Kevin Durant preferred to avoid the public eye after the Phoenix Suns’ disappointing elimination from the playoffs. However, when the big man was spotted, the NBA community said he was on “the wrong side.”

Recently, Durant made headlines for being present at Canadian rapper Drake’s Toronto mansion. The 35-year-old forward was in his casual shorts and pullover. It looked like he was enjoying himself with a football in one hand and a beverage in another.

While most of the NBA players chose to visit Kendrick Lamar’s show, Durant clearly sided with Drake in the hip-hop duo’s infamous beef. The video soon went viral on social media and the fans didn’t hold back from sharing their views.

For the past couple of days, there have been speculations about something brewing between Durant and the Suns. But the franchise’s owner, Matt Ishbia confirmed that KD will be staying back.

Taking to X (FKA Twitter), Ishbia stated, “NBA Draft night is the best. Everyone talks about the drama and storylines, some are right and some are just wrong. My turn. Phoenix loves Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant loves Phoenix, and we are competing for a championship this year because we have the team to do it. Gotta love draft night! Go Suns.”

That was certainly a potential indication that Durant will try harder with his newly built trio members, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, to strive for the championship title. However, for now, he will be joining the USA Men’s Basketball Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The trophy-hoarding days of Michael Jordan are now a thing of the past, but the NBA legend keeps his competitive spirit alive in a different sport. Jordan owns the 23XI NASCAR team and has been trying to win the event for some time now.

His efforts paid off when the checkered flag was waived as his driver crossed the finish line. For the first time, Jordan was on the racetrack and maybe his presence brought some good luck to his team. After winning the race, MJ gave an interview, expressing his thoughts to the fans.

“As you know, the NBA playoffs are going on right now, so this is, to me, like an NBA playoffs game. I am so ecstatic, obviously for the fans who support the sport itself. Jordan can also thank Lady Fortune for his team’s success because 23XI’s driver Tyler Reddick was able to finish the race in first place thanks to Michael McDowell crashing right before the finish line. However, results are results, and it cannot be denied that 23XI Racing secured their first win.

Not unexpectedly, LeBron James garnered the title of second most votes after Michael Jordan. This data demonstrates that the NBA players believe Michael Jordan is the greatest player in basketball history. The former Chicago Bulls player, who has six NBA rings, six NBA Final MVP honors, and five NBA MVP trophies, has possibly had the most remarkable career. Many of the professional players in the league today look up to him, and he will continue to do so in the years to come.

The final selling price of the card is just over $2.9 million, according to the details on the auction house’s website. On Thursday, the Chicago Sky rookie showed up at Wintrust Arena to play against the Dallas Wings in a game in which both teams desperately needed to win.

Before making her way out to the court, Reese arrived at the Chicago Sky’s game against the Dallas Wings in a custom sweater featuring pictures of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

She paired the sweater with what looked like a short gray skirt that showed off her extraordinarily long legs. Reese also had a Gucci handbag in her left hand. She finished the look with black boots that came up just below her knees.

As for the game, Angel Reese certainly played just as well as she looked. The youngster went 7 of 13 from the field for 16 points, pulled down 18 rebounds, and added three assists and two steals, per ESPN.com.

The Sky picked up a much-needed victory that pushed their record to 5-9 while securing their second home win of the season. The team faces an uphill battle but if they can continue to string together some victories, they could get in the playoff hunt.

Nancy Strong, from Dallas, Texas, started supporting the pop star 15 years ago – when Kanye West famously ambushed her on stage at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

And this year, she has for the first time been able to see her live as the musician kicked off the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Her granddaughters, Jenn Strong, 30, and Brianne Pattison, 36, are also Swifties and managed to bag three tickets to Taylor’s Paris show for $98 each.

But when Nancy was in the UK for business and noticed Taylor’s show in Wembley overlapped with her visit, she knew she had to try and go again.

‘She’s incredible and universal. I stand in awe of it,’ she gushed. ‘I never sit down. I love to stand up and move.

‘You gather energy from the crowd.’

The grandmother also expressed that, even at 90, your ‘heart is still a 20 year old’s’, meaning Taylor’s songs still resonate across generations.

‘I have been a semi-fan since 2009 when Kayne did a number on her,’ Nancy added.

‘She speaks to everybody with her lyrics. My favourite song is The Man. As a woman who started out in business in the 70s and 80s I can relate.’

During the illustrious tenure of Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan with the Chicago Bulls, some critics argued that Pippen’s greatness was largely dependent on Jordan. However, former NBA star Shawn Kemp strongly disagrees with this notion.

In a recent appearance on the “All the Smoke” podcast, Kemp expressed his admiration for Pippen, who was recently roasted by his own son. Kemp stated that Pippen’s talents would have shone brightly even without Jordan’s presence.

“Scottie Pippen’s great, man. I played with Pippen in Portland. I’ll just say this. Sometimes, people don’t give Pippen his props. But Scottie Pippen was gonna be a good ball player without Michael Jordan. He would have been a quality ball player without Michael Jordan,” Shawn said.

The 73-year-old broadcaster took his PopMaster Quiz show from the BBC to Greatest Hits Radio last year and attracts 3.8 million weekly listeners.

But he will not bend to Taylor Swift mania and play the 34-year-old’s music.

He told The Mail on Sunday: ‘All her songs are the same. I’ll play her on my station when she writes something that isn’t about her ex-boyfriends. Great radio songs have three beats and then they’re straight into the song, not these long intros that she does.

‘We’re a 70s, 80s and 90s radio show as our core audience is older.’

His comments come as the Shake It Off singer left the UK for the European leg of her $1 billion Eras Tour before she returns for five more shows at Wembley Stadium in August.

Ms Swift’s arrival in the UK earlier this month transfixed the nation, with Scotland renaming a loch after her and Capital FM dedicating an entire station to her music.

But Mr Bruce has conceded only to playing very short clips of her music occasionally on his PopMaster Quiz show to maintain a variety of genres.

He said: ‘For our audience, we do 70s, 80s and 90s music. We do early noughties and 2010s – not very many – but we expect people to know things from recent and current music, only the biggest names though.

‘We do ask questions from the 50s as well and 60s. Our core audience on Greatest Hits Radio is older so they’ve got to be able to answer most of the questions.’

Mr Bruce revealed on air last year that he was leaving Radio 2 after three decades, saying that although he ‘loved working at the BBC’ he wanted ‘to try something else’.

But his show was axed a month early after it became ‘essentially free advertising’ for his new position on rival Greatest Hits Radio.

He now presents the pre-lunchtime 10am slot on GHR and has increased his audience from 2.2 million a week to 3.8 million.
