As a result, the average distance from the rim has climbed from 12.2 feet (in Curry’s rookie season) to 14.3 during the 2021-22 season.

The pace of the game has also significantly increased as a ripple effect of Curry’s 3-point revolution. Before Stephen Curry entered the league, the average pace was around 90. However, it has risen to an average of 98 in recent seasons. The increase in the pace of NBA games has resulted in more possessions and led to more offensive basketball. Just a decade ago, the Clippers had the highest offensive rating by a team in 2013-14, with a 112.1 rating. However, by standards of the 2023-24 season, this rating would rank as the sixth-lowest offensive performance.

The home featured stunning views of Beverly Hills and the Pacific Ocean, but James had a different vision of how to use the property.

The foundations of LeBron’s new Los Angeles mansion appear to be nearly complete with walls starting to go up on the construction site.

Retaining walls and pillars can also be seen around the property as part of the mansion appears to be going over the hillside.

James already has an impressive real estate portfolio, but this new mansion will be the cherry on top.

He currently owns a $23 million mansion in Brentwood, California which he purchased in 2017.

The 16,000 square-foot estate is his primary residence and has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

The house has features such as a movie theater, wine cellar, cigar room, and spa complete with a steam room, sauna, and massage room.

That home features a two-lane bowling alley, a recording studio, a movie theater, an aquarium, and a barbershop.

Former Chicago Bulls guard B.J. Armstrong, who played on the Bulls’ first three-peat team, argues that The Big Fundamental is the second-best player of all-time behind MJ.

“Tim Duncan was a marvelous player,” said Armstrong. “He played the game from the four, the five position. He was one of the unique players, like a Michael Jordan, who could get to spaces on the court you couldn’t do anything about.”

Armstrong went on to declare that if there was a player who would’ve given the Bulls and Jordan personally the most issues during their championship runs, it would’ve been Timmy. Fortunately for them, Duncan was drafted in 1997, so he was a rookie during their Last Dance.

 

Overall, Duncan only played five games against MJ and the Bulls, all during the regular season. Jordan won their head-to-head meeting 3-2, but in those five games, Duncan averaged 21.6 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game, and he was still a rookie that year.

“Technically speaking,” added B.J. “Tim Duncan, to me, is a player that is really as unique a talent as I’ve seen in the NBA. And you’re going to have a player that’s going to counter a talent like Michael Jordan, who was utmost flawless technically in his game, Tim Duncan can do that. He can do things not only offensively but defensively. He can control the game, and I thought he was very unique.”
