Charli XCX has issued a strong warning to fans after some chanted “Taylor Swift is dead” at a show in Brazil.

The singer-songwriter, also known as Charlotte Aitchison, recently played her Partygirl DJ set at a nightclub in São Paulo.

Footage uploaded by attendees seems to show some people shouting the phrase “Taylor Swift is dead” in Portuguese.

Reacting to the fans’ behaviour, Charli, 31, shared a message on social media, posted over a screengrab of a video alerting her to the distasteful chant.

“Can the people who do this please stop,” she wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday (23 June). “Online or at my shows. It is the opposite of what I want and it disturbs me that anyone would think there is room for this in this community. I will not tolerate it.”

Since the release of Charli’s sixth album, Brat, earlier this month, fans of the “360” artist have dissected songs and shared theories about whether certain lyrics are directed to some of her contemporaries.

While the track “Girl, so confusing” was rumoured (and later confirmed) to be about Lorde, the song “Sympathy is a knife” is considered by many to contain references to Swift.

Lyrics from the song include: “Don’t wanna see her backstage at my boyfriend’s show / Fingers crossed behind my back / I hope they break up quick.”

Charli is engaged to George Daniel, the drummer of the indie-pop band The 1975, whose frontman Matty Healy briefly dated Swift in 2023.

In 2018, the “Boom Clap” singer was a support artist on Swift’s Reputation Tour, alongside Camila Cabello.

While being an opening act exposed Charli to a larger audience, the singer later said that the experience has made her realise that she no longer wanted to open for other artists.

“I’m really grateful that [Taylor] asked me on that tour. But as an artist, it kind of felt like I was getting up on stage and waving to five-year-olds,” she said in a Pitchfork profile in 2019. “I need to just own my own f***ing s*** finally.”

In her four-star review of Brat, The Independent’s critic Helen Brown praised Charli’s candid nature across the album, quoting the lyric “I’m famous, but not quite”.

“The admission is as bold, blunt, challenging, and vulnerable as the album on which it appears,” she writes. “BRAT is a hedonistic, ultraviolet collection of songs whose thumping – slightly disorienting – club beats more than succeed in their aim of ‘capturing a feeling of chaos’.”

NBA legend Karl Malone has again come under fire for his scandalous past following an online rumor claiming he has finally made peace with his son.

It’s been widely known that the former Utah Jazz star had a son with a 13-year-old while he was a fully grown adult, though he never dealt with any consequences.

Malone, now 60, had a son conceived with a 13-year-old Gloria Bell when he was 20. He refused to acknowledge or support him, only meeting him once before they agreed to work on their relationship in 2014.

The son, Demetress Bell, went by the name Demetrius until finding out it was actually spelled “Demetress” in 2012. He was also a basketball player and went to play for Northwestern State College on a scholarship but opted to focus on football, leading to a five-year career in the NFL.

According to a social media claim from Facebook user Vance Michael Collins, Malone recently revealed having made peace with Bell.

“NBA great Karl Malone states he has finally made peace with the son he conceived at age 22 with a 13 year old girl, Gloria Bell!!!” the post reads.

“Malone initially denied paternity fearing imprisonment and REFUSED to pay $125 a week in child support despite earning a total $101,723,378 throughout his NBA career! He eventually settled with the family out of court and a DNA test did in fact reveal Malone to be the father of Buffalo Bills player, Demetrius Bell. Malone now publicly acknowledges Bell as his son.”

Although Malone’s statement has yet to be confirmed, it has led to plenty of online criticism for The Mailman.

“I didn’t handle it right; I was wrong,” he said of his relationships with his children in 2018, having also denied fathering twins who were determined to be his. “Father Time is the biggest thief that’s out there, and you can’t get that back.”

In a clip which has quickly gone viral on social media, Swift’s legion of die-hard fans are convinced her NFL-star boyfriend was shedding tears as she produced an emotional piano ballad which combined three of her famous songs.

The pop sensation sang a mashup of her Mary’s Song, So High School and Everything Has Changed hits, which seemingly tugged on Travis’s heartstrings in the crowd.

One fellow audience member even appeared to be consoling him as the emotion took over, and his teary moment has sparked a frenzy amongst Swift fans online.

One user wrote on X alongside the video: ‘i’ll never get over the fact that travis started crying when taylor sang marys song x so high school x everything has changed’.

‘THIS IS SO SAD AND CUTE OMGGG,’ posted a second.

A third commented: ‘im actually never going to be ok after this. big tough nfl man Travis Kelce crying bc his wife is singing to him’.

‘Emotional wreck over people I don’t know,’ wrote another.

After the show, Travis and Taylor were seen leaving the stage together hand-in-hand while waving to fans on their way out of the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Kelce spent Thursday playing golf with Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes in London before flying out to The Netherlands to support Swift.

His attendance in Amsterdam on Friday night was confirmed when Swift performed ‘Karma’ and sang ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’ – which she typically only does when he is there.

The football legend was joined by Mahomes and his wife Brittany in their hospitality suite for Saturday’s show but made sure he was ready at the side of the stage to accompany his girlfriend backstage.

Fans waiting in the wings were anticipating the couple walking in front of them and went wild when they finally emerged.

Kelce was hyping his lover up, waving his arms in the air to signal more cheers from the crowd for her.

Holding hands as they walked together, Swift continued to soak up the adoration as she waved goodbye to her Dutch fans as she prepares to take her show to yet another city.

Mahomes and his wife, meanwhile, were spotted in hospitality seating by eagle-eyed Swifties who shared videos of the couple singing and swaying along to Swift’s many hits, while Kelce could be seen behind them belting the lyrics out.

The NFL tight end surprised fans by joining the transition skit ahead of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which involves some of Swift’s backup dancers forcing her to get ready to perform despite her protest.

He even sweetly carried her to a red couch during the bit — which he reflected on during Wednesday’s episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

“I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage,” he noted. “[I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby.’”

He also admitted the cameo was his idea, with him originally suggesting he should ride a bike on stage during the “1989” era with the other dancers.

“She found the perfect part of the show to put me in. … It was, like, the safest option,” he added.

Travis even teased that fans would likely see more of him on stage. “Who knows, might not be the last time. You guys will have to keep showing up to the Eras Tour to see if I pop out of the stage or whatnot,” he said.

‘Who’s afraid of little old me?’ she sings on her latest record

Here are a few things that you could mention when writing about Taylor Swift: her Eras tour is the first to ever gross over $1 billion. She’s beaten two Billboard chart records previously held by the Beatles. She’s recently become the world’s largest contributor to eradicating food poverty per capita. And the V&A has just announced they are hosting an exhibition about her.

But instead, writing in Newsweek, American conservative John Mac Ghlionn chose to focus on Swift’s suitability as a ‘role model’ to ‘our sisters and daughters’ because, ‘at 34, Swift remains unmarried and childless.’ He went on to condemn her dating 12 men ‘in a few years’, asking what message she was sending to young women about ‘stability, commitment, and even love itself.’

There are not enough friendship bracelets in the world to spell out the stunning levels of hypocrisy Swift faces as the world’s biggest pop star but it’s worth mentioning to those unfamiliar with Tayvis that Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend and NFL star, is also 34 and childless, and yet no one seems to be considering locking away their brothers and sons in fear of what will happen if they watch too many games. Commentators reducing Swift to her dating history and using it to both cast moral judgment and generate clickbait is nothing new, and perhaps one the reasons why there is nothing more Swiftian than how she catches criticism with one hand and throws it back out into the universe as a pop masterpiece with the other.

Unsurprisingly, the incredible power Swift commands is a threat to certain types of men (Ghlionn has expressed misogynistic views before). The only way to manage this threat seems to be to suggest Swift has failed at a notion of womanhood last acceptable in the 1950s. To define her by her achievements would be to admit that women are far more than their proximity to a man, and can achieve a hell of a lot without them. Swift isn’t the only victim of this sexist drivel; Jennifer Aniston has been derided for her single status for years – but recently said on the matter that she was more than OK with it herself, adding that she didn’t ‘like the idea of sacrificing who you were or what you needed’. Corners of society are still not comfortable with those who usurp the status quo, either by being a woman who doesn’t prioritise men, or, and not unrelated, are stratospherically successful. Ghlion’s words come off like a flurry of paper arrows attempting to take down a giant, one who doesn’t even realise he’s there.

There’s another problem people like Ghlionn have with Swift, that’s not just her marital status or how she’s linked to a host of chiselled-jawed pin-ups, or even that she sings about them in her songs, potentially inviting the suggestion she courts the discussion. Swift disrupts the natural order. Young women are meant to be irrelevant, unserious, and silly. Being mothers and wives will be their greatest achievements. Yet Swift is a shrewd, self-determining cultural sensation, an economic tour de force and a billionaire, whose greatest love story isn’t with a man but with legions of female fans across the globe. Trad wife, she is not.

Swift is, of course, a great role model chiefly because she does things on her own terms, as many young women are choosing to. You’ve only got to look at marriage and birth decline rates to know Swift is part of a generation that is rejecting much of what has come before. ‘Who’s afraid of little old me?’ she sings on her latest record. Men like Ghlionn are terrified.

Some viewers thought they could spot a bump on the singer, who welcomed her first baby last year with A$AP Rocky.

“Sorry but Rihanna look REAL PREGNANT!” wrote one on Twitter.

“Is Rihanna pregnant?” asked another. “Interesting costume choice if not.”

“So we all think is Rihanna pregnant again, right?” chimed in a third.

A fourth wrote: “Was the surprise ‘guest’ the belly?” referring to the performance’s lack of special guests.

PREGNANT AGAIN ASAP

Rihanna welcomed her first child, a boy whose name is unknown, with fellow music star A$AP, 34, in May 2022.

While the songstress has become renowned for her revealing outfits, even when pregnant the first time, she decided to cover up for tonight’s momentous performance.

Her set at the Super Bowl, which included hits Diamonds, Umbrella and Rude Boy, was her first performance in seven years.

Her baby daddy was seen watching on the field and filming his fiancée on his phone.

SUBTLE CLUE?

Before the Halftime show, Rihanna appeared to drop a sly hint that she would not be alone on stage.

“I’m thinking about bringing someone. I’m not sure, we’ll see,’” she said to CBS’ Nate Burleson.

In a press conference earlier this week, Rihanna told fans that she was feeling empowered by being a mom.

“When you’re a mom you feel like you can do anything,” she told Michael Strahan.

“As scary as it is because I haven’t been on stage for seven years, there’s something exhilarating about it all.”

While she has taken a back seat from music in recent years and focussed on her lingerie line Savage X Fenty, Rihanna previously said she wouldn’t be leaving her newborn son for anything other than a mega performance.

“If I’m going to leave my baby, I’m going to leave my baby for something special,” she said in November.

Kris, 68, dropped the bombshell during a family dinner in season 5 episode 7 of The Kardashians on Thursday.

The matriarch was playing a “peak and pit” game with her daughters Khloe, Kim, and Kendall Jenner, where they revealed the high and low points of the skiing trip.

“I wanted to tell you guys something because I hadn’t told you yet,” she said, wiping away tears.

“You know I went to the doctor and I had my scan? They found… and this just makes me really emotional, but… they found a cyst and like a little tumor on my ovary.

“And so I went to the doctor and Doctor A said I’ve got to have my ovaries taken out. And I’m just really emotional about it because you know they came in handy with you guys.”

“I’m emotional about it because that’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown in my tummy, and so that’s a very sacred place to me,” she said in confessional.

Khloe then said that Kourtney – who was recovering at home from her son Rocky’s birth – was calling, and asked Kris if she wanted to tell her now.

“Yeah, I’m just getting a little bit of surgery because I have a tumor on my ovary so they’re gonna remove them,” Kris told her eldest child.

“But it’s just, you know the emotional part for me is just having that gone,” Kris replied.

“She’s the best doctor in the world, but then you go to do it and it’s so real.”

Kylie and Jason Kelce have not ruled out the possibility of having a fourth 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦.

The mom of three dropped the revelation casually during a recent interview with NY magazine’s The Strategist while listing off items she can’t live without.

Among items, which included Covergirl mascara and Living Proof dry shampoo, was a $22 set of Hanna Anderson short john pajama set for kids.

“We lucked out because we had three girls,” Kylie, 32, said. “We’re rotating through clothes we bought for our first daughter now to our youngest, so we have gone through a lot of hand-me-downs.”

She added that many pajamas have started to unravel at the edges or keep in stains as the kids wear them over and over again, but not this set.

“The Hanna Anderson PJs last forever,” she asserts, before revealing they still have some pairs packed away “just in case there ends up being a fourth.”

Earlier this year, the couple designed a new playroom for their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, with Kylie stating at the time that “family is everything.”

Kylie and Jason met via Tinder in the winter of 2014.

On their first date, Jason recalled getting too drunk and falling asleep.

“Got a little too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life,” he said on a 2023 episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” with brother Travis Kelce. “It was love at first sight.”

Despite the alcohol, Kylie gave him a second chance.

Jason proposed in 2017 and the tied the knot at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018.

“I think it’s no coincidence that I have enjoyed my best years of my career with Kylie by my side,” Jason said when he retired from the NFL in March 2024. “Every accolade I have ever received has come with her in my life.”

The couple have been all over the spotlight since Jason’s younger brother Travis began dating Taylor Swift last summer.

“It’s interesting,” she said of her newfound fame. “I am trying to take it in stride and just make sure that as people are talking about me, it’s about important things.”

Kylie — who attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows in London last month — said of the couple’s relationship, “Ultimately, if Travis is happy, we’re happy.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s relationship remains the apple of the media’s collective eye — and after more than a month of the spotlight, it’s starting to take a toll on his loved ones.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the frenzy in the press over TayTay and Travis has become incredibly overwhelming for his immediate family members — including his mom, Donna, his dad, Ed, and even his fellow NFLer and older brother, Jason.

We’re told all the attention the couple’s getting isn’t the fam’s favorite thing in the world — seeing how it ends up spilling over on them — but, by the same token, they’re happy Travis is happy … so they’re dealing.

Our sources tell us the whole family’s been under a microscope since the initial dating rumblings way back in September … and they’ve all been getting blown up nonstop on their personal phones and on social media since Trav and Tay went public as a couple.

One other interesting tidbit relayed to us … Travis’s flesh and blood are a bit startled by Swifties and their intense, to put it mildly, love for her. We’re told their fierce passion actually makes them a little worried for her BF’s safety — even with him being a 6’5″, 250 lb. NFL superstar.

All that being said, the Kelces keep smiling for cameras — they’re fully aware how many are on them, especially when they interact with Taylor face-to-face.

Fortunately for them, there might be a break in the near future, as Taylor’s about to go back on tour again, and this time she’ll be overseas. Of course, he’ll be here playing football … probably into February, as his Chiefs remain a favorite to reach the Super Bowl.

However, some reports suggest Trav might actually join her for some of those international dates in 2024 — after his season’s done — so, we’ll see if there’s a breather for the Kelces or not.
