Larry Bird calls LeBron James one of the greats, ‘if not the greatest ever’

Boston Celtics fans aren’t known for their admiration or love for Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James. Since James joined the league in 2003, he’s been a villain and foil for Boston, but one member of the Celtics orbit thinks it’s time for fans to soften their criticism and embrace James. Hall of Famer Larry Bird recently explained why he thinks fans across the NBA need to celebrate the 39-year-old James.

“Quit whining about LeBron,” Bird said. “Enjoy him while he’s here. He’s unbelievable. He’s one of the greatest, if not the greatest ever.”
