The Warriors got 18 poiпts from Cυrry, foυr less thaп the team-high 22 scored by Aпdrew Wiggiпs.

As the Christmas mayhem settles, the Warriors fiпd themselves a half-game behiпd the Los Aпgeles Lakers for the 9th spot iп the Westerп Coпfereпce.

With both veteraп teams stariпg υp at the Hoυstoп Rockets aпd New Orleaпs Pelicaпs, it’s hard пot to пotice the age differeпce betweeп the two sets of possible coпteпders.

Next υp for the Warriors is a home matchυp with Jimmy Bυtler aпd the Miami Heat. It’s aпother key matchυp with a former NBA Fiпalist that qυalifies as aпother opportυпity for Cυrry aпd the Warriors to prove their mettle, regardless of the officiatiпg.

After all, based oп the latest υpdates, Cυrry is recoveriпg пicely aпd is oп path to make a qυick retυrп from iпjυry.

Goldeп State Warriors’ Stepheп Cυrry Spotted

Accordiпg to a receпt report by NBA iпsider Moпte Poole, Cυrry–who sυffered a right aпkle iпjυry last Thυrsday agaiпst the Chicago Bυlls–was receпtly spotted eпteriпg the Warriors’ facility withoυt a walkiпg boot. It’s defiпitely a positive sigп siпce it sυggests that Cυrry’s iпjυry is пot that serioυs.

Fυrthermore, Cυrry did have crυtches to aid his walkiпg, bυt he was пot υsiпg it.

“Best пews the Warriors got today: Stepheп Cυrry, per a very reliable soυrce, walked iпto the facility iп the пooп hoυr weariпg shoes – пo boot to protect his right aпkle. Did have crυtches bυt was пot υsiпg them,” Poole reported oп X.

The Warriors lost to the Saп Aпtoпio Spυrs oп Satυrday withoυt Cυrry, so it’s clear they пeed their sυperstar gυard back as sooп as possible. Fortυпately, there’s a good chaпce that the GOAT shooter retυrпs sooпer rather thaп later.

    Stepheп Cυrry Iпjυry Update

Earlier oп Satυrday, the Goldeп State Warriors coпfirmed that Stepheп Cυrry’s receпt MRI came back cleaп. However, they still rυled oυt the star gυard for their back-to-back games agaiпst the Saп Aпtoпio Spυrs to give him some time to recover.

As meпtioпed, Cυrry will be re-evalυated oп Tυesday wheп his statυs moviпg forward will be determiпed. Lυckily for Dυbs faпs, the cleaп MRI aпd short re-evalυatioп gap sυggests a пoп-serioυs issυe.

“Goldeп State Warriors gυard Stepheп Cυrry, who exited Thυrsday’s game agaiпst the Chicago Bυlls with 3:51 remaiпiпg iп the foυrth qυarter dυe to a right aпkle iпjυry, υпderweпt aп MRI yesterday. The MRI iпdicated пo strυctυral damage to the joiпt aпd coпfirmed the iпjυry as a spraiпed aпkle. Cυrry will пot play iп toпight’s game agaiпst the Saп Aпtoпio Spυrs aпd will be re-evalυated agaiп oп Tυesday,” the team said iп their medical υpdate oп Cυrry.

All the sigпs poiпt to a qυick retυrп for Cυrry. Hopefυlly, he doesп’t sυffer aпy setback, especially with the Dυbs aimiпg to stay iп the playoff hυпt oυt West.

Is LeBron James Beefing With Wife Post-Viral, Touchy-Feely Jeanie Buss Clip?

LeBron James fans are under the impression that he’s in big trouble with his wife Savannah following a touchy encounter with the owner of the Lakers franchise.

While his teammates battled it out on the court, James was caught in a viral video sitting between Lakers controlling owner Jeanie Buss and executive director Linda Rambis. More specifically, the free and lingering nature of the physical contact between Buss, James and Rambis during this encounter appears to have resulted in tongues wagging and fans believing Savannah has the NBA champion in the doghouse.

Immediately following the clip, a viral photo of James and Savannah on the sidelines at Bronny’s USC game over the weekend sparked even more speculation based on the couple’s subdued expressions. As a result, the interaction has sparked several discussions and memes on social media, as users attribute Buss to being the equivalent of a “work wife” for James.

Not to mention, everyone from casual hoop fans to professional athletes themselves have commented on the incident. In fact, the clip even managed to reach infamy on Twitter (X), where former NFL player Antonio Brown added the moment to his CTESPN Sports Center Top 10 clips over the weekend.

Despite all of the hullabaloo, the real conversation Buss, James and Rambis were having was allegely fare more lighthearted and innocent in nature than we’ve been lead to believe. Apparently, Buss and Rambis were reacting to James wishing them a Happy International Women’s Day and giving them their professional flowers.

3x NBA champion shockingly predicts Lakers vs Nuggets WCF rematch

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers rolled into Sacramento on Wednesday night as winners of two straight games vs elite competition and looking for a win that would springboard them up the Western Conference playoff standings. Instead, the Lakers were run off the floor vs the Kings for the fourth time this season, and James looked every bit of his 39 years of age in what was one of his worst performances of the campaign.

Still, the Lakers are not without their optimists around the league. During Thursday evening’s NBC Sports Chicago broadcast of the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Chicago Bulls, Chicago commentator and former NBA champion Stacey King made a prediction that this year’s Western Conference Finals will be a repeat of what fans were treated to last year.

“I would not be surprised if you see Denver [Nuggets] and the Lakers in the Western Conference [Finals],” said King, per ClutchPoints on X, the social media platform formerly referred to as Twitter

Of course, it was ten months ago that Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets swept LeBron James and the Lakers out of the playoffs, although it should be noted in fairness to Los Angeles that it was one of the most competitive sweeps you will ever see, as each game went down to the closing minutes.

In any case, the Lakers have their work cut out for them if they hope to make another deep playoff run this spring, as they currently sit in the Play-In portion of the standings.

Lakers News: LeBron James Gets Honest About Facing The Kings

For the fourth time this season, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost to the Sacramento Kings. Despite going into the matchup looking to avenge their three previous losses and put themselves in a better position to move up the Western Conference standings, the Lakers lost again.

In particular, the Lakers fell out of the game during the third quarter of the 120-107 defeat. In the third, the Lakers scored just 17 points to the Kings’ 28 points, putting the game out of reach.

After the game, LeBron James credited the Kings for getting the win, while admitting the Kings had posed a challenge for them. “Offensively, we just couldn’t get it going and they did. Really good team. They have our number this year, for sure … They do a really good job of passing the ball, spreading the ball, moving bodies. When they’re knocking down threes, they’re very difficult to guard them.”

Though the Lakers were able to prevent De’Aaron Fox from going off for 44 points like he did a week ago, the Kings found other ways to win. Harrison Barnes and Keegan Murray both were effective in hitting threes, as Barnes went 7-for-11 and Murray went 5-for-10 on three-point attempts. Domantas Sabonis once again put up a triple-double for the Kings, helping the Kings succeed in all facets of the game.

Now, the Lakers have fallen to 36-31 while the Kings move up to 38-27 as only 15 games remain in the season. If the Lakers do make the postseason or have to face the Kings in the play-in tournament, it could spell trouble for their chances at a deep run this year.

The son of Lakers superstar LeBron James has a decision to make about the 2024 NBA Draft

The son of Lakers superstar LeBron James has a decision to make about the 2024 NBA Draft

Bronny James’ NBA Draft decision: Son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James could return to USC or turn pro

Bronny James’ freshman season at USC came to a close on Thursday with a 70-49 loss to Arizona in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament quarterfinals. The son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James appeared in 25 games during the 2023-24 season after missing the first eight games of his college career due to a scary health incident that saw him go into cardiac arrest during a summer workout.

With USC’s season in the books, a looming question hovers over Bronny. Will the 19-year-old declare for the 2024 NBA Draft or will he return for the 2024-25 season to help lead USC into its transition as a Big Ten program?

“It’s up to him,” LeBron said on Bronny’s draft status during NBA All-Star Game Weekend last month. “It’s up to the kid. Obviously we gonna go through the whole process. He’s still in season now, has the Pac-12 tournament coming up. … We gonna weigh our options, and we gonna let the kid make the decision.”

Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, who represents both Lebron and Bronny, said earlier this month that he doesn’t “value a young player getting into the lottery as much as I do getting him on the right team in the right developmental situation.”

Outside of LeBron making public comments about his son, Bronny himself hasn’t given much indication of what he will do. Bronny spoke publicly only once this season and that came after his collegiate debut against Long Beach State on Dec. 10.

After losing to LBSU, he appeared at the podium for less than a minute to give a statement thanking doctors, trainers, and the support system that helped him return to play. The Pac-12 Tournament allows for open locker rooms for media, but James did not speak.

“I just want to say I’m thankful for everything,” Bronny said after the LBSU game. “The Mayo Clinic, everything they helped me with. My parents, siblings for supporting me through this hard time in my life. I just want to give appreciation to everyone who’s helped me through this.”

Here are five things you need to know about Bronny’s potential decision

    1. Bronny’s season was limited

It’s easy to forget that Bronny’s freshman season was cut short because of the scary incident from over the summer. James missed USC’s overseas trip to Greece and Croatia for a three-game summer tour and was absent from the start of fall workouts before returning to the court in early December. If James didn’t miss time this past offseason, it’s possible he would’ve worked himself into a larger role from Day 1. Bronny did have a chance to make a few starts this season when fellow freshman star Isaiah Collier went down with a hand injury. With Collier returning last month, Bronny’s minutes have decreased. The best news of all is that Bronny is now healthy. His return to the court should be celebrated and not overlooked because of his last name.

    2. LeBron’s influence on Bronny

It’s no secret that LeBron desires to play with his son in the NBA. He’s been public about it for years.

“I need to be on the floor with my boy,” LeBron told ESPN in Jan. 2023. “I got to be on the floor with Bronny. Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him…I don’t mean like guarding one another all game – because he’s a point guard and I’m a – at this point now I’m playing center or whatever the team needs from me. But I would love to do the whole Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. thing. That would be ideal for sure.”

LeBron has a player option for the 2024-25 NBA season that he could hypothetically decline, which can create an easier path for the two to pair up next season in the league. The Lakers own their own second-round pick for the 2024 NBA Draft. The New Orleans Pelicans own the Lakers first-round pick and have the right to receive their 2025 first-round pick instead.

You can’t blame LeBron for wanting to play at the highest level with his son. With LeBron being one of the most influential athletes in sports, it shouldn’t be surprising that if anyone can pull it off, it’s him. After all, Bronny has to declare for the upcoming NBA Draft first.

    3. What is Bronny’s draft stock?

Bronny’s overall stats weren’t great this season, but that won’t prevent a respective team from drafting him.The 2024 NBA Draft class is a mystery because it’s one of the weaker draft classes at the top in nearly a decade. That could ultimately benefit James and convince him to declare for the draft if a team wants to take a swing on a prospect with upside.

Bronny’s projections will be all over the place if he declares. Bronny’s 3-point percentage has been a surprise disappointment because of what he showed at the high school/AAU level. The younger James has a high basketball IQ like his father. Two of his greatest strengths are facilitating and playing defense — both of which can translate to the next level.

If Bronny proves during workouts that he can knock down the long ball at a much more respectable clip, his draft stock will go up. James hasn’t been included as a first-round pick in any of the recent mock drafts by CBS Sports.

    4. What happens if he returns to USC?

If James elects to return to school this fall, it would be a massive boost for USC. James could help usher in a new era of Trojans basketball in their first season as a member of the Big Ten. He would also become a focal point on both ends of the floor and would become a prime candidate to start in his sophomore season.

Boogie Ellis, Kobe Johnson and Collier are all expected to declare for the NBA Draft this summer. That means if Bronny does return, he will be one of the more experienced players on the roster. The Trojans are bringing in four-star guard Trent Perry, three-star forward Brody Kozlowski and three-star guard Liam Campbell in their 2024 recruiting class to replace production they’re likely to lose to the next level.

Returning to school would allow Bronny to go through a full offseason. While returning to school appears to be less likely than declaring for the draft, it could be a viable option to improve his draft stock for the 2025 NBA Draft.

    5. Why the NBA is the most likely option

Declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft appears to be the most likely option for Bronny for many reasons.

The most obvious is LeBron won’t be in the league forever. Declaring for the draft this year would allow the maximum amount of time to play out as a father-son duo in the NBA. Another reason: Bronny will get an opportunity in the NBA no matter what. That could be as someone on a regular contract or as a two-way player. It would seem logical for the Lakers to do everything to keep LeBron happy.

This draft class isn’t filled with blue-chip talent as it has been in recent years. That’s not to say Bronny will be a first-round pick if he does declare, but the chances of him getting drafted higher are much more likely.

Regardless of his last name, Bronny is a talented player. There’s a reason why he was a four-star prospect, McDonald’s All-American and one of the highest-ranked recruits in USC history. Bronny’s decision will be one to watch in the coming days and weeks.

His decision — no matter what  — will have a seismic impact on USC, the NBA Draft, or the hope of seeing Bronny and LeBron play together at the next level.

Prior to teaming with star forward LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell sought out his advice.

While speaking to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Russell revealed the suggestions he received from James prior to his lone All-Star season in 2018-19.

“I was like, ‘Bro, how do you become more consistent of a player?’” Russell said. “He said, ‘I read. I sleep. I eat. My routine is on point.’ I still got the text. And honestly, he was the reason I developed a routine.”

It’s no surprise that Russell took James’ guidance to heart, as McMenamin noted that the 28-year-old “grew up idolizing” him. He even admitted earlier this month that he cried when seeing James play in person for the first time as a child.

“When I was a kid and I’d shoot those jump shots, I’d say, ‘Jordan! Kobe!’” Russell’s father, Antonio, told McMenamin. “He was coming through dunking socks on a hanger basketball goal in the room, like, ‘I’m Bron!’”

Now, Russell is a key running mate for James as he tries to lead the Lakers on another postseason run. Los Angeles is ranked ninth in the Western Conference with a 36-30 record, so the team will need multiple players, including Russell, to step up and support James if it hopes to make it out of the play-in tournament.

When LeBron James reacted to Larry Bird wanting to play with Kobe Bryant instead of him: “I’m an easy target, and I understand that”

LeBron says Bird picked Kobe because he had five rings, and he had none.

Back in 2012, Bill Simmons asked Larry Bird whom he’d rather have as a teammate – Kobe Bryant or LeBron James. Instead of answering the question directly, Larry Legend gave a controversial reply.

Bird said that if he wanted to win, he would pick Kobe. But if he wanted to have fun, he would choose LeBron. When word of Larry’s statement reached Bron, the young King said the Celtics legend was merely counting championships.

“I mean, it’s simple,” James said. “Kobe has five rings, and I have none. It’s easy to say that. If I got five rings and Kobe had none, it’d probably be the other way around.”

    An easy target

When Bird was interviewed, Kobe had won five NBA championships, three with Shaq and two with Pau Gasol. Meanwhile, LeBron’s Big 3 Heat were upset by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals. So, as far as LBJ was concerned, Larry merely picked Bryant because of rings.

Aside from that, LeBron also said he was the most recognizable personality and the best player in the league during that time. Because of that, every mistake he made became a big thing, and it was always too easy for his critics to throw stones at him.

“I’m an easy target — let’s say that,” added James. “When someone wants to get a point across, just throw LeBron’s name in there. If you’re watching cartoons with your kids and you don’t like i,t you say, ‘Blame it on LeBron.’ If you go to the grocery store and they don’t have the milk that you like, you say, ‘It’s LeBron’s fault. I’m an easy target, and I understand that. It doesn’t get to me at all.”

LeBron is the most scrutinized player in NBA history

James was the most highly-touted prospect in the history of the league, and because of the hype surrounding him, expectations were high. But no matter how high those expectations were, LeBron always passed them with flying colors. Well, everything except winning in the NBA Finals.

That year, James was still looking for his first-ever NBA championship. He took the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2007 NBA Finals, where they were swept by the San Antonio Spurs. Then, in his first season in Miami, the Heat were stunned by the Dallas Mavericks during the 2011 NBA Finals. With an 0-2 Finals record at that time, why would Bird pick him over Kobe?

Since then, LeBron has won a total of four championships for three different cities. He captured back-to-back titles in Miami in 2011-12 and 2012-13, got the Cavs their first-ever chip in 2015-16, and added the Lakers’ 17th banner in 2019-20. James is also now the NBA’s all-time scoring leader so it’s interesting to see if Larry would still pick Kobe over him right now.
