Taylor Swift appeared at Arrowhead Stadium to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as the team took on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and before the network cameras got to see her in the suite, it was the Buffalo Bills who got the first look.

 

NFL Network’s James Palmer was in the Bills’ tunnel as the team prepared to go out on the field. Trailing behind them, clomping down the ramp, was Swift. She was in a black pea coat and a sweater, hoping to see the Chiefs get back in the win column.

It didn’t seem like the Bills players noticed her coming. Gabe Davis was putting his helmet back on while Dalton Kincaid was getting ready to run onto the field with his team.

It was Swift’s first NFL game since the bombshell Time interview as she was named the magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2023. She made plenty of comments that got the attention of the NFL world.

Among the topics of discussion was how “football is awesome” and she was “missing out” her entire life. She also talked about how her and Kelce started dating in the first place.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said. “We started hanging out right after that. So, we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

She also drew attention for her “dads, Brads and Chads remark.”

“There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she said.

“I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”

On Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, Kelce had three catches for 42 yards at halftime

Call it a false start penalty against Tony Romo. Or, does the former NFL quarterback-turned-broadcaster know something the rest of the world has yet to learn?

 

Romo mistakenly referred to superstar singer Taylor Swift as the wife of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during Kansas City’s game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon, USA Today reported. And, predictably, posters on social media were roughing the (former) passer.

With Buffalo leading 14-0 early in the second quarter, Kelce caught a 23-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes, ESPN reported. The completion, on 3rd-and-18, continued the Chiefs drive.

The CBS Sports camera cut to a shot of Swift in an Arrowhead Stadium suite, and that is when Romo fumbled on the play.

“That’s amazing, this (pass) is intercepted by most people,” Romo said. “As you see Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift in the audience … er, I’m sorry, girlfriend.”

“Not yet,” play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz quipped.

Swift wore a red crewneck with “Chiefs” written across the chest for the game, Entertainment Tonight reported. She wore it with a black leather skirt, leggings, black knee-high boots and red lipstick.

Swift, the 12-time Grammy Award winner who was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year on Wednesday, and Kelce have both stated they began seeing each other in early August, USA Today reported. They were already a couple when the singer visited Arrowhead Stadium for a Sept. 24 game.

Unfortunately for Swift and Kelce, the Chiefs lost 20-17 to the Bills. A late 25-yard completion from Mahomes to Kelce, who tossed a lateral to Kadarius Toney that was run for a touchdown, was negated by a penalty against Toney, who lined up in the neutral zone.

That might have been the second-biggest mistake of the night.

Taylor Swift consoles dejected boyfriend Travis Kelce as they hold hands while leaving Kansas City stadium on golf cart after Chiefs’ controversial loss to Bills in dying moments of nail-biting game

 

Taylor Swift and a devastated-looking Travis Kelce were spotted holding hands as they left Arrowhead together on Sunday night, after the pop superstar flew halfway across the country to watch him lose a second straight game.

Swift hot-footed it from New Jersey to Kansas City on Sunday morning in time to watch Kelce’s Chiefs play against the Bills – her sixth game of the season – but it ended in another defeat for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Swift, meanwhile, had ditched her red and black Chiefs jumper and was dressed in an all-black outfit – perhaps matching the mood of her man after a tough day.

In an exclusive DailyMail.com video taken seconds later, Swift can be seen waving to fans as the cart whisked them away, while Kelce remained stony-faced beside her.

The pair will now get to spend some time together before Swift celebrates her birthday on Wednesday, when she will turn 34.

It has been an incredible week for the pop sensation, after she was named TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year, and spoke out about her relationship with Kelce in an accompanying interview.

Taylor Swift has conquered the music world. She is currently the leader at the box office. And now, she has gained the respect and approval of her partner’s parents.

Ed Kelce, the father of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is speaking out about his admiration for the “Cruel Summer” singer.

“She’s very smart. I mean, very,” Kelce told People. “That comes through right away.”

Papa Kelce recounted the first time he met the “very charming” Swift.

“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around,” he recalled. “Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can.”

Kelce was glad that the Grammy winner never “got the diva memo,” pointing out that acting as a “spoiled musician” wasn’t in Swift’s nature.

The football dad was caught chatting with the “Love Story” artist during Kansas City’s game against the Denver Broncos on Oct. 12. Naturally, the Chiefs won the game, as they have yet to lose a game that Swift has attended.

Swift has also been spotted several times talking to and hugging Donna Kelce, Travis’ mother, at Kansas City games.

Mama Kelce revealed that hanging out with Swift feels like being “in an alternate universe” because the singer’s extreme fame is something she’s “never been involved with before,” she said on the “Got It From My Momma” podcast.

“I thought [the media circus] would be over [after the first game], but it seems to just continue, and every week just seems to trump the week before,” she said. “So it’s really kind of wild, a wild ride.”’

She also talked about whether she thought the NFL was focusing too much attention toward her son and Swift’s romance.

“All I can tell you is that the NFL is laughing all the way to the bank,” Donna told podcast host Jennifer Vickery Smith. “You know what I’m saying? Good for them. They’re getting the ramifications of everything.”

She added that it was “pretty cool” that many of Swift’s fans are getting familiarized with football because of the relationship. “I can tell you this, that they’ve told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could have [gotten by paying] $1 million to a PR firm,” Donna said.

Travis Kelce has previously commented that the NFL was “overdoing it” when it comes to the Swift coverage. He and his older brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, addressed the topic earlier this month on their “New Heights” podcast.

“I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game, you know?,” Travis Kelce said on the show. “I think it brings a little more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think, uh …”

Jason jumped in and said, “They’re overdoing it.”

Travis responded: “They’re overdoing it a little bit, for sure. Especially my situation.”

Taylor Swift is extending her generosity to a place close to her heart.

 

Following the devastating tornados that swept through multiple Tennessee counties Saturday, Swift made a $1 million donation to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Hal Cato, CEO of the community foundation, confirmed Swift’s contribution. The organization operates a fund that supports nonprofits providing vital services in all phases of a disaster: immediate relief, short-term recovery, and long-term recovery. Those interested in donating can visit www.cfmt.org.

Though she’s often seen socializing on the East Coast, the megastar just named Time magazine’s Person of the Year has ties to Nashville, where she still lives and has her office.

As a teenager, Swift attended Hendersonville High School in Sumner County, one of several including Davidson and Montgomery that were ravaged by storms that killed at least six people, injured dozens and destroyed homes and buildings.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, the tornado that devastated Clarksville in Montgomery County traversed an 11-mile path with peak winds of 150 mph.

Swift’s donation is hardly the first time the newly minted billionaire has quietly engaged in philanthropy.

Throughout her Eras Tour this year, Swift made sizable contributions to food banks in every U.S. city she played.

A spokesperson for the Arizona Food Bank Network told CNN that Swift’s donation allowed the organization to send tractor-trailers with 40,000 pounds of fresh produce to its member food banks while also augmenting funding for programs that combat hunger.

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley Food Bank disclosed that during her tour stop in Santa Clara, California, Swift donated enough “to nourish an average of about 500,000 people every month in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.”

Swift’s bigheartedness extended in-house as well. As the Eras Tour wrapped its first leg in August, the singer bestowed $55 million in bonuses to her tour family, including dancers, truck drivers, sound crew and catering staff

In the photo, Kelce is wearing the same clothes he wore when arriving to Arrowhead Stadium earlier in the day while Swift is in an all-black outfit.

“Sir you’re gonna break the internet,” wrote one commenter on the Instagram carousel. Within an hour, the photo was being shared far and wide across social media.

Sunday’s game marked the sixth one Swift has attended this season thus far, and the first since she publicly confirmed her relationship with the tight end in an interview with Time magazine after being named its 2023 person of the year.

She told Time that she is happy to be at the NFL games supporting her partner and that she has “no awareness of if I’m being shown too much (on TV) and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

Swift and Kelce first started hanging out in the summer, she told the outlet, and went public with their relationship when she attended her first Chiefs’ game on Sept. 24. In the weeks (and months) that followed, fans and media have breathlessly followed their every move as the relationship progressed throughout the football season and amid Swift’s international leg of her ever-popular “Eras Tour.”

Travis Kelce appears to be in his Evermore era. ‘Tis the damn season to reflect on Taylor Swift’s ninth studio album, which was released three years ago today, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end seemed to do just that with his latest pre-game outfit.

 

Kelce arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, for the Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in a cottage-core style ensemble, donning an undeniably cozy fit that included a green-and-brown plaid shirt, furry pants and a forest green beanie. Fans were quick to praise the look on social media, calling it “evermore coded.”

Evermore, which is officially stylized in all lower caps, dropped on Dec. 11, 2020, just a few short months after Swift’s first pandemic surprise album, Folklore. The former featured the fan favorite songs, “Willow,” “Champagne problems,” “‘Tis the Damn Season” and “No Body, No Crime” featuring Haim — to name a few.

Kelce recently opened up about his style sensibilities on the Riggle’s Picks podcast.

“It’s full-on me,” he shared, revealing that he tends to dress himself rather than enlist a stylist. “I kind of went to like, an artsy, very multicultural school and community growing up. Every day at my school, there was kids showing up in the latest, newest, hottest gear and sneakers and everything, and I just naturally kind of gravitated towards having fun with what I throw on.”

This isn’t the first time Kelce looks to have offered a fashionable nod to Swift’s music. The NFL star appeared to offer a subtle tie-in to Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) marketing campaign as the couple made a surprise appearance at the Saturday Night Live taping and after-party in October, wearing a jacket that featured pale blue-and-yellow birds. The light blue hue and white seagulls had been a signature component of the beachy visuals Swift used throughout that album’s release cycle.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has also channeled his creativity into his own clothing line, Tru Kolors, which recently made him the first NFL star to have a club merchandise collaboration with the league. While the collection has a very athletic feel, there’s also a Swiftie-friendly cardigan thrown in the mix.

On Sunday, Swift was dressed in support of her beau as she rocked a red crewneck with “Chiefs” written across the chest. She paired with a black leather skirt, leggings, and black knee-high boots to complete the outfit.

After the team’s tough loss to the Bills, Swift pulled off her Chiefs sweater to reveal a sleek black top with silver embellishments while still keeping her black mini-skirt and large black overcoat on. She and Kelce were seen leaving the stadium together hand-in-hand.

During the game, Taylor also had an interesting moment after NFL announcer and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo referred to her as Travis’ wife while on the air with announcing partner Jim Nantz.

“As you see, Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience,” Romo pointed out, quickly correcting himself and saying, “I’m sorry — girlfriend.”

“Not yet,” Nantz said in response.

Last week, in a Time Magazine feature as 2023’s Person of the Year, Swift opened up about becoming a late-in-life NFL fan as she began watching while supporting Kelce.

“Football is awesome, it turns out,” she joked. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

As for the negativity she has faced for becoming a “scene stealer” at the games, Swift said she has no control over how often she’s shown by the broadcast cameras.

“There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” Taylor said. “I’m just there to support Travis. Swift’s decision to have a public relationship with the NFL tight end is something new she’s trying after dating indie actor Joe Alwyn for six years in private.

Swift has been known to keep her relationships extremely private, besides the lyrics she shares in her songs. The “Midnights” singer doesn’t typically speak about her romantic life in the press, and she’s been known to run from a car into an event with a boyfriend instead of allowing photographs from paparazzi.

In fact, the public knew very little about her six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. The two began their relationship secretly in 2016, with Swift later revealing the timeline of their love affair in a diary entry included with the deluxe edition of her “Lover” album.

“I’m essentially based in London, hiding out, trying to protect us from the nasty world that just wants to ruin things,” the pop star wrote in an entry dated January 2017. “We have been together and no one has found out for 3 months now.”

In 2019, Swift explained why she chose not to share details of her time with Alwyn with the public, telling The Guardian, “I’ve learned that if I do, people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion.”

Alwyn’s creative side led Swift to collaborate with the actor, who used the pen name William Bowery, during their relationship. He’s listed as a co-author on songs from her albums “folklore,” “evermore” and “Midnights” – “exile,” “betty,” “champagne problems,” “coney Island,” “evermore” and “Sweet Nothing.”

Swift and Alwyn were also rarely photographed together. The “Conversations with Friends” actor was notoriously missing from the audience during Swift’s NYU commencement speech – where she was also given an honorary doctorate degree in fine arts.

Even the end of Swift’s relationship with Alwyn was shrouded in secrecy. The news was shared with the world in April, right after Swift kicked off “The Eras Tour,” but few details were shared.

“They had plenty in common and fell in love in a safe bubble while she was retreating from the world during ‘Reputation,’” a source told People magazine at the time. “Then, the pandemic hit, and they were locked down together and able to continue growing their relationship in this insulated way. But he didn’t really ‘know’ her yet outside of that bubble.”

The indie actor, who debuted his career in 2016 with “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” reportedly struggled “with Taylor’s level of fame and the attention from the public.”

However, she seems to have changed her tune with Travis.

Swift and Travis first publicly confirmed their relationship in September as the pop star attended the Kansas City Chiefs player’s football game against the Chicago Bears. Swift sat in Travis’ suite alongside his mother, Donna Kelce.

Since then, Swift has found herself back at stadiums, cheering on her man and often ending up on the big screen: “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she told Time magazine about the attention she receives from the NFL.

TAYLOR SWIFT HINTS TRAVIS KELCE ROMANCE IS SERIOUS WITH THESE SUBTLE CLUES

Swift confirmed she met Travis in July, shortly after Travis revealed he never got to give the singer-songwriter a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it while attending the Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Travis opened up about his intentions on meeting Swift during an episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” which he hosts alongside his brother, Jason Kelce.

While Alwyn seemingly struggled with the public’s obsession with Swift, Travis has a different take on the attention that comes with dating one of the world’s biggest artists.

“I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl, and right now even more on top of the world, so it’s fun man,” Travis previously told reporters during a postgame press conference about the attention he’s received since debuting his relationship.

“At the same time, [the attention] comes with it. You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, for good reason. So … just got to keep living and earning and enjoying the moments.”

Travis has also been supportive of Swift, even flying out to Argentina to support her during the international leg of the Eras Tour on his bye week. After performing, Swift ran to Travis for a kiss in front of fans. Everyone cheered as Swift’s exited the stage and the screams got louder as Swift’s backstage PDA shocked the group.

“I do think [the PDA] was a strategic move,” celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti previously told Fox News Digital. “And I also think that Taylor feels comfortable enough to present this relationship because I think she sees this as ‘endgame.’ I think she thinks Travis is the one and that’s why she’s being so public and open about it.”

There was likely a conversation between Swift and Kelce ahead of their public displays of affection, Conti noted.

“I think that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce sat down and had an incredibly honest and almost businesslike conversation about the trajectory of their relationship because they are both huge public figures,” she explained.

“I do believe that they sat down, and they said, ‘Hey, listen, let’s put this on the table. What level of public, what are you comfortable with sharing?’”

Every December, Google reveals a list of the year’s most popular search terms — reflecting top-trending queries on news events to historic cinematic showdowns (Barbenheimer) to musicians. This year, however, Taylor Swift — whose record-breaking Eras Tour and re-recordings have dominated 2023 — did not make the roll call.

Although Swift, who has can been name-dropped by everyone from Time (see: Person of the Year) to the Grammys, wasn’t on the tech-giant’s global round up, her beau was. Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs featured on both the top five most searched athletes and the most searched people.

And while Shakira topped the most searched musicians globally, followed by “Try That In a Small Town” country singer Jason Aldean and Swift’s ex-lover Joe Jonas, the “Anti-Hero” singer was nowhere to be found.

Yet, as Gizmodo first pointed out, Swift surpassed Aldean every day of 2023, except for July 16 to July 22 — when “Try That in a Small Town” drew backlash for its controversial video. Swift drew more searches than Shakira as well, not counting the brief moment the Columbian singer swooped the No. 1 spot in January after unleashing her viral song blasting soccer player Gerard Piqué following their split.

While there appears to be a disconnect between data showing Swift’s overwhelming search-term popularity and Google’s annual list, a spokesperson for the company says there’s a simple explanation. Basically, Swift’s name, like the “Weather” and “Cricket,” is such a common search term (at least compared to 2022) it doesn’t warrant a gold sticker for this year’s trends.

“Top trending lists make for more colorful and interesting data pulls and are generally better at identifying what people were curious about in 2023 relative to 2022,” Google spokesperson Colette Garcia told Gizmodo. “The ‘trending’ queries are the searches that had a high spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2023 as compared to 2022. Taylor Swift is someone who consistently has a high amount of Search interest, not someone who had a big spike in 2023 as compared to 2022.”

Travis Kelce has big plans in store for celebrating Taylor Swift‘s birthday, multiple sources reveal to Us Weekly.

An insider exclusively tells Us that Kelce, 34, “wants to throw the best party possible” for Swift, who turns 34 on Wednesday, December 13. “Money is not an object,” the source adds, noting that Kelce wants Swift’s “close friends” to join in on the fun.

Per a second source, the party will be held in New York City as opposed to Kelce’s home turf in Kansas City.

The couple sparked dating rumors in September when Swift was spotted cheering for Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Two months prior, Kelce revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that he wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet when he attended her Eras Tour in the same stadium this summer. While he said the pair didn’t meet at the show, Swift recently shed light on the timeline of their romance in her TIME 2023 Person of the Year interview.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said, revealing that she and Kelce “started hanging out right after that.”

By the time she attended her first Chiefs game, Swift and Kelce were already an item. “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. … I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” she continued. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Swift has supported Kelce at several games throughout the season, including the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday, December 10, where she got an early birthday present from Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s family, gifted to her by Hunt’s daughter Ava, Swift was later spotted leaving Arrowhead with a disappointed Kelce after his team lost 20-17.

In pics circulating on social media, the twosome walked out of the venue hand in hand. Swift was featured on camera during Sunday’s broadcast — with CBS commentator Tony Romo even referring to her as Kelce’s wife — but she doesn’t mind the heightened attention on their love story.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told TIME. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Despite their busy schedules, the pair have made their budding relationship a priority by spending as much downtime together as possible. When the Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos in October, Swift changed her travel schedule to see Kelce sooner.
