And amid her blossoming fashion career, Rihanna has issued an apology to her devoted fans as she admitted that she won’t be releasing any new music any time soon as she focused on her fashion, lingerie and cosmetics empire worth an estimated £486m.
The What’s My Name hitmaker, 31, told her followers ‘I’m so sorry’ when asked if they can expect her to drop a new album in the near future.
Rihanna hasn’t released an album since 2016’s Anti, and has instead focused on other ventures including her fashion and make-up ranges.
She said: ‘Whatever I do is gonna be confident whether it’s the album, perfume, lingerie, make-up, or fashion. Y’all gonna have to wait. Navy, I’m so sorry.’
However, the Bajan beauty made it clear that music is in the pipeline as she ruled out performing at the Super Bowl Half Time show in February.
She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘I still got an album to finish. You gonna ask me about Super Bowl? My fans about to have my neck.’
In the three years since her last album dropped, Rihanna has put her attention to other ventures. including her lingerie line which has made £120million in revenue, according to The Sun.
While her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty made £80million in its first few weeks of sales, with the brand now said to be worth £2.5billion.
The chart topper recently stunned as she attended her line’s New York Fashion Week show on Tuesday.
The singer-turned-designer was literally dazzling in a glittering teal dress with matching retro shades.
Rihanna’s show attracted some of the biggest names, with the likes of Gigi Hadid, her sister Bella, and Cara Delevingne in attendance.
In honor of her big show, Rihanna even performed for the star-packed crowd wearing a sheer black ensemble with matching mini skirt.
Tuesday night’s show will be exclusively streamed on Amazon Prime starting September 20, and guests were even required to leave their electronic devices behind at the door, according to The Guardian.
Rihanna launched her inclusive lingerie line last year.
‘I want to make people look and feel good, and have fun playing around with different styles,’ the Pon De Replay singer said at the time, according to Vogue.
‘There are really no rules with lingerie,’ she added of her line. ‘Cute and edgy can live in the same collection. The line dares you to try something new while completely remaining authentic to yourself.’
Meanwhile, the beauty revealed that she ‘danced in her kitchen’ while wearing her range to ensure that her pieces just right.
She told how it was important to test out items from her Savage x Fenty collection and she did so with little time to prepare for New York Fashion Week show.
She said: ‘I will dance in these pieces in my kitchen until we get it right! Which is what I did, believe it or not. I only had two-and-a-half hours of rehearsal so I had to, like, get it where I could fit it in.
‘Usually it was while I was doing other approvals. People are like, “Hey, pick this model! Pick this look!” And I’m like this (dancing). ‘
She added: ‘No, listen, it happens! I’ll rehearse anywhere because I want it to be perfect. If you’re passionate enough about something, you’ll get it done.’
