsuits,’ added the insider.

The source also said Kim did permit their children to participate in after-school activities at Donda, but the school has since closed down.

In Kanye’s post, he cryptically elaborated on the ‘system.’

‘At this point everybody knows what “the system” is code word for,’ he stated.

‘I was removed from my dad by the system and the system removed me from my children,’ he claimed, though a judge awarded Kim and Kanye joint custody with ‘equal access’ to their children at the conclusion of their custody battle.

‘When the system drafts athletes they avoid working with those who have their father in their life because they are harder to manipulate,’ he continued.

Kardashian is reportedly upset with Kanye after he publicly begged her to remove their children from their exclusive elementary school

The rapper concluded: ‘My two oldest know [their] daddy is.’

The exes previously worked out a compromise in which the children would attend Sierra Canyon for the school day, then go to West’s school for choir practice.

In 2022, Kim began paying for Sierra Canyon to hire additional security in response to her ex-husband’s controversial and offensive comments, including several antisemitic outbursts.

However, she made it clear that she wasn’t concerned about West harming the children, but that she feared for their safety after he publicly named their school during a rant about their education.

EXCLUSIVE: Real reason Kim Kardashian gave up on her ‘failed’ law career after facing ‘setback’

Kim Kardashian wanted to follow in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps and pursue a career in law, but she’s had to give up on her dreams because of her busy life

Kim Kardashian will “no doubt feel disappointment” after giving up her dreams of becoming a lawyer, according to an expert.

The 43-year-old studied hard to try and follow in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps and even passed the baby bar exam. However, a source has said Kim’s business ventures and family life have taken centre stage and forced her to give up on her law dreams.

The reality star owns a number of companies and has to find the time to look after her four kids. PR expert Mayah Riaz has suggested Kim gave up on studying law after facing a “setback”, but insisted she should be commended for her decision.

It’s thought she’s given up on her dreams ( Image: Instagram)

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, the PR to the stars said: “Only Kim will know if the decision to give up law is right for her – and as she has come to this decision, it seems it is the right one for her. On one hand it could be seen as a setback or failure, especially considering the public statements she made about her passion for pushing for prison reform.

“And it will no doubt lead to some disappointment among her fans and those who admired her for taking on such a challenging endeavour.” However, Mayah added: “It’s important to remember that everyone has their own priorities and limitations, and I’d say it’s commendable that Kim recognises her own limitations and made the decision to prioritise her family and other business ventures.

“It’s no secret that she found the study process tedious and challenging, and there’s something to be said about prioritising mental well-being and avoiding burnout.” Despite making a decision that was right for her, Mayah said Kim might still feel some disappointment.

She explained: “In terms of her father’s memory, Kim will have no doubt felt disappointment and sadness about having to give up her law journey. But I would suggest that she remembers that honouring someone’s memory can take many forms and she can continue to support prison reform efforts through other means.

“She has a huge platform which she can use to raise awareness or could financially supporting relevant organisation – and that too can be in her father’s memory. I don’t think this will have a negative impact on Kim’s image and reputation. She has given it a go and now won’t be wondering ‘what if’ when she looks back at this period.”

A source previously said Kim found the “never-ending study” for her law exams “tedious”. They told The Sun: “She can’t drop it without looking bad, looking like she couldn’t pass it after all the work and all of her talk about how passionate she was about pushing for prison reform.”

They continued: “She really struggled with the study, hated having to do the outlines and essays required to even be at a competent level and it was going to take her a few years of study to pass the exams and a few likely fails. She did some midterm exams last year and they finished her off.”
