Jason Kelce takes part in a charity run for autism as Philadelphia Eagles star is seen putting himself through his paces in New Jersey

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was seen working up a sweat over the weekend in a charity run for autism.

Kelce, who is still weighing up whether to continue his NFL career at the age of 36, completed Mike’s Seafood Run Walk for Autism in New Jersey to raise money for a terrific cause.

The NFL veteran looked exhausted by the end of the 5k run at Excursion Park, where he joined thousands of other competitors on Saturday afternoon.

‘JASON KELCE WE LOVE YOU,’ the charity run’s Facebook account wrote alongside photos of Kelce taking part. ‘Thanks for coming & supporting’.

Kelce carried out the run a week after a wild party in Las Vegas, where his brother Travis became a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs.

It came a week after his wild party in Las Vegas, where brother Travis became a three-time Super Bowl champion

    TRENDING

Jason joined Travis and his girlfriend Taylor Swift at a Vegas afterparty where he was seen dancing hilariously in a Mexican wrestling mask and a yellow-and-red Chiefs overall.

Clips of his drunken antics went viral on social media but Kylie Kelce, who has been married to the Eagles star since 2018, claimed she wasn’t surprised.

‘I was not surprised, not even a little bit,’ she said when asked about her husband’s wild night on The Strip during the Kelce brothers’ post-Super Bowl episode of their New Heights podcast.

‘At first was I surprised that you were wearing that mask? Yes. But am I surprised that you fully committed to wearing a f***ing Nacho Libre Kansas City-style mask for the entire afterparty? No.’

Jason, who watched the Super Bowl in a suite alongside Taylor Swift and her A-list pals, certainly made the most of his time in Sin City after heading to a number of concerts and hitting the casino with Kylie.

  • ‘I won’t pretend that I don’t worry about it, he is my son, and I worry about him because they will have some challenges in their relationship for sure,’ Ed said. ‘But they seem a good fit, and ultimately, they just need to find their way together.’

‘I won’t pretend that I don’t worry about it, he is my son, and I worry about him because they will have some challenges in their relationship for sure,’ Ed said. ‘But they seem a good fit, and ultimately, they just need to find their way together.’

Travis dad, Ed, hinted that his NFL star son could be considering heading Down Under to reunite with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The popstar hit the road again almost immediately after watching her tight end beau lift the Lombardi Trophy for a third time at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, jetting to Australia where she performed three shows in Melbourne last week.

The songstress is continuing her sold-out show in Sydney this week and with the NFL season and Super Bowl celebrations now wound-down, Travis could be considering a trip down to Australia to watch his girlfriend perform.

That’s according to his dad, Ed, who told the Sydney Morning Herald: ‘Well, look, we spoke after the Super Bowl , and I asked him, are you going to take off for Sydney, and he seemed keen.

‘He said he’d really like to see Sydney and Singapore, but he wasn’t sure because he has commitments. He is at a celebrity charity golf outing today, which, I think, is in Las Vegas.

Travis and Taylor have juggled their schedules to squeeze in time together with the singer attending 13 of his games this NFL season, including making a mad dash back from Tokyo to Vegas to make it to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Travis took advantage of the Chiefs bye week in November to play the role of doting boyfriend and watch Taylor perform to thousands of adoring fans in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

However, while America’s favorite couple appear to be managing their schedules well so far, Ed admitted he did have his concerns about the future for the two highly-successful lovebirds.

‘I won’t pretend that I don’t worry about it, he is my son, and I worry about him because they will have some challenges in their relationship for sure,’ Ed said. ‘But they seem a good fit, and ultimately, they just need to find their way together.’

With the Super Bowl now out of the way, Travis should have a relatively open diary throughout the NFL offseason until training camp with the Chiefs starts up in September.

Meanwhile, after her stint in Sydney, Swift has six shows in Singapore before she has two months off.

Touring then restarts on May 9 in Paris and Swift will be on the road until mid-August, by which point Kelce will have returned to practice with the Chiefs for the new NFL season, which begins in early September.

Being an eclectic chap, Cockburn has sampled his fair share of music. And he’s not ashamed to admit, contrary to Al Michaels’s suggestion that Taylor Swift only appeals to teenage girls, that he considers himself a “Swiftie” — not least of all because Swift makes repeated reference to one of his favorite activities: drinking alcohol.

Swift just released her new album, Midnights, along with an official music video to accompany her catchy and oh-so-clever song, Anti-Hero. The video tells you all you need to know about Swift’s preferred method for dealing with her problems. Though she never mentions booze by name, she appears in the video taking shots and desperately shaking the last drop from a bottle of wine directly into her mouth.

If Al Michaels thinks such twenty-one-plus imagery and metaphors are for “teenage girls,” he obviously hasn’t listened to much beyond Swift’s 2014 album, 1989. In studying her catalog — casually, of course, and not at all because Swift is his go-to Spotify station — Cockburn noticed that alcohol started to become a recurring theme in her music with the release of her record Reputation. This also came shortly after Swift met her now-longtime English boyfriend Joe Alwyn, and, boy, do those Brits know how to drink.

If Cockburn had to guess, he would say Swift developed a liking for the strong stuff after she swam “in a Champagne sea” in 2017. This is the same year she admitted to spilling wine in a bathtub while drunk and drinking beer out of plastic cups. She once drank old-fashioneds and focused on drinking while her love interest at the time was more focused on thinking. Later on in the same album, she met a new love interest in a bar, asked a former love interest to make her a drink, got drunk and made fun of the way Alwyn, presumably, talked and compared one of her boyfriend’s eyes to liquor. She also professes a fondness for Tennessee whiskey and informs us she can be found in a pub.

It was in 2020, however, that Swift really seems to have found refuge in the bottle. It was during Covid, when everyone was drinking more than we should. On her albums evermore and Folklore, Swift refers to her “spite and my tears and my beers and my candles,” “sitting in an airport bar,” “champagne problems,” “that dive bar,” “getting wasted,” being drunk under a streetlight and kissing in downtown bars, being drunk on something stronger than the drinks in the bar, getting drunk “but it’s not enough,” and drunk crying in the back of the car coming from the bar.

Cockburn senses Swift is something of a wino, making reference in other songs to “a glass of wine,” “cheap wine,” “rosé flowing,” “cheap-ass screw-top rosé,” “merlot on his mouth,” “priceless wine,” “a bottle of wine,” “the wine,” “my husband’s wine,” “a wine-stained dress,” and “cold wine.”

In Midnights, the drinking continues, with songs about “liquor in our cocktails,” “one drink after another,” and “my fourth drink in my hand.”

This latest offering is Swift all over — sentimental, inventive, memorable, and, as Cockburn’s colleague Alexander Larman labels it, “a bright spot in a bland music industry.” There’s something more brooding, introspective, and self-deprecating about Swift’s lyrics this time around, though, with the songstress admitting to “falling apart” and reflecting on the stress of fame’s constant scrutiny. Alcohol is a well-known recourse for creative types, and though Cockburn doesn’t encourage it as a solution to life’s challenges, he can hardly blame Swift if she is wont to overindulge now and then.

BREAKING: Kansas City Chiefs Expected To Cut Super Bowl Hero Due To Cap Space Concerns!

The Kansas City Chiefs come into the offseason needing to move some money around this offseason to keep their core group of players intact in their bid to complete a threepeat in the 2024 season. A hero from the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers is a likely cut.

The Kansas City Chiefs had a lot of poor WR play in 2023

The Chiefs wide receiver corps struggled for most of the regular season. Rookie receiver Rashee Rice and tight end Travis Kelce were quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ best options in 2023. Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling had multiple issues affecting their play.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling was a Super Bowl hero

Valdes-Scantling only had 21 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown in the regular season. Fortunately for the Chiefs, MVS turned it on in the Super Bowl. He finished with three receptions for 20 yards and caught a critical touchdown in the Chiefs comeback win.

    The Chiefs could cut MVS

Matt Okada, with the NFL’s website, wrote about anticipated cap casualties this offseason. Okada thinks MVS could be out, even after his spectacular play in the Super Bowl:
“A couple big catches notwithstanding, Valdes-Scantling was more memorable for his missed plays in 2023 and finished the regular season with just 21 catches for 315 yards and one touchdown.

That’s nowhere close to the numbers needed to justify his $14 million cap hit in 2024. With MVS counting for just $2 million in dead money (and $12M in savings), the three-peat hungry Chiefs would be well served to move on and seek their admittedly much-needed WR depth elsewhere.”
Per Over the Cap, the Chiefs are heading into the offseason with about $15 million in cap space. The team needs to extend star defensive tackle Chris Jones, which won’t be cheap. The Chiefs could try to find a WR2 or WR3 in free agency and build around Rice as their WR1 for 2023.

But the Chiefs should consider adding a wide receiver in April’s loaded pass-catching draft.

Why Jason Kelce Thinks the NFL Should Continue to Show Taylor Swift on TV Game Broadcasts

Jason Kelce is defending his brother Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift, explaining why he believes the NFL should keep showing her on TV, following months of her appearances at Chiefs games.

Jason Kelce has Taylor Swift‘s back.

The Philadelphia Eagles center is defending his brother Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend amid criticism over live TV coverage of the singer’s appearances at the Kansas City Chiefs star’s games.

“The attention’s there because the audience wants to see it,” he told ABC affiliate WCPO 9 in an interview posted Feb. 2. “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. I know that. She’s a world star, she’s the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer-songwriter, immensely talented, unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.”

Jason offered the NFL some words of advice. “So I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to show her,” Jason said, “and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”

The athlete and his wife Kylie Kelce, parents of three young daughters, met Taylor in person for the first time Jan. 21, at the Chiefs’ playoffs game against the Buffalo Bills. There, Jason went viral himself when TV coverage and social media videos showed him raking off his shirt and celebrating outside their stadium suite with fans.

Taylor and Jason later reunited the following week at the Chiefs’ AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens, which they won to advance to the 2024 Super Bowl. Two and the brothers’ parents Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce then celebrated with Travis on the field—with the “Blank Space” singer and the star tight end kissing on live TV for the first time.

“Shout out to the newest member of Chiefs Kingdom, Taylor Swift,” Jason later said during the Jan. 31 episode of his and Travis’ New Heights podcast, before adding jokingly, “who has officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year.”

The Chiefs star laughed, adding, “Yeah shoutout to Tay, thanks for joining the team.”

July 2023: So, Make the Friendship Bracelets

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s love story began in July 2023, when the singer’s Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it. However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his New Heights podcast. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as “metal as hell”—Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,” he shared on The Pat McAfee Show. “I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor.

As he later noted of the era, “That ‘stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time.”

    September 2023: Sparks Fly

By early September, a source close to the situation told E! News that Travis and Taylor were “texting and talking here and there.”

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

    Sept. 24, 2023: Cheer Captain

Accepting Travis’ invite, Taylor joined the athlete’s mom Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were seen packing PDA at a local bar.

Though folklore had it that it was the couple’s first in-person meeting, the “Karma” singer later clarified the two had spent a “significant amount of time” getting to know each other beforehand.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

November 2023: Karma Is Her Boyfriend

During a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, at the Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, but he also got a special shoutout from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

After the show, the Midnights artist was seen running up to Travis backstage and greeting him with a passionate kiss.

    December 2024: Speak Now

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

“I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told Time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone.”

“My advice to you if you are going to retire: Accept it, enjoy your family, brother,” Shaq recently told Kelce on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”

“I made a lot of dumbass mistakes to where I lost my family and I didn’t have anybody. That’s not the case for you, so enjoy your beautiful wife, enjoy your beautiful kids, and never dwell on what we had. What we had is what we got. You got the ring, people know who you are. Shaq’s statements echoed what he had told Page Six about his chat with the Super Bowl-winning center.

The Basketball Hall of Famer has admitted to not being the “best partner” to his ex-wife, Shaunie, with whom he has four children — sons Shareef and Shaqir, and daughters Amirah and Me’arah; Shaunie also has a son from a previous relationship.

“My advice to you if you are going to retire: Accept it, enjoy your family, brother,” Shaq recently told Kelce on the podcast.YouTube/The Big Podcast with Shaq

Shaq initially filed for divorce from Shaunie Nelson in 2007, but the divorce was called off less than a year later.

Shaunie then filed for separation in 2009, and their divorce was finalized in 2011.

Shaq also has a daughter, Taahirah, with ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, whom he dated before marrying Nelson.

“I had two perfect women and I messed it up,” Shaq said on Monica’s “MoTalk Radio” in June. “My first one was my baby mother, Arnetta [Yardbourgh], and then I met Shaunie [Nelson]. Shaunie was also a perfect woman and I messed it up.

Kelce, who supported brother Travis at Chiefs playoff games en route to their Super Bowl 2024 win, is expected to make a decision soon on whether to return for a 14th season with the Eagles or hang up his cleats.

Nick Wright settles Patrick Mahomes vs. Tom Brady debate with wild take

Fresh off a third Super Bowl Championship, Patrick Mahomes continues to cement his name among the greats. In fact, there’s already an ongoing debate involving the Kansas City Chiefs superstar and NFL legend Tom Brady. Many are comparing Mahomes and Brady’s accolades during their first seven seasons in the NFL, and this was touched on by TV personality Nick Wright.

In a recent episode of First Things First, Wright explained why Mahomes will soon be the top standard to which all NFL players are held to.

“You know Brady missed the playoffs in year three, (his) second year as a starter,” Wright said, per ClutchPoints and First Things First on Fox Sports. “Healthy, not the ACL year, (he) missed the playoffs and was not anywhere close to the driving force for the beginning of his career. Mahomes is going to be the standard to which guys are held. He is not held to anyone’s standard. He is Babe Ruth, he is Wayne Gretzky, he is Tiger Woods. He is the guy that people are now going to compare others to.”

Additionally, Wright also mentioned that during Tom Brady’s first dozen years in the NFL, it was debatable if he was even the best current quarterback at that time.

“Brady, for the first dozen years of his career, it was a real debate — is he the best current quarterback? And I don’t think he had the majority opinion…we have never seen someone in team sports, other than Gretzky, quite like Patrick Mahomes,” Wright added.

Right now, Mahomes is already considered the top QB among all the active names in the league. Even though he still needs four more Super Bowls to catch up to Brady, with the way he’s playing, the thought of it doesn’t seem impossible.

“The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights,” she continued. “Melbourne, you are the love of my life. I cannot believe you, what have you done.”

“It’s just incredibly nice to do for someone. Make them feel welcome like that,” Swift continued.

“Another thing that makes me feel very lucky, honestly, [is] standing here knowing I have the most incredible opening act on this tour,” the “Bad Blood” songstress continued, referring to her bestie Sabrina Carpenter, who has opened for Swift several times.

The singer’s comment comes mere days after a fan posted a clip of Swift on the social media site telling Friday night’s attendees that she was “starstruck” by the achievement, and that the performance was “the biggest show that we have done on this tour or any tour I have ever done.”

“That’s the version you get of me tonight, the version that’s completely starstruck by the fact that so many of you wanted to hang out with us on a Friday night in Melbourne,” the 14-time Grammy winner said.

Swift thanked her fans Down Under again in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“Melbourne, what do I even say to you after over 288,000 of you came and danced with us in the last 3 nights ??! That was unforgettable,” the “You Belong With Me” singer wrote. “You were on another LEVEL. Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often.”

Sadly, the “Blank Space” singer’s time in the country was not all happy after a 16-year-old fan, who was on her way to see the pop diva, was killed in a horrific crash that left her sibling fighting for her life.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Mieka Pokarier, 16, her mother and her sibling were jamming out to Swift’s tunes while they completed the 17-hour journey when their car collided with a semitruck in Dubbo, about 500 miles outside of their destination.

Pokarier was pronounced dead at the scene while her sister Freya Pokarier, 10, was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where, according to the outlet, she was placed in a medically induced coma as she recovers from brain injuries, a broken leg and damaged pelvis.

The girl’s mother sustained minor injuries and was transferred to a medical facility in Dubbo where she is in stable condition.

“It should have been a dream road trip,” Pokarier’s godmother Karleigh Fox told the Daily Telegraph. “They had been talking about this since before they got the tickets. They spent eight hours refreshing their screens hoping to score tickets and were over the moon to land tickets at both Melbourne and Sydney venues.”

It is currently unknown if Swift was made aware of the tragic crash.
