Joseph Quinn has a story for the Swifties.
The A Quiet Place: Day One actor, 30, recalled the ‘cringe’ moment of meeting Taylor Swift, 34, for the first time and the ‘f*****g stupid’ thing he said to the songbird.
When asked by host Josh Horowitz during an appearance on his Happy Sad Confused podcast if he’s had any embarrassing moments since becoming famous, one particular encounter came to mind.
‘I met Taylor Swift once, and I said, “You’re Taylor Swift.” She was very funny,’ Joseph recalled on Monday’s episode.
The Grammy winner then acknowledged the actor’s work on Stranger Things when he played Eddie Munson in season 4.

‘She said something nice about like the show,’ Joseph continued, ‘and I said, “Oh, thanks. You’re Taylor Swift. I mean it as a compliment.”‘
Josh laughed at the banter, pointing out that it is indeed a compliment.
Joseph responded, ‘It’s definitely a compliment, and I remember thinking like that was f*****g stupid. But she was very good-humored about it.’
As for where the celebrities stand now? As the Gladiator II star joked, the two are still on ‘great terms’ and he will be featured on Taylor’s next album.
‘We are just trying to figure it out,’ Joseph quipped before admitting that no, Taylor has not ‘reached out’ about a musical collaboration.
Although the Dickensian alum didn’t reveal where he met the pop star, fans may remember that Joseph’s Stranger Things costar Sadie Sink (who played Max) starred in Taylor’s short film All Too Well in 2021.
At the time, the artist penned a touching tribute to the 22-year-old for Entertainment Weekly’s 2022 Entertainers of the Year honors.
‘Sadie Sink is a remarkable presence on screen, on stage, and on set. While watching the monitors during the filming of the short film we made together, I often found myself transfixed by the effortlessness and complexity of her performance. Scratch that, because it didn’t feel like a performance at all,’ Taylor wrote. ‘Her grief, her hope, her loss — it all felt real.’

Joseph has made his way to the Marvel Universe, landing the role of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch, in the upcoming Fantastic Four film; Seen June 26 in NYC

The Make Up star revealed the advice Lupita Nyong’o gave him as he prepares for his upcoming job: ‘She said that I’m going to have a blast and enjoy it’; The duo pictured together
Concluding her sweet message to the young actress, the star said, ‘She is a force to watch and a pleasure to know. I’ll continue to feel just as lucky to watch from afar as she lights up the screen, tells new stories, and shows us new sides of herself: multifaceted and brilliant, dark and unhinged, twinkly and full of promise. This artist contains multitudes, and we get to look on as she courageously unveils them. Everyone say, “Thank you, Sadie.”‘
Along with Sadie, Joseph’s career has also skyrocketed to new heights in recent years, with the actor revealing if he would return to Stranger Things in the future – despite his character seemingly dying in season 4.
‘Chances are high. I love those guys! I’d love to say hello,’ Joseph told Entertainment Tonight last month. ‘I’m sure they’re working very hard to land the plane. It’s been a long time that they’ve been working on that, so I’m really delighted that they’re kind of getting towards the end, and they’re having a nice time. I’m sure they’re gonna deliver it in a pretty epic way.’
He added, ‘I have no doubts.’
But along with starring on the streaming platform, Joseph has made his way to the Marvel Universe, landing the role of Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch, in the upcoming Fantastic Four film.
In fact, he leaned on his A Quiet Place: Day One costar Lupita Nyong’o for advice before the project starts.
‘She said that I’m going to have a blast and enjoy it,’ he shared with People. ‘She was very helpful when I was considering all of that stuff. She’s obviously part of that world and spoke about her experience with a lot of fondness, so it was encouraging.’
Joseph will follow in the footsteps of Chris Evans, 43, and Michael B. Jordan, 37, who have both portrayed Johnny Storm.

![Hinchcliffe made reference to Will Ferrell's cameo at the comedy show in character as his Anchorman persona Ron Burgundy, who in the 2004 film said, 'Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means "a whale's [expletive]." 'A whale's [expletive], which reminds me, Kim Kardashian's here - she's had a lot of Black Men celebrate in her end zone,' Hinchcliffe said. 'Kim, word of advice, close your legs, you have more public beef than Kendrick and Drake.' A number of people on Sunday took to social media with real-time reactions to the chilly reception Kardashian received at the comedy event. 'Kim Kardashian getting booed at the Tom Brady Roast is incredible,' one user wrote, while another said, THEY JUST BOOED KIM KARDASHIAN BEFORE SHE EVEN SAID A WORD LMFAO.' Said one user: 'Bill Belichick gets a standing ovation and Kim Kardashian gets booed. The Tom Brady roast is the best thing Netflix has ever produced.'](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/05/06/08/84499051-0-image-a-70_1714981414919.jpg)
![Some users said that the booing was reflective of the public's general exhaustion with the Kardashians and their broadcasting/marketing empire. 'Guess you should only appear live when you can control the narrative. Otherwise you'll get booed right off the stage every time,' the user said, adding 'Team Yeezy' to the end of their post. Said one user: 'We keep trying to tell "the powers that be" that we don¿t want that family in our spaces! Yet, they INSIST on pushing them in our faces, anyway!' Some users commented on the uncomfortable dynamic the jeering of the reality star led to on the live broadcast. 'Holy [expletive] like half the audience at the Tom Brady roast just mercilessly booed Kim Kardashian to the point where she had to stop and acknowledge it,' one user said. Another added, 'OMG, they booed Kim Kardashian so bad. That was embarrassing. Audience only stopped because Kevin asked them to stop.' The Public Enemies Podcast compared the booing to that garnered by the villain pro wrestling faction, The Judgment Day: 'The crowd when Kim Kardashian came to the mic to start roasting Tom Brady.'](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/05/06/11/84496935-13386545-Some_users_said_that_the_booing_was_reflective_of_the_public_s_g-m-177_1714991298137.jpg)

![Another user said, 'Tom Brady made a joke about Kim being scared to be at the roast cause her kids were left with Kayne ahh man his next song or IG rant is gonna be insane.' One user said, 'Gonna be hilarious when Kanye gets offended by Tom Brady¿s joke after Tom just sat up there and listened to a whole room of people make jokes about his ex wife and children all night. You really can¿t say [expletive] to Tom.' Said one user: 'WHY DID TOM BRADY JUST FRY KIM K AND KANYE LMFAOOOOOO.' Another user praised Brady for his no holds barred approach to the roast "Tom Brady gives no [expletive],' said the user. 'Like full scorched earth. OJ Simpson. 9/11. Aaron Hernandez. And he just destroyed Kim and Kanye. Nobody is safe.'](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/05/06/08/84499055-0-image-a-73_1714981460015.jpg)
