Larry Nance Jr. was a Pelicans player on Friday night before going to sleep. By the time he went to bed, he was a Hawks player. That’s how quickly Larry Nance Jr.’s trade went, and that has left his wife Hailey far from happy.

After receiving the news of his trade, Mrs Nance took to social media to call out the manner and timing of the Pelicans’ management. She wrote on her X handle, “Getting traded right before kids bedtime is dirty work.. putting two fussy kids to bed by myself? Is Griff trying to kill me”. However, she later deleted the tweet.

The now-deleted post was for David Griffin, the VP of the Pelicans’ basketball operations. According to reports, the Pelicans traded Nance, along with Dyson Daniels, to the Hawks and two first-round picks for point guard Dejounte Murray. Nance played his part with the Pelicans as a role player. Since moving from the Blazers in 2022, Nance appeared in 135 regular-season games for the Pels and is becoming a journeyman of the league with his latest move.

Looking Back at Larry Nance Jr.’s NBA Career

Larry Nance started his NBA journey with the most successful Western team, the LA Lakers, in 2015 as their 27th pick. The offensive center showed his skills in Hollywood for more than two seasons. Even after being told to buy a house in LA, Nance saw himself get traded after the Lakers got a call from his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in February 2018.

Larry proudly suited up for the Cavs like his father and performed his duties for three seasons. In 2021, he was traded to the Portland Blazers, where he didn’t fit in. The franchise didn’t give him much opportunity and traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans in February 2022, within six months of his arrival.

Right after the trade, Larry underwent arthroscopic right knee surgery. Luckily, he returned in better shape and extended his two-year contract. At the Pelicans, he took young, talented players like Zion Williamson under his wings.

Now with the Hawks, Larry would be expected to do the same thing. The less experienced squad would gain a lot from his veteran presence. Apart from that, the Hawks’ strategy for him can be witnessed in the following season.

An eyewitness on the scene claimed that the emergency services were there to help a stewardess who complained of dizziness.

ARFF can respond to medical calls, as well as dealing with such problems as chemical spills and plane fires that occur on airport property.

As the turbulence grew stronger, Kim nervously remarked: ‘I have to make it to 43 please,’ as seen on an episode of The Kardashians.

‘I’m getting a little nervous, I don’t love turbulence,’ said Khloe in a confessional, describing the situation as ‘some scary s**t.’

Even Kris said: ‘Well, I used to be a flight attendant, so I’m really good at being calm on a plane when there’s turbulence, but it seems a little extreme tonight.’

In her own confessional, Kim explained the rollercoaster experience to her fans, sharing the thought process behind the decision to turn back.

A massive trade proposal has the Los Angeles Clippers altering the 2025 NBA championship race by dealing superstar Paul George to an Eastern Conference heavyweight.

Paul George can opt out of his contract and test free agency this upcoming week if he so desires. An opt-out is highly likely, even if he wants to stay with the Clippers, since George can assure himself more financial long-term security.

But if George doesn’t want to sign a new deal with Los Angeles, the ideal scenario for both parties would be a sign-and-trade transaction. This way, he gets his long-term deal while the Clippers get much-needed assets to reshape the roster around Kawhi Leonard.

Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed a blockbuster trade that has the Clippers sending Paul George back to his old team, the Indiana Pacers, in exchange for Aaron Neismith, Bennedict Mathurin and 2027 and 2029 first-round picks:

“This trade scenario presents a win-win situation. The Clippers gain young talent and future assets to secure their long-term success, while the Pacers get a seasoned star who can immediately impact their quest for playoff success. Reuniting Paul George with the Pacers could be the boost they need to finally overcome their postseason hurdles and make a significant run in the Eastern Conference.”

The Pacers made a surprise run to the Eastern Conference Finals, but they were ousted by the Boston Celtics in a four-game sweep. Clearly, they could use a veteran presence and two-way star to get past a star-studded Boston team.

The Clippers may even feel motivated to move on from Paul George after yet another disappointing playoff exit. George and Leonard were supposed to lead LA to a championship (or two) by now, but the super duo has only led this team past the first round once.

Her first tribute look was a forest green cape dress adorned with leaves and a cut-out at her abdomen – which she changed into for Folklore.

The Los Angeles Lakers used their No. 55 pick to select Bronny James this week. Many believe his arrival in the pros has nothing to do with skill but everything to do with LeBron James being his father.

The youngster admittedly did not inspire much confidence in his lone college season, averaging 4.8 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.8 rebounds a game. However, he didn’t do his prospects any harm at the league’s scouting combine and received 10 workout offers.

He opted to work out for just the Lakers and Phoenix Suns.

Now that he’s with the Lakers, he will be out to prove he’s there on merit.

The inevitable happened on Thursday when Klutch Sports’ machinations and demands ensured Bronny James ended up being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Now the impossible will have to occur for him to succeed there.

That LeBron James’ son and namesake would end up in L.A. was always the plan. Former Golden State Warriors President of Basketball Operations Bob Myers said the quiet part out loud on Thursday on ESPN’s draft coverage, sharing that “Rich Paul is calling teams … he’s telling them, do not take (Bronny). If you take him, he’s going to Australia.”

That warning was also surely a threat. Sure, the message went, you wouldn’t get Bronny anyway. But it was also clearly a way to say, without saying it, that drafting Bronny James would make you persona non grata with Klutch Sports, a headache no organization or ambitious GM needs.

Nothing better sums up the lengths LeBron James has gone to in order to ensure Bronny would be a Laker. Bronny’s story — his near-death experience, his famous name, the fact he wouldn’t have been drafted if it weren’t for his father, and the upside he still has as a player — was always going to include an early chapter about playing with his dad in L.A.

LeBron Sr. is opting out of the final year of his Lakers contract but is expected to sign a new deal and stay in L.A. He wouldn’t have it any other way, which was the inevitable part of this saga.

It’s the near-impossible part — the next step — that will matter most going forward and largely shape Bronny’s odds of succeeding, long though they may already be.

Because for his son to succeed, LeBron James will have to do what for him will be the most difficult and rare of things during his sparkling career: Cede the power he’s accumulated and let others take it from here.

He has to fight the urge to interfere with his son’s time as a Laker.

That means operating in the exact opposite way to what got Bronny to the Lakers in the first place.

The Bronny reality is a complicated one. On the one hand, he clearly is not NBA ready, a fact several NBA executives and scouts who had evaluated Bronny during his subpar season at USC and at the draft combine in Chicago last month told CBS Sports.

But it’s also true that Bronny would have probably earned his spot as a true prospect had he gone to college for one or two more years and further developed his game, as most believe it would have been inevitable had his last name not been James.

That means there’s an NBA player potentially in there but one who, by most accounts, needs more time, patience and the chance to learn and fail with smaller stakes than the NBA usually provides. And that is much more likely to happen if he isn’t bird-dogged at every turn by perhaps the biggest name in NBA history.

LeBron constantly weighing in and shaping the way the Lakers want to go about developing their young talent helps no one, no matter his intentions.

It’s one thing to teach, help and guide your son. It’s another to pull the strings from within his first professional organization, always hovering, never letting him and those around him have the freedom most rookies get to try and make it with all the ups and downs required.

Stepping aside, and not exerting the very power and influence he used to get his son to the Lakers in the first place, will not be easy for LeBron. This is a generational talent who has routinely decided the fates of his coaches, teammates, and GMs. He’s had and used the massive influence and leverage that comes with his GOAT-level status. And it’s mostly served him well.

But sometimes less is more. And that will be the challenge for the father who loves his son and now will need to find a way to get out of the way.

What if Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka thinks Bronny needs ample time in the G League — more, say, than LeBron feels is necessary?

What if new Lakers Head Coach JJ Redick — formerly LeBron’s podcast partner — isn’t aligned with his benefactor on how many minutes his benefactor’s son should be getting?

What if Bronny’s teammates, including the veterans on the team, start to resent a young player because of his dad?

What happens when opposing teams go at Bronny with vicious enthusiasm, hellbent on getting one over on the kid with LeBron’s name on his back?

What happens when LeBron can’t see these things clearly, and can’t know when to get out of the way?

Seems far-fetched?

Last year, LeBron tweeted, “Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I’ve been watching on league pass today. S— lightweight hilarious.”

This is a guy who handpicked his head coach in anticipation of re-upping with the Lakers in the coming days, who made sure that same team drafted his not-ready-for-the-league-yet son, who made sure his agency and good friend strong armed the rest of the league into not drafting Bronny first, and who has almost always gotten what he wants.

The line here between combining his love for his son with his all-time great basketball experience as hands-on mentor, and with being the ultimate problematic-helicopter-sports-parent, is thin.

I hope Bronny makes it. And I get how a father’s love for his son is all consuming. But that doesn’t change the fact Bronny’s best shot at succeeding rests in large part with his dad, all evidence to the contrary, giving him and the Lakers the space and permission to try and turn the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft into a success story.
