BRITTANY Mahomes almost got hurt on a duck-searching expedition with her hubby and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick.

The Mahomeses found a female duck nest outside their house and documented their discovery on social media earlier this week.

Brittany first uploaded an Instagram Story showing the bird, which seemingly had babies with her.

“I love that she feels safe at our house,” Brittany, 28, said.

The Sports Illustrated model and ex-soccer player spent the next few hours with her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren outside.

But she eventually decided to check on the duck later in the day.

Brittany took Patrick with her, recording a video of the couple leaving their house and searching for the bird.

“But I’m not about to get attacked by no duck,” she said in the clip.

“So he has my back… Be on guard.”

Patrick spotted the duck and told her wife, “It’s right there.”

Brittany seemed to have tripped as she looked in the direction the Chiefs quarterback pointed into.

“Almost broke my ankle…” she captioned the Instagram Story, adding a laughing emoji.

It turned out the duck was behind plants in the garden.

“It’s still here,” Brittany said in the following video. “I just wanted to see if there’s eggs.”

Mrs. Mahomes luckily avoided an accident having already dealt with a fractured back this year.

She revealed her injury on social media in early March, suggesting the problem flared up because she didn’t take good care of her body after two pregnancies.

“Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” Brittany wrote at the time.

Brittany recently gave an update on her back problem, saying it’s now a thing of the past.

“I’m doing great,” she told E! News.

“I’m living my best life. My back is no longer broken, so that’s good.”

Brittany added: “I’m finally fully recovered and back to doing the things that I’ve always been able to do.

“I’m staying on top of my health.”
