Report: Over 200 Million Americans Watched Kansas City Chiefs Win Super Bowl, ‘Rigged’ Or Not

Many Americans were not honest when they stated on social media platforms this month that they planned to abstain from watching the Super Bowl. A new report released by the NFL showed a record number of people watched the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Super Bowl Sunday.

There was a “rigged” conspiracy around the Kansas City Chiefs

Numerous conservative voices claimed the league propped up the Chiefs during the postseason so Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, could endorse President Joe Biden for the 2024 election. Swift hasn’t publicly endorsed Biden for the 2024 election yet.

However, the alleged conspiracy supposedly turned away fans. I read numerous Tweets and comments on NewsBreak and other forums where people claimed they would not watch the “rigged” Super Bowl.

But maybe those accounts were just bots.

Over 200 million Americans watched the Super Bowl

According to a press release from the NFL, Nielsen partnered with the league to survey how many people watched the Chiefs play the 49ers. Per the release, nearly two in three Americans watched the game:
“According to the custom survey, Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11 reached approximately 210 million viewers – nearly 2/3 of Americans – across CBS Television Network, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, and CBS Sports, Univision and NFL digital properties, including NFL+.

This is a 4% increase compared with the 202 million unique viewers reported in Nielsen’s syndicated ratings service, which measures viewers that watched at least one minute of the game. The survey also revealed that the average minute audience was approximately 143 million viewers.”
Are these numbers fabricated as a part of a psychological operation to beat down resistance to the league?

You’ll watch the Super Bowl in 2025 too

Fans claimed they’d boycott the Chiefs Wild Card round matchup against the Miami Dolphins because the game was being shown on Peacock. While ratings were lower than they would have been on NBC, they certainly had high ratings on the over-the-top streaming service.

The NFL is putting on the best show people can watch in the fall and winter months. While people want to complain about the direction football is going, the stats show people will watch regardless.

It doesn’t matter if people flood social media platforms to cry they won’t watch games. The league knows you’ll watch anyway.

Until you don’t, they have no reason to improve the product. But then again, what’s the alternative?

Kevin Durant’s Stellar Season: Unleashing His Unstoppable Arsenal on the NBA Court

Kevin Durant has been lighting up the NBA this season with his exceptional performances, showcasing his incredible skills, and establishing himself as one of the league’s premier players. The numbers speak for themselves, as Durant’s statistics paint a picture of his dominance on the court.

Scoring has been Durant’s forte this season, as he has been averaging an impressive 31.0 points per game. His ability to consistently put up points has made him a nightmare for opposing defenses to contain. Whether it’s his deadly mid-range jump shot, his smooth drives to the basket, or his deadly accuracy from beyond the arc, Durant has a versatile scoring arsenal that keeps defenders guessing.

But Durant’s impact extends beyond scoring. He has also been a reliable contributor on the boards, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game. His length, athleticism, and timing allow him to snatch rebounds in traffic, helping his team secure second-chance opportunities and control the flow of the game.

Additionally, Durant has proven to be an excellent playmaker, dishing out 5.6 assists per game. His court vision and basketball IQ enable him to make smart passes and set up his teammates for scoring opportunities. Whether it’s finding open shooters on the perimeter or making precise feeds to cutters, Durant’s passing ability adds another dimension to his game.

Defensively, Durant has been a force to be reckoned with, averaging 1.1 blocks per game. His combination of size, agility, and timing allows him to protect the rim and disrupt opponents’ shots. His defensive presence has been instrumental in anchoring the Brooklyn Nets’ defense and providing a formidable deterrent in the paint.

Durant’s shooting efficiency has been nothing short of remarkable. He boasts an incredible 51.8% field goal percentage, which is a testament to his shot selection and ability to convert at a high rate. His shooting touch extends beyond the arc, where he is shooting an impressive 46.7% from three-point range. This deadly accuracy from a long distance puts constant pressure on defenses to close out on him, creating more space for his teammates to operate.

With his well-rounded game and incredible efficiency, Durant has established himself as one of the most dominant players in the NBA this season. His scoring prowess, rebounding, playmaking, shot-blocking, and shooting efficiency make him a complete package and a nightmare for opposing teams to handle.

As the season progresses, fans and analysts eagerly anticipate Durant’s continued excellence and the impact he will have on the Brooklyn Nets’ championship aspirations. With his exceptional performances and all-around skills, Durant has solidified his status as one of the league’s elite players and a force to be reckoned with on the court.

  • Romaпce at risk of falliпg apart after backlash from faпs: Travis Kelce aпd Taylor Swift.

Romaпce at risk of falliпg apart after backlash from faпs: Travis Kelce aпd Taylor Swift.

The once-sparkling future of our prom king and queen, the football star and the head cheerleader, has almost certainly been dashed by one very public rage explosion, drunken disorder, and a spectacularly insensitive decision to party hard after a mass shooting at his Super Bowl parade.

Mere hours after 22 fans were shot — nine children among them, a young mother dead — Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce thought it was a great idea to hit ‘Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar’ and take selfies with cops while carrying an open beer bottle on the street, having earlier taken to the parade stage looking far too drunk to speak.

‘Caveman’ and ‘douchebag’ were two descriptors used by outraged fans on social media.

Warning to Travis Kelce: look no further than Taylor Swift’s songbook to glimpse your imminent future.

To quote ‘Bad Blood’: ‘Did you have to do this? I was thinking that you could be trusted. Did you have to ruin what was shiny? Now it’s all rusted’.

As we well know, Team Taylor will allow no one or nothing to smear her assiduously crafted image.

Bodies are strewn all over her lyrics, ex-boyfriends accused of terrible behavior, her canon built on broken romances, victimization, and the reclaiming of her ‘power’.

This narrative arc has made her a billionaire. Who thinks that Swift is going to jeopardize her image for some trashy football player she leveled up to global fame?

The first red flag emerged at Sunday’s Super Bowl itself, when Kelce pushed his 65-year-old coach, Andy Reid, and roared his outrage in front of 125 million viewers – fury all over his reddened face.

    Tom Brady would never.

What kind of message does this send to Swift’s impressionable, overwhelmingly female fan base? That this kind of abuse is okay?

And if this is how Kelce behaves in public, what does he do behind locker-room doors?

Count me among those not buying Reid’s excuses for this most terrible treatment.

‘I love that intensity!’ Reid told NBC Sports after the game. ‘It radiates’.

Doubtless Kelce’s sweat and spittle radiated too.

And remember, this isn’t an isolated incident.

‘He had a temper’, Reid said of Kelce in an interview before the Super Bowl. ‘So, on the field he would go off and do some crazy things. He was a challenge early… But he’s grown up right before our eyes.’

    Has he?

Clearly slamming into other men the size of brick houses isn’t enough of an outlet.

Taylor Swift has granted a young girl with cancer’s wish to meet her.

During the pop superstar’s Sydney Eras Tour show on Friday, she gave the coveted “22” hat to 9-year-old Australian resident Scarlett Oliver, whose stepmother Natalie had shared her story and desire to meet Swift via social media.

“Scarlett is a 9-year-old from Perth, and she was diagnosed in October last year with a high grade glioma — this is a very aggressive brain cancer with no cure,” wrote Natalie on a fan page for Swift, 34, on Facebook earlier this week, according to a screenshot shared to X (formerly Twitter).

She continued, “The prognosis given to us was 12-18 months from diagnosis. She has been an absolute warrior through surgeries, radiation and other treatments (all done to try and prolong her life.)”

Natalie said the Make-a-Wish Foundation had previously granted Scarlett’s wish to meet Swift — but the organization was ultimately unable to make it happen. Instead, the stepmother-stepdaughter duo scored tickets to the “Love Story” singer’s performance at Accor Stadium.

“Scarlett is so excited and would absolutely love to receive the 22 hat from Taylor (as would everyone else I’m sure),” continued the Facebook post, which referenced a part in Swift’s Eras Tour show where she gives a black hat worn during “22” to a pre-selected fan in the crowd.

“I just want her to experience everything in life and if anyone deserves a little happiness it’s her,” wrote Natalie. “She deserves the world.”

On Wednesday, she posted to Facebook again and shared a photo of Scarlett holding a sign that read, “Taylor can I have the 22 hat? Please.”

Alongside the image, Natalie asked “friends far and wide” to share the post, noting that Scarlett was “beyond excited” for the concert. “We would love to make this happen for our strong, beautiful girl!! You never know what’s possible,” concluded the post.

Ultimately, Scarlett’s wish was granted at the concert. According to a video of the moment on X, Swift leaned down, gave the young girl a hug and kissed her hands before placing the hat on her head.

Patrick Mahomes agaiп accυsed of receiviпg favoritism from NFL.

Patrick Mahomes admits Travis Kelce was a tough act to follow after the tight end 'had people tearing up' with his emotional pre-Super Bowl speech: 'How do I even follow that?'

The selection of Patrick Mahomes for the NFL Pro Bowl roster has caused a stir amongst fans and analysts after one of the top quarterbacks this season was snubbed.

Patrick Mahomes again accused of receiving favoritism from NFL

Mahomes guided the Kansas City Chiefs to Super Bowl 57 in 2022, but this season has been a disappointing one for the 28-year-old by his usual high standards. The Chiefs are 10-6 after a dip in form approaching the playoffs, with Mahomes’ form nosediving. Meanwhile, other quarterbacks such as Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen have been earning praise across the board.

Despite that, Allen was left out of the Pro Bowl roster in favour of Mahomes and Miami Dolphins’Tua Tagovailoa. And Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd claimed he “can’t take the Pro Bowl seriously” after he was snubbed in favour of Mahomes. “NFL does so many things right, [but] the Pro Bowl is not one of them,” he said. “Josh Allen leads the NFL with 42 touchdowns… didn’t make the Pro Bowl. If the Bills win against Miami this weekend. I think they will, they’ll be the number two seed.”

He later added: “Mahomes, having the worst year of his career, he made it too. Mahomes and Josh Allen have the same number of passing touchdowns, 27. Allen has 15 rushing touchdowns, Mahomes has zero. Josh Allen beat Mahomes head to head, has 15 more total touchdowns. The turnovers [are] fairly, the teams are both 10 and six.

Patrick Mahomes again accused of receiving favoritism from NFL

“Mahomes made it, Allen didn’t, and I love Mahomes but the Bills offense scores 27 points per game. The Chiefs offense with the smartest offensive coach perhaps in our life, Andy Reid, scores 22. Again, I don’t know… maybe the 15 extra rushing touchdowns impacted that.” Why was Josh Allen not selected?
Allen leads the NFL touchdown charts with 42 overall and the AFC by 13. He is tied with Jalen Hurts for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season with 15, in addition to 3,947 passing yards this season.

There are some reasons to explain why Allen was not named on the Pro Bowl roster. Despite excelling in racking up a huge number of touchdowns, he also has proved to be a risky passer of the ball with 16 interceptions – an average of one per game. He has also fumbled the ball six times this year – a career high – and has lost three of them. He’s accounting for 19 total turnovers in 16 games so far, which may suggest he is less reliable than Mahomes.

Kylie Kelce Reveals Where Jason Kelce and Their Girls Fall on Salty vs. Sweet Snacks (Exclusive)

The NFL wife and mom of three is helping celebrate Lindt’s 2024 Super Bowl commercial

Kylie Kelce is keeping it sweet this Super Bowl Sunday.

The NFL wife and mom of three, 31, is partnering with Lindt as the brand debuts its first-ever Super Bowl commercial airing nationally during the first quarter. Kelce tells PEOPLE that she’s excited to back sweet snacks amid all the salty offerings at Super Bowl celebrations.

“I think that when it comes to football, the talk is always of the salty snacks, the savory stuff like wings and dips, sliders, all of that sort of stuff that you enjoy during the game. And I think that very few people put the focus on how to take a sweet turn after you’ve enjoyed all those salty snacks,” she says.

Of all the products the chocolate maker puts out, Lindor truffles are her go-to. “Everyone can get a flavor that they’d like. They’re also beautiful to look at on your table, so they’re a great complement to everything you traditionally think of for your game day spread,” she adds.

When it comes to snacking at home with husband Jason Kelce and their three daughters, Kylie says there’s a good mix of salty and sweet snackers under her roof.

“Our girls will choose sweet every single time, and specifically, the ‘red chocolate’ is what they call it,” she says of the candy wrapped in red foil.

“I like to keep some dark chocolate for myself because I like to mix it up sometimes. Jason probably leans more towards salty, although he regularly steals Lindor truffles from my stash,” she laughs. “I would say I’m smack dab in the middle. I love some salty snacks, but there is something about indulging in some sweet chocolatey bliss that will never be lost on me.”

Lindt’s Super Bowl commercial marks the first time viewers will see the chocolatier on their screens during the big game. Titled “Life is a Ball,” it’s a 30-second decadent journey that explores the joy that comes from indulging in the sweet treats.

“If we were doing the big game day at home, I would be absolutely knee-deep in the bowl of Lindor truffles, but I will say they are out on our counter right now,” Kylie shares. “I already dove into them this morning, so I will get my fill on Sunday, even if I am not at home to enjoy them in our living room.”

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Taylor Swift showed her territorial side with a not-so-subtle gesture aimed at Travis Kelce during her Eras Tour show in Sydney, Australia, on Friday.

Taylor Swift pointing to Travis at Sydney tour

The pop star was singing her 2020 song “Willow” when she pointed at the Kansas City Chiefs player and sang the lyrics, “That’s my man.”

Swifties picked up on Swift’s shout-out to Kelce and cheered with delight both in the crowd and online.

“I love that she does this,” one fan wrote on X, with another adding, “We know Taylor we know that’s your man.”

The folky tune is from her “Evermore” album and is about yearning for someone’s love.

Elsewhere in her performance, Swift, 34, paid tribute to Kelce’s recent 2024 Super Bowl victory by singling him out once again.

The “Anti-Hero” singer was singing her 2010 song “Long Live” when she pointed a finger in Kelce’s direction while singing the words, “When they gave us our trophies.”

The “Catching Kelce” alum, also 34, attended night one of Swift’s Sydney concert series decked out in Eras Tour friendship bracelets on both wrists.

He watched his girlfriend bring down the house from a VIP tent and was spotted enthusiastically high-fiving fans.

Kelce’s private jet touched down in the Aussie city a day before, after which he and Swift enjoyed a cozy date at the Sydney Zoo. The couple held hands as they watched the adorable koalas.

The “New Heights” podcast co-host was seen shacking up with Swift at her $25,000-per-night presidential suite at the five-star Crown Sydney hotel that evening.

This isn’t the first time Kelce has been called out by the Grammy winner onstage.

She famously changed the lyrics in her 2022 song “Karma” from “Karma is the guy on the screen” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” during the Buenos Aires stop of her blockbuster tour in November. At the time, Kelce was in the audience.

It’s no surprise Kelce has been in attendance at Swift’s concerts when his NFL schedule allowed for it considering the “Cruel Summer” artist was in the stands at many of his games this year.

Swift even flew all the way from her concert in Tokyo, Japan, to watch him win the Super Bowl against the San Fransisco 49ers on Feb. 11.

She was also cheering for her man in a VIP suite on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Kelce and Swift started dating on the down-low in July 2023 and took their relationship public in September.

Kevin Durant’s Ambitious Vision: A “Dream Come True” to Revive the Seattle SuperSonics

In a recent interview, NBA superstar Kevin Durant revealed his aspirations beyond his playing career, expressing his desire to be involved in the revitalization of the Seattle SuperSonics. Durant, who began his professional career with the SuperSonics before the franchise relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder, expressed his deep connection to the city of Seattle and his eagerness to contribute to its basketball legacy.

For Durant, the idea of helping run the SuperSonics after his retirement represents a “dream come true.” Having experienced the passion and support of Seattle fans during his early years in the league, he recognizes the potential of bringing NBA basketball back to the city and rekindling the fervor that once surrounded the SuperSonics.

Durant’s sentiment resonates with countless basketball aficionados who have longed for the return of the SuperSonics. The team’s departure in 2008 left a void in the hearts of Seattle’s loyal fan base and created a yearning for the restoration of the franchise.

While Durant acknowledges that his current focus remains on his playing career, he has made it clear that his connection to Seattle runs deep. He has been actively involved in community initiatives in the city and has shown unwavering support for the return of the SuperSonics.

Durant’s vision aligns with the sentiments of many who believe that Seattle, with its rich basketball history and passionate fan base, deserves another chance to host an NBA team. The success of the Seattle Storm, the city’s WNBA franchise, further emphasizes the potential for a thriving basketball culture in the region.

Reviving the SuperSonics would not only fulfill Durant’s personal dream but also have a profound impact on the city of Seattle. The return of an NBA team would invigorate the local economy, unite the community, and create new opportunities for aspiring young players in the area.

However, the journey to bring back the SuperSonics is not without its challenges. It would require significant investment, collaboration with local stakeholders, and NBA approval. As Durant continues to make his mark on the court, fans and basketball enthusiasts eagerly await the next chapter of the SuperSonics’ story. The prospect of Durant’s potential involvement in the franchise’s revival adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation for what the future may hold.

While it remains to be seen how Durant’s post-retirement plans unfold, his expressed passion for the SuperSonics serves as a beacon of hope for Seattle basketball fans. The city’s rich history and unwavering support provide a solid foundation for the revival of the SuperSonics, and Durant’s endorsement only strengthens the cause.
