‘It forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman,’ Rihanna says about being a mother of two boys

Rihanna has revealed how being a mother of two boys has encouraged her to embrace her femininity.

During an interview with E! News at an event for Fenty Beauty on Friday 26 April, the 36-year-old singer spoke about the joys of being a parent to her two children – RZA, one, and Riot, eight months – who she shares with partner A$AP Rocky.

While Rihanna is the only female in her family of four, she still expressed that it’s “really cool to be a boy mom”, since her children ultimately inspire her to be the woman she is.

“I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity,” she said. “I embrace it so much more now, like I wear pink.”

The “Diamonds” singer also quipped about how her style is different from her sons and husband, continuing: “I go between wearing jerseys and like, ‘I’m wearing a dress today! I’m the only one in this house who can do that right now.’”

Rihanna continued to acknowledge how her boys have had an influence on her, noting that they “highlight” all the things she enjoys about being a woman and mother.

“Because I’m the one that can experience all of that in the house – giving birth to them, carrying them, being a partner with Rocky and running the household and the family. It’s new territory, but it’s empowering,” she added.

Rihanna’s comments about her children come just weeks before RZA turns two.

The pop star first announced she was pregnant for a second time during her Super Bowl halftime show in February 2023.

She’s since opened up about some of her approaches to being a mother to boys. During an interview with Vogue China in March, she addressed how her children could be shaped by different world views when they get older, as hairstyles like braids have been a part of Rihanna and her partner’s culture.

“In fact, the father of the child, Rocky, is also like this. Yeah, it’s historically significant and makes us realise where we’ve come from,” she said about the rapper, who she’s been dating since 2021. “This is our lost history. I really learned a lot being around him, but even with him, he wore his hair in pigtails.”

She went on to emphasise that, as braids were embraced by her ancestors, she knew that she wanted her sons to have them as well.

“It’s just a thing of the past. Like I immediately wanted my son to have his hair braided. Yes, I know, it’s something in our blood,” she said.

Rihanna has also spoken openly about the clothes she chooses for her children. During an interview with British Vogue in March 2023, she expressed how she likes to dress RZA in unexpected ways.

“I like to dress him in things that don’t look like baby clothes. I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best. I always shop in the men’s department, you know,”

The Fenty Beauty founder also revealed that she has many of her baby clothes custom-made because she finds most children’s clothes to be on the boring side.

“When you come up with something in your head, half the time it is not available because kids’ clothes are so… they’re sooo boring. I’m like, ‘This is what y’all been doing to these people’s kids all along?’” she said.

Rihanna continued to acknowledge how her boys have had an influence on her, noting that they “highlight” all the things she enjoys about being a woman and mother.

  • After leaving the NFL, Jason Kelce talks about changing his lifestyle and changing his body

After leaving the NFL, Jason Kelce talks about changing his lifestyle and changing his body

After hanging up his cleats following 13 glittering years in the NFL, Philadelphia Eagles icon Jason Kelce has opened up on the changes to his body and lifestyle in his retirement

Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce opened up on how his body has transformed in the months following his retirement from football after 13 years in the NFL.

The 36-year-old established his reputation as one of the greatest centers in the league’s history during his storied run at Lincoln Financial Field. Hanging up his cleats having won the Super Bowl once and as a six-time First-team All-Pro, he has since announced that he will be embarking on a career in broadcasting.

The popular star has penned a multi-year agreement with ESPN to form part of their “Monday Night Football” coverage from next season as an analyst. He will specifically take on duties on the “Monday Night Countdown show”, while also appearing alongside Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Clark during Monday night and playoff clashes at halftime.

Having last appeared in a playing capacity after the Eagles’ wild-card playoff defeat against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January, the elder Kelce brother decided to call time on his career. Now, he has reflected the impact his time in the sport has had on his body, as he told GQ: “Everybody exits the league with some type of impediment. I’ve had a twice-reconstructed right knee, a surgery on my hand, my groin. I’ve broken toes.

“I’ve had my share of things that have gone wrong, not to mention just the wear and tear of playing 13 years in the NFL. So I’m leaving the game with those scars, but for all intents and purposes, I can play with my kids,” he continued. “I am still able to fully enjoy life, which I consider a blessing whether you played in the NFL or not.”

“As far as the weight is concerned, I weighed 295 for the majority of my NFL career, and I look forward to losing some of those pounds. I don’t want to get too small. I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, they lose too much weight, and then they look like bobbleheads because their neck gets so small, but their head stays the same size.”

Jason Kelce looked noticeably slimmer over the summer having retired from the NFL

The former NFL center also explained how his body has transformed in the time since he last played. He said: “So for me, I feel like for some reason, 250 to 260 feels like I’ll be still big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack. But I’ll still be able to have that stature a little bit.

“Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now. It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.”

As for his upcoming foray into the world of TV, Kelce said on his “New Heights Podcast”: “It’s crazy, especially when we were growing up, this was the night that everyone thought of with football. Monday Night Football and now I’m going to be on there with some incredibly talented people – Scott Van Pelt, Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark.”

The Heat have a history of making the most of their mid-first-round selections, and this year they picked Kel’el Ware at No.15 in the NBA Draft. The rookie recently stirred controversy even before starting his NBA career by snubbing Michael Jordan from his NBA Mount Rushmore.

Ware shared his NBA Mount Rushmore during a recent appearance on ‘Miami Mic’d Up’ with Jeremy Chandler Tche. Unexpectedly, the rookie’s list did not include Michael Jordan.

Instead, Ware named Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Anthony Edwards, and Bam Adebayo as his top four NBA players. The surprising moment came when Ware explained why he left Jordan off his list.

I would say MJ, but I heard that some of his stats were false,” Ware said.

Jordan’s 1988 Defensive Player of the Year Award has come under scrutiny. Scottie Pippen recently made a startling claim that NBA scorekeepers fabricated statistics to favor Jordan for the title.

It was completely unexpected from Pippen, especially considering they won six league championships and established themselves as one of the greatest duos in basketball history.

Kel’el Ware Signs a Four-Year Deal With Miami

Per Spotrac, Kel’el Ware signed a four-year, $22.5 million deal with the Heat. His contract includes a guaranteed $9.5 million at signing, with an average salary of approximately $5.6 million per year.

This deal currently makes Ware the sixth-highest-paid player on the Heat, which aligns with the rookie scale for the 15th overall draft selection.

After his standout season at Indiana, the star rookie earned the Heat’s trust. He averaged 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in his sophomore year, which helped him secure a spot on the second-team All-Big Ten.

Rihanna reveals why she ‘immediately’ wanted her sons to have braided hair

Rihanna has shared a rare comment about raising her two sons, who she shares with her longtime partner A$AP Rocky.

During a recent interview with Vogue China, the 36-year-old singer spoke candidly about the importance of keeping her children – RZA, one, and Riot, eight months – connected to their ancestors. She addressed how her children could be shaped by different world views when they get older, as hairstyles like braids have been a part of Rihanna and her partner’s culture.

She went on to emphasise that as braids were embraced by her ancestors, she knew that she wanted her sons to have them as well.

“It’s just a thing of the past. Like I immediately wanted my son to have his hair braided. Yes, I know, it’s something in our blood,” she said.

The “Umbrella” singer also reflected on her childhood, and how braids have been such a big part of her identity.

“I grew up in the Caribbean and it was all a local mom could do for her kids. Some people grow up in single-parent families, with moms working three jobs, and they don’t have time to kiss you every day when you go to school,” she explained. “This is a form of protection, our roots, and a tradition left by our ancestors. At the end of the day, it’s still beautiful and I love it.”

Rihanna then described braids from “an aesthetics standpoint,” noting that there are “so many looks you can achieve”. She once again recalled her childhood, when she saw many children and family members with braids in their hair.

“I remember seeing this scene all the time when I was a kid: tourists coming to Barbados, sitting on the beach in the sun, braiding their hair and letting it go,” the Fenty Beauty Founder said. “In fact, I have wanted to do this myself since I was a child, but in the end I would let the girls at home or neighbours comb my hair. My mom also braids my hair, but she always sends me to the salon to get it braided because it lasts longer.”

Rihanna’s comments about her children and their hair comes nearly one year after she and A$AP Rocky welcomed their second son: Riot. The pop star first announced she was pregnant for a second time during her Super Bowl halftime show in February 2023.

She’s since opened up about her children getting older, as she previously poked fun at how RZA has inherited her. However, when gesturing towards her prominent forehead, she noted that the feature didn’t get passed down to her second child.

“I mean, Riot doesn’t have it. I’m like: ‘Wait, are you sure?’” she told Entertainment Tonight in December, before she pretended to search for the physical attribute. “You can’t lose this thing,” she jokingly added.

She also opened up about raising her children with A$AP Rocky, with the singer revealing the most surprising thing about watching him become a father and grow as a parent alongside her.

“Ooh, I love him differently as a dad,” she explained. “Yeah, this is major. Major. Like, it’s a turn on. It’s just like, wow, what a leader, what a great patient, loving, and my kids are obsessed with him.”

“He Wouldn’t Have Passed Medical”- Philadelphia 76ers’ Paul George Takes a Hilarious Jab at Kenny Smith While Discussing His Achievements

Paul George had his future sorted after the blockbuster move to the Sixers. After months of speculation surrounding him, PG13 will don the blue stripes of the Philly franchise. But in his spare time, he’s devoted to his podcast. And there he recently unearthed a fact that would shock many.

During a recent episode of “Podcast P”, the conversation went towards some NBA trivia. George asked his fellow pod hosts if they were aware of the players who won both the Slam Dunk and the 3-pts contest in the same year. They were quick to highlight the Bucks guard Damian Lillard as one. To everyone’s surprise, George revealed Kenny Smith was the other player to do so.

But due to the TNT analyst’s standing pose of having his knees arched inwards, Smith was called “leggies.” Wondering if his legs were always like that, George said, “He wouldn’t have passed medical,” after one of his co-hosts said that Smith wouldn’t get drafted if his legs were always like that.

Kenny Smith played in the NBA and won two championships with the Rockets, a feat that Paul George has yet to achieve.

Sixers’ Championship Chances Boosted With Addition of Paul George

The Sixers saw their title hopes dashed after they fell short to the Knicks. The Philly front office was stubbornly motivated to land a third star alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to make the process work. This they did by bringing in Paul George on a 4-year $212 million contract.

With this acquisition, the Sixers made a big jump in the NBA championship odds. According to Fanduel, the 76ers are now 3rd after the Celtics and the Nuggets to win the championship.

George would not only add his veteran experience but also the needed expertise on the hardboard. Averaging 22.6 points per game in 74 regular-season games, George showed that he is still one of the best forwards in the league. But after this move, the Sixers shouldn’t have any excuses for not making a deep playoff run or a championship push.

Video: Michael Jordan’s ‘Petty’ Troll of Horace Grant, Magic Revealed by NBA Rival

Michael Jordan torched the Orlando Magic for 45 points in Game 4 of the 1996 Eastern Conference Finals as he and his Chicago Bulls finished a sweep, and, to hear Darrell Armstrong tell it, he would have scored more if he wasn’t “petty” and thinking about the previous year.

Jordan returned from baseball in time for the 1995 playoffs, but the Bulls lost to the Magic in the second round.

Orlando’s players carried former Chicago forward Horace Grant off the court in celebration, which didn’t sit well with His Airness.

The Players’ Tribune relayed a story from Armstrong detailing Jordan’s revenge during those 1996 playoffs:

“I never forget this. …They were f–king with Horace Grant,” Armstrong said. “And Horace couldn’t do nothing but put his head down and just laugh. It was on the free-throw line, right in front of us. Jordan, Scottie, was talking s–t. Jordan had two free throws at the end of the game. He hit the first one and missed the second one on purpose.

“And we was like, ‘what the f–k he doing?’ Somebody said, ‘look at the scoreboard.’ He left 45 on the scoreboard. You know Jordan, petty as a motherf–ker. He left 45 for last year on the scoreboard.”

Jordan wore No. 45 when he returned from baseball but quickly switched back to his familiar No. 23 after Chicago lost the 1995 series to the Magic.

All he did from there was lead the Bulls to a then-record 72 regular-season wins in 1995-96 on the way to his fourth career championship. It was also the first title of what would become the second three-peat of his career.

And he enacted some revenge along the way.

Kyrie Irving made a top tier spot for himself in the league through his remarkable performances. However, his controversial actions against his former teams have overshadowed that. Nevertheless, this hasn’t change the fact that he’s one of the best teammates, not only to Luka Doncic on the Mavericks, but also his former Celtics teammate Marcus Smart.

When Smart was asked to share on the “Run Your Race” podcast how he viewed Kyrie as a teammate, the Texan instantly replied, “Great teammate.”

“And I think Kyrie gets a little bit more than his fair share [of criticism] because of just who he is,” Smart added. “He’s not going to back down from anybody — on the court or off the court. No matter what topic you want to talk to him about, don’t matter what game, what sport, he’s not going to back down. And that gives him a lot more shade than normal, but as a teammate, Kyrie’s great.”

The duo have shared the stage for roughly two seasons from 2017 to 2019. During that period, the duo had some ups and downs in their bond which Smart revealed to the same host Theo Pinson.

Smart Looks Back at Coming to Terms With Kyrie Irving

While sharing his insights on Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart spoke about their bumpy initial days in the squad. Both the guards found it hard in the beginning to establish a connection with each other on the hardwood.

Explaining how he and Kyrie came to terms, Smart said, “I remember, I sat him down one time and was like, ‘Listen bruh, I just want to see how you’re doing. I know you’ve got a lot going on too. People probably don’t ask you as much as how you’re doing.’ I just told him, I said, for me to be the best defender that I’m going to be, bruh, I’m going to guard you and it’s going to be every day.” (After 59 seconds)

Soon after, Kyrie left for the Nets and a few years later, Smart was unexpectedly traded to the Grizzlies. However, the latter still has a high regard for his former teammate.

Bad blood? It sounds like it! Hole singer Courtney Love slammed Taylor Swift and Beyoncé in an interview with The Standard that was published on April 12.

“Taylor is not important,” Courtney, 59, told the publication. “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”

The “Celebrity Skin” singer showed her disdain for the Grammy winner while promoting her upcoming BBC Radio 6 series, Courtney Love’s Women. However, Taylor, 34, wasn’t the only popular artist Courtney mentioned. The mom of one also had some words for Beyoncé’s latest foray into the country music realm.

“Now, every successful woman is cloned, so there is just too much music. They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you get bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same,” Courtney explained. “I mean, I like the idea of Beyoncé doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much. As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music.”

It wasn’t just female musicians Courtney went after in the interview either. She also slammed the former editor and cofounder of Rolling StoneJann Wenner, along with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in general.

“Five old white guys, right, who have apparently never heard of Kate Bush. I mean, really?” Courtney ranted. “Jann Wenner should be put out to pasture. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a joke.”

Courtney’s words likely don’t come as a shock, as she’s never held back when it comes to controversial opinions. She started gaining notoriety during her time in the band Hole in the late ‘80s, but Courtney became a household name due to her high-profile marriage to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. The couple married in 1992 and remained together until his death in 1994.

From setting her apartment on fire to accusing the Muppets of “raping the memory of Kurt Cobain” by singing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the 2011 film The Muppets, the San Francisco native has been known for polarizing audiences with her statements and actions.

“People used to say that I was so difficult,” the “Miss World” rocker admitted. “They said I was disagreeable. Yes, I am completely disagreeable and I’m never going to apologize for that. I always wanted to be known as a bitch. Being liked was never my thing. Kurt wanted to be liked but not me. He was able to hide behind me, but then I got hated.”

However, Swifties were nonplussed to hear any criticism about their lord and savior, Taylor.

“Courtney Love is only ‘interesting’ and ‘important’ because she was married to someone interesting and important. How classless,” wrote one fan on X, while another added, “Dear @BBC6Music, nobody believes Courtney Love was a musical icon.”

Additionally, another Taylor fan pointed out that just three years ago, Courtney posted a birthday tribute on social media for the “All Too Well” singer in December 2021.

“Happy birthday, Taylor Swift!” the former Hole frontwoman wrote at the time. “Aspirational, huge role model and sometimes hair twin.”

Everything Taylor Swift Has Said About Kim Kardashian Feud: Quotes, Song Lyrics and More

Taylor Swift’s feud with Kim Kardashian dates back to 2016 when the reality star was still married to Kanye West. At the time, she publicly defended him following the release of his song “Famous,” which featured the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.”

    JUNE 2016

After Kim did an interview and claimed that Taylor “totally knew” about Ye’s “Famous” lyric and was aware that their phone call was being recorded, the singer hit back in a statement via her publicist. At this point, Taylor’s issue mostly still seemed to be with Ye and not his wife.

“Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West,” the statement said. “Kim Kardashian’s claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.”

2015 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS – BACKSTAGE AND AUDIENCE

Kim released snippet videos of Taylor and Kanye’s phone call and branded her a “snake,” which led to the hashtag #KimExposedTaylorParty trending on Twitter (now X). The Grammy winner hit back with a statement on Instagram.

“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ on his song?” she asked. “It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world. Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted us to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard. Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”

    AUGUST 2017

After months away from the public eye, Taylor returned with a new single called “Look What You Made Me Do.” The music video featured snakes as a reference to Kim’s 2016 tweet, along with various other Easter eggs that referenced the drama.

    NOVEMBER 2017

Taylor released her album Reputation and songs like “I Did Something Bad” and “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” touched on her drama with Kimye. However, most of the lyrics at this point seemed to be directed at Ye, rather than Kim specifically.

The difficult year in general was a common theme on the album, though, as Taylor sang about finding love with Joe Alwyn after her reputation was tarnished. Songs like “Delicate” and “Call It What You Want” referenced how she blocked out the noise thanks to her new relationship.

    MARCH 2019

Taylor referenced her issues with Kim in a piece for

magazine called “30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30.”

“I learned that disarming someone’s petty bullying can be as simple as learning to laugh,” she shared. “In my experience, I’ve come to see that bullies want to be feared and taken seriously. A few years ago, someone started an online hate campaign by calling me a snake on the internet. The fact that so many people jumped on board with it led me to feeling lower than I’ve ever felt in my life, but I can’t tell you how hard I had to keep from laughing every time my 63-foot inflatable cobra named Karyn appeared onstage in front of 60,000 screaming fans [on tour]. It’s the Stadium Tour equivalent of responding to a troll’s hateful Instagram comment with ‘lol.’ It would be nice if we could get an apology from the people who bully us, but maybe all I’ll ever get is the satisfaction of knowing I could survive it, and thrive in spite of it.”

    JUNE 2019

After learning that Scott Borchetta, the head of her former label, had sold her masters to Scooter Braun, Taylor wrote a blog post on Tumblr and mentioned Kim while slamming the decision.

“I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world,” she shared. “All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years. Like when Kim Kardashian orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked and then Scooter got his two clients [Ye and Justin Bieber] together to bully me online about it.”

    AUGUST 2019

In an interview with Vogue, Taylor said, “A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience. I don’t think there are many people who can actually understand what it’s like to have millions of people hate you very loudly. When you say someone is canceled, it’s not a TV show. It’s a human being. You’re sending mass amounts of messaging to this person to either shut up, disappear, or it could also be perceived as, ‘kill yourself.’”

Taylor also released her album Lover this month and it kicked off with the track “I Forgot That You Existed.” While this was mostly a nod to Ye, it covered her 2016 experience as a whole with lyrics like, “I forgot that you existed and I thought that it would kill me but it didn’t, and it was so nice, so peaceful and quiet.”

    SEPTEMBER 2019

Taylor briefly mentioned Kim while discussing the trajectory of her relationship with Ye in a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone.

While reflecting on presenting the rapper with the Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs in 2015, Taylor recalled, “He called me up, maybe a week or so before the event, and we had maybe an hour-long conversation. And he’s like, ‘I really, really would like for you to present this Vanguard Award to me, this would mean so much to me.’ And went into all the reasons why it means so much. Because he can be so sweet. He can be the sweetest. And I was so stoked that he asked me that. And so I wrote this speech up and then we get to the VMAs and I make this speech and he screams, ‘MTV got Taylor Swift up here to present me this award for ratings!’ And I’m standing in the audience with my arm around his wife, and this chill ran through my body. I realized he is so two-faced.”

Editor’s note: Ye’s exact quote was, “You know how many times they announced Taylor was going to give me the award [because] it got them more ratings?”

    JANUARY 2020

Taylor’s Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, was heavily focused on her comeback after being “canceled” in 2016. Referring to the “Taylor Swift is a snake” social media trend, which went viral after Kim called her a “snake” on Twitter (now X), the pop star said, “Do you know how many people have to be tweeting that they hate you for that to happen?”

She also added, “When people decided I was wicked and evil and conniving and not a good person, that was the one I couldn’t really bounce back from, because my whole life was centered around it.”

    MARCH 2020

A full video of the phone call between Taylor and Ye was leaked online and fans immediately noted that it never showed Ye informing Taylor of the “bitch” lyric.

Taylor responded to the leak on her Instagram Story amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about the video footage that was leaked, proving that I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and my fans through hell for 4 years)… SWIPE UP to see what really matters.”

Kim responded and accused Taylor of “lying” about the situation. “The only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied that the word bitch was used without her permission. At the time they spoke the song had not been fully written yet, but as everyone can see in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team said she ‘declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.’ The lie was never about the word bitch, it was always whether there was a call or not and the tone of the conversation. I never edited the footage (another lie) – I only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative.”

Taylor’s publicist, Tree Paine, then reposted her original statement about the situation to clap back at Kim’s message. She pointed out that Kim edited the original PR statement in her above response and did not include the full context of what Tree said about Ye.

For clarity, Tree’s original full statement said, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his song “Famous” on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’” As many fans pointed out, Tree never said that Ye didn’t call Taylor at all. Rather, she just clarified the context of what he said on that phone call.

    DECEMBER 2020

Taylor dropped her second pandemic album, Evermore. While most of the tracks were fictional, there were some autobiographical elements to the album, including the song “Long Story Short,” which referenced her 2016 drama with Kim.

“‘Cause I fell from the pedestal, right down the rabbit hole, long story short it was a bad time,” she sings on the track. “Pushed from the precipice, clung to the nearest lips.”

    OCTOBER 2022

On her album Midnights, Taylor included the song “Karma,” which seemed to be a nod to all of those who scorned her. That, of course, includes Kim.

The hit song has lyrics like, “I keep my side of the street clean, you wouldn’t know what I mean,” and, “Karma’s a relaxing thought, aren’t you envious that for you it’s not?”

    DECEMBER 2023

“[It was] a career death,” Taylor told Time magazine in her Person of the Year profile. “Make no mistake, my career was taken away from me. You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anymore. I went down really, really hard.”

    APRIL 2024

Taylor’s 11th album The Tortured Poets Department featured the song “thanK you aIMee,” which told a story of being bullied. While the bully in the song was named Aimee, the capitalization of KIM in the song title seemed to reveal who the track was really about.

The chorus of the song features Taylor singing, “All that time you were throwing punches, I was building something, and I couldn’t wait to show you it was real. Screamed, ‘F–k you, Aimee,’ to the night sky as the blood was gushing, but I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

She also said, “I wrote a thousand songs that you find uncool. I built a legacy that you can’t undo. But when I count the scars, there’s a moment of truth, that there wouldn’t be this if there hadn’t been you. And maybe you reframed it and in your mind you never beat my spirit black and blue. I don’t think you’ve changed much and so I changed your name and any real defining clues. And one day your kid comes home singing a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”

By the end of the song, she changed the “f–k you, Aimee” lyric to “thank you, Aimee,” adding, “the stars are stunning ‘cause I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

  • Why Scottie Pippen didn’t use rookie gift from Michael Jordan

Why Scottie Pippen didn’t use rookie gift from Michael Jordan

Why Scottie Pippen didn't use rookie gift from Michael Jordan

NBA legend Scottie Pippen wrote in his book,” Unguarded,” that Michael Jordan gave him a set of golf clubs as a rookie gift.

However, Pippen’s doctor told him not to play golf.

“When I was a rookie in 1987, Michael gave me a set of Wilson golf clubs,” Pippen wrote. “He was inviting me into his sanctuary away from basketball. Except I was too naive to realize it. It didn’t help that I was having serious problems with my back. My doctor didn’t mince words: ‘Don’t play golf if you want to have a basketball career.’”

It’s a good thing Pippen listened to his doctor. By not playing golf with Jordan, Pippen was able to protect his back and have a Hall of Fame career.

Jordan and Pippen guided the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles in the 1990s. The Bulls three-peated twice and went undefeated in the Finals.

Pippen’s back became a serious problem in the 1998 Finals against the Utah Jazz. In Game 6, Pippen dunked the ball on the first possession and hurt his back so much that he kept going in and out of the game to receive treatment.

“When I dunked the ball on the first possession of the game, it felt as if someone had stabbed me in the back,” Pippen wrote in his book. “The shock of the landing pinched my nerve. Every time I ran, I got a spasm. I tried to gut it out. I couldn’t. With us leading 17-8, I went to the locker room for electrical stimulation and some stretching. I remained there the rest of the half.”

Pippen somehow played 25 minutes in Game 6. He finished with eight points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Bulls beat the Jazz by a final score of 87-86 in Game 6 to capture their sixth title. Jordan made the game-winning basket over Bryon Russell. He was named Finals MVP for the sixth time.

Jordan and Pippen are no longer friends, but they are universally recognized as the greatest duo in NBA history. The Bulls were 514-177 in the regular season when Jordan and Pippen played.

Jordan averaged 31.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.8 blocks next to Pippen, while Pippen averaged 17.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.9 blocks alongside Jordan.
