Swift did celebrate her pre-birthday on Tuesday night with the likes of actor Miles Teller and his wife. She blew the candles of a white and red cake with roses while everybody was singing happy birthday to her but without Travis Kelce. Surely, the couple will have more time to celebrate when the two of them have time in their schedules to enjoy together. For now, Travis has to fulfil his responsibilities with the Kansas City Chiefs. At least he had time to celebrate his girlfriend last Sunday.

Sotheby’s is hosting an NBA auction which features items from the inaugural In-Season Tournament – including 13 game-worn jerseys from the champion Los Angeles Lakers.

The jerseys being sold in the auction were worn by the Lakers in their semifinal game against the New Orleans Pelicans and are all being sold as one item.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis feature in this collection, as do the rest of the members of the team which went on to win the inaugural tournament.

 

That 13-jersey collection has a starting bid of $200,000 and is expected to be sold for between $250,000-$500,000

In addition, James’ so-called ‘City Edition’ jersey that he wore in the quarterfinals against the Phoenix Suns is being sold.

Indianapolis Hosts Inaugural All-Star Weekend, Marking a Memorable 21st Appearance for LeBron.

Welcome back, LeBron James. Welcome for the first time, Paolo Banchero, Scottie Barnes, Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Maxey.

All-Star weekend in Indianapolis is here, with some familiar names, some new faces, a nod to nostalgia and a bit of unwinding for everyone before the stretch run of the season. Most of the 54 players who will be part of the weekend’s on-court festivities – and quite a few more are coming as well – began arriving on Thursday.

The rundown of events, and there are dozens, officially opened Thursday night with a tip-off party. Indiana All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton showed up in the ultimate Hoosier State style, in an IndyCar – the state may be hoops-crazy, but auto racing is pretty big here as well – driven by Indiana native Conor Daly, a two-time top-10 finisher at the Indianapolis 500.

 

Haliburton shared the stage with another legend of basketball in Indiana – Larry Bird, who handed Haliburton a ceremonial golden basketball.

“The fans are excited. I’m excited,” Haliburton said. “It’s a chance to showcase our city.”

For James, it’s his 21st All-Star weekend in his 21 NBA seasons. He didn’t make the All-Star Game as a rookie; he made the weekend as part of the rookie game. He’s made every All-Star Game since, now the first player to be picked for the showcase in 20 different seasons. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a 19-time selection.

“I’m humbled and very blessed, obviously,” James said. “I don’t take it for granted, being an All-Star. The fact that I still get to represent this franchise, one, my family – which is most important, my family name on the back of the jersey, that’s very important to me when it comes to acknowledgement and accolades and things of that nature – and also the fans, who’ve been down with me for the last two decades-plus.”

There is something for everyone. There are all the traditional NBA on-court events – the Rising Stars and celebrity games on Friday; the dunk contest, 3-point shootout and skills competition on Saturday; then the All-Star Game itself on Sunday. Added to the slate for Saturday: a 3-point contest between NBA shooting king Stephen Curry and WNBA 3-point contest record-holder Sabrina Ionescu.

There’s a game between a pair of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as the NBA continues to give HBCU institutions part of the All-Star spotlight. This year, the game is Virginia Union against Winston-Salem State on Saturday afternoon. This weekend, a glass LED court is set to be part of the show on Friday and Saturday. There’s even a fan event called NBA Crossover, set up in a 350,000-square-foot space where ticketholders can try virtual reality headsets, test out the latest offerings from Jordan Brand, play with an airless basketball, even get a haircut while playing video games. And there’s a brunch honoring icons of the game on Sunday, an event that’s almost as tough a ticket to get as the game itself.

“Honestly, it’s just amazing to be an All-Star,” Banchero said. The Orlando forward was at All-Star weekend last year for rookie and skills events – this year, he’s got events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, having made the big game for the first time.

Banchero is one of four first-time All-Stars, joining New York’s Brunson, Philadelphia’s Maxey and Toronto’s Barnes. Plenty of other players are part of the weekend for the first time; that’s what events like the Rising Stars games are about, to give the league’s top promising players a chance to get a feel for the big stage.

The celebration of the Chiefs’ 25-22 Sυper Bowl victory over the 49ers is hard to sυммarize withoυt мentioning Jason Kelce’s faмed lυchador мask that was seen in varioυs photos on social мedia.

Yet, υnknowingly, Kelce was wearing the мask that belongs to Kansas City fan and 8th-grader Elijah Sмith.

On Friday мorning, Kelce responded to Sмith’s faмily, based in Dallas, after they reached oυt to tell the seven-tiмe Pro-Bowler that the мask belonged to their son.

“Operation ‘Get Elijah His Mask Back’ is υnderway,” Kelce posted on X.

“I appreciate everyone bringing this to мy attention, and look forward to υniting Elijah with his мask once again, he added. “Yoυr мask indeed brings great fortυne, I owe yoυ big tiмe, sorry it was coммandeered.”

Elijah explained he gave the мask to Kelce before the two posed for a pictυre together.

“Then I got a pictυre with hiм wearing it and then I jυst hυng oυt next to theм for five to 10 мinυtes, they were dancing and everything,” Elijah told NBC.

The 8th-grader explained he tried to rυn after Jason with his friend for the мask, bυt the crowd was too overwhelмing and loυd to get his attention.

 

“I saw videos on Instagraм this week of hiм wearing it at the next after-party he went to, so he clearly never took it off the whole night,” he added.

On the мost recent episode of Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast co-hosted with yoυnger brother and Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, Jason said the мask мade the night even мore мeмorable.

In Jason’s version of the evening, which differs froм what Elijah said, the Eagles center said he foυnd the мask on the floor at the Chiefs’ after-party.

“There’s soмething aboυt finding that lυchador мask that really jυst transforмed the night,” Kelce said. “It really did. It was insane.”

Elijah and his parents, Thad and Sarah, wish to hold on to the мask as a good oмen for the next season.

However, Elijah hopes to get another aυtograph in retυrn.

“He was happy. He was excited. There was so мυch celebrating going on and dancing. And yoυ coυldn’t help bυt be excited,” said Sarah Sмith. “I asked hiм when we got to the rooм, ‘Wait, he has yoυr мask?’ And he’s like ‘Yea’ and I said ‘Are yoυ υpset?’ And he jυst wasn’t υpset, he was a little bυммed becaυse it’s his aυtographed мask with Trent McDυffie, that was υpsetting, bυt at the end of the day we were all celebrating a Sυper Bowl win.”

Kelce was in attendance at Allegiant Stadiυм in Las Vegas in sυpport of Travis, who added his third Sυper Bowl in the last five seasons with Kansas City.

The Chiefs shared photos and videos of their arrival on Saturday evening, with Kelce seen sporting an all-black outfit and sunglasses as he exited the aircraft.

Kansas City enters Sunday’s matchup against New England hoping to snap a two-game losing streak with four games left this season. They are also coming off a controversial 20-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills, which saw Kelce pull off an incredible lateral for a touchdown that was negated due to an offside call.

Additionally, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was fined $50,000 by the NFL after screaming at the game officials and ranting to Bills quarterback Josh Allen postgame about the decision.

Whether or not Kelce’s popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift will be present at the game remains unknown.

Swift has now attended six Chiefs games since September as her romance with Kelce continues to reach new heights.

On Saturday, reports suggested that Kelce has already asked Swift’s father Scott for her hand in marriage, a request which was happily granted.

A source close to Kelce told Page Six: ‘Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.’

While it is as yet unclear whether the rumors are true, Kelce and Scott did get on like a house on fire when they first met, at Taylor’s Eras show tour in Argentina.

During the Chiefs’ bye week, Kelce flew to accompany his girlfriend on the South American leg of her worldwide, sold-out tour, and was spotted in a VIP booth alongside Scott.

At one point, Taylor changed the lyrics to one of her songs to reference going home to ‘the guy on the Chiefs’, and both Kelce and Scott Swift had an adorable reaction to the moment.

The pair first made their relationship public when Swift attended Kansas City’s dominant 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 3.

The Chiefs started a 4-0 record with Swift in attendance. After a 6-1 start to the season, they began experiencing turbulence after losing to the Broncos in late October. Swift was also present during the Chiefs’ two most recent losses.

Kansas City is currently 8-5 on top the AFC West and are highly favored to win over the 3-10 Patriots.
