Give Travis Kelce this: He knows he’s not the reason the NFL attracted more female viewers in 2023.

‘Obviously, this is mostly because Taylor’s in my life now and we got her [to be] part of Chiefs Kingdom,’ the Kansas City tight end told Westwood One’s Laura Okmin of girlfriend Taylor Swift in a resurfaced interview. ‘And sure enough, that brought an entire entourage of human beings who just love to support her and love to support everything that she’s about.’

Kelce has come under fire for an apparent lack of self-awareness in the wake of last week’s parade shooting, when he was seen celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory as Kansas City was still reeling from a tragedy that left one dead and 22 wounded. He has since donated $100,000 to victims through a GoFundMe page.

But speaking before his third Super Bowl victory earlier this month, the 34-year-old tight end, podcaster and pitchman seemed far more conscious of his media impact.

Kelce admitted he was ‘very aware’ that his relationship with Swift has drawn a record number of female fans to the NFL. (According to Morning Consult, 64 percent of Gen Z and Millennial women now have a favorable few of the NFL – a record, according to the business analytics company)

While stressing that that he’s remained focus on football (a point he later bolstered with his third Super Bowl win), Kelce acknowledged that much of the attention he’s receiving has nothing to do with the game.

‘With that being said, I do, you know, have a guarded approach to it,’ Kelce said. ‘But at the same time, I know what me and Taylor have is special, so I get [the interest].’

And as with seemingly everything in Kelce’s life, he said his relationship with Swift has ‘been a fun ride,’ adding that it was ‘beautiful’ that dads are starting to bond with their girls over football.

Now Kelce heads into a long off-season, where it will be his turn to cheer on Swift from the sidelines.

The former All-Pro recently told his podcast listeners that he could ‘venture to an island real soon’ – an apparent reference to Swift’s ongoing tour in Australia (which is actually a continent and not really an ‘island’).

Taylor Swift brought out a new piece of jewelry for her dinner date with Eras Tour opener Sabrina Carpenter in Sydney Monday night: the aptly named T-Bar Curb Link Necklace from London designer Tilly Sveaas.

“It’s amazing seeing Taylor Swift wearing our iconic necklace. She has always paved her own way and broken all rules and records,” Sveaas tells Page Six Style of spotting the superstar in one of her “timeless pieces inspired by the past and created for the now.”

Sveaas sells dozens of different T-bar pieces, some of which have been spotted on British beauties including Florence Pugh, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Rita Ora and Phoebe Dynevor.

The design “effortlessly spans the eras” and was initially inspired by her great-great-uncle’s gold pocket watch and chain, which Sveaas used to wear around her neck and wrist.

True to that family heirloom, Swift’s necklace can be styled “multiple ways,” as the jeweler tells us.

“The T-bar slides off the chain so that the chain can be worn on its own if desired,” she says, adding that you can even wrap the chain around your wrist a few times and wear it as a bracelet.

Swift’s been steadily building her jewelry wardrobe in recent months as she prepares to enter another era of her own.

She’s shown off a slew of special pieces paying tribute to her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, including a “TNT” bracelet that matches the tight end’s, a tiny ring inspired by his football jersey and an enormous cocktail ring featuring both of their birthstones.

Travis dad, Ed, hinted that his NFL star son could be considering heading Down Under to reunite with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

 

The popstar hit the road again almost immediately after watching her tight end beau lift the Lombardi Trophy for a third time at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, jetting to Australia where she performed three shows in Melbourne last week.

The songstress is continuing her sold-out show in Sydney this week and with the NFL season and Super Bowl celebrations now wound-down, Travis could be considering a trip down to Australia to watch his girlfriend perform.

That’s according to his dad, Ed, who told the Sydney Morning Herald: ‘Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl , and I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen.

‘He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore, but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments. He is at a celebrity charity golf outing today, which, I think, is in Las Vegas.

Travis and Taylor have juggled their schedules to squeeze in time together with the singer attending 13 of his games this NFL season, including making a mad dash back from Tokyo to Vegas to make it to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Travis took advantage of the Chiefs bye week in November to play the role of doting boyfriend and watch Taylor perform to thousands of adoring fans in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

However, while America’s favorite couple appear to be managing their schedules well so far, Ed admitted he did have his concerns about the future for the two highly-successful lovebirds.

‘I won’t pretend that I don’t worry about it, he is my son, and I worry about him because they will have some challenges in their relationship for sure,’ Ed said. ‘But they seem a good fit, and ultimately, they just need to find their way together.’

With the Super Bowl now out of the way, Travis should have a relatively open diary throughout the NFL offseason until training camp with the Chiefs starts up in September.

Meanwhile, after her stint in Sydney, Swift has six shows in Singapore before she has two months off.

Touring then restarts on May 9 in Paris and Swift will be on the road until mid-August, by which point Kelce will have returned to practice with the Chiefs for the new NFL season, which begins in early September.

Jason Kelce and wife Kylie Kelce are all about celebrating family.

Less than two weeks after welcoming daughter Bennett Llewellyn, the newly-minted family of five celebrated daughter Elliotte Ray’s second birthday, as Kylie shared on Instagram Monday.

“A few days late, but Elliotte is officially 2!” Kylie captioned a set of pictures, which show the toddler smiling in a floral nightgown and winter beanie, standing and smiling in her crib and later in a store with her mom and big sister Wyatt, 3.

In a video shared, Kylie and her daughters were strolling around the store when the toddler spotted a t-shirt with the Philadelphia Eagles center’s face on it and pointed, saying, “dada” and “daddy” sweetly.

The mom of three, 30, also shared a photo on her Instagram Story of her homemade Bluey cake for the birthday girl.

“I said that as long as Ellie looked at this and said ‘It’s Bluey,’ that it would be a success,” she wrote. “When I asked her who was on the cake, she shrugged and said, ‘a bunny?’ ”

Speaking with PEOPLE 38 weeks into her pregnancy as she prepared to see her husband compete in Super Bowl LVII, Kylie opened up about what she loves about Jason as a girl dad.

“I don’t think in his life, Jason ever assumed that he would be the father of three daughters,” Kylie told PEOPLE.

“He would always be like, ‘No, no, we’ll get a boy. We’ll get a boy.’ And I’m like, ‘You got to stop challenging the universe. Stop saying it because you’re the universe is like, ‘Yeah, okay,’ ” she chuckled.

Taylor has now met both of his parents — previously bonding with matriarch Donna Kelce at Chiefs matchups in Kansas City, Missouri, as well as East Rutherford, New Jersey — despite being linked to Travis only since September. The relationship shows no signs of slowing down, either. In fact, the football player is so serious about the singer that he reportedly just bought a more private love nest in the Show Me State for $6 million after photographers caught Taylor spending the night at his $995,000 home there.

“They’re already making plans for the future,” shares a source. “He and Taylor have even talked about kids. Travis wants them in the next year or so, and Taylor, of course, is all in. He’s exactly the guy she’s been waiting for!”

Taylor, 33, had to kiss a lot of frogs before finding Mr. Right. Especially since Travis, 34, first professed his interest in the music superstar on a July episode of his podcast, detailing how he’d unsuccessfully tried to slip his phone number to Taylor on a friendship bracelet at an Eras tour concert. The tale — which garnered lots of publicity — led to talk that the NFL pro was just using Taylor to raise his profile.

However, “Travis made a confession to Taylor that changed everything — he told her that this wasn’t going to be just a fling,” says the source, revealing that Taylor cautiously reached out after hearing his “adorable” story, and it led to a first date in NYC. “He said he can see himself marrying Taylor.”
