Fans of supermodel Hailey Bieber and her pop star husband Justin Bieber were briefly led to believe that the couple was expecting twins, following a mix-up on social media. The confusion was ignited by Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, after she commented on an Instagram post by Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s father, celebrating the couple’s pregnancy news.

In a May 9 post, Baldwin shared a black-and-white photo of Hailey, 27, and Justin, 30, with a Bible verse superimposed. The post was warmly captioned, “Love you guys ❤️ blessed beyond words🙏🏼 praise God 👶🏼let’s get ready to have some fun y’all🎉.” Mallette’s enthusiastic comment added to the excitement but also sparked speculation. “Congratulations Grandpa!” she wrote. “WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!”

Fans quickly assumed that Mallette’s use of “grand-babies” hinted at twins. However, Mallette soon cleared up the misunderstanding. Responding to the speculation, she wrote, “No not twins lol I wish. Hopefully, they will have more than one eventually. They will make beautiful babies whenever they have them. One is enough for now 😂.”

This isn’t the first time Mallette has expressed her joy publicly. She previously shared her excitement about becoming a grandmother in another post, exclaiming, “So I have been waiting for this day and now that they have shared it, I can finally celebrate with y’all. Oh my gosh, I’m going to be a grandma. Oh my goodness! Justin and Hailey you are going to be the best parents ever and I am so excited. Oh my goodness. Praise God.” She captioned it with, “BABY BIEBER IS ON THE WAY!! I’m gonna be a GRANDMA!!🎉🙌CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber and @haileybieber !! My heart is so full. What an exciting new adventure. Love you so much!”

With the confusion now cleared up, fans are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the newest member of the Bieber family. Hailey and Justin’s journey into parenthood is being watched with great anticipation, and the couple continues to receive immense love and support from their fans and family alike.
